I like your suggestion about placing content from your newsletter in FB or Linkedin groups and then plugging in the link to your newsletter. But, the problem is that every single group does not allow self promotion, ads, linking. So, how the heck do I find groups that don’t have this in their rules. Seems like an impossible task.
Its hard! I would say you have to really frame the content in a way that gives value to the group. Or look for opportunities where someone asks a question and you can say "hey I answered this on my blog or email list" check it out
Great video... but it would be helpful if you explained how to monetize with Beehiiv. I'm still not seeing how this is different from any other email Autoresponders. I hear you can monetize in difference ways but this is the fourth video I watched (two on your channel) on the company but nothing on monetization. I guess my question isn't that popular. You would think the first video you would create on the company would be a comparison video, outlining all the ways you can monetize a newsletter with Beehiiv, that other email companies doesn't offer. Can you cover this topic in-depth? Thanks!

@@joshuafcenters great question - in my experience its been average with the caveat that it has got better recently.
Largely because I have been adding questions to my emails that prompt a reply from the audience.
I haven't used convert kit myself but I know its extremey popular as well
Would Quora be a good platform to promote your newsletter?
Nope as you can't direct people away to your own URL so wouldn't recommend it
Yes it is a good platform to promote your newsletter. People even use Quora for affiliate marketing, so I don't see why you can't use it to promote your newsletter. You can add links on your profile or on the answers. They just don't allow some of the affiliate links to be posted directly without a landing page. So i don't know what Patrick means by "you can't direct people to your own url."

So just have contacts already... lol, not so good strategy for people with no prior contacts.

Hi, I recently sold a business and part of the agreement was that I was able to retain customer data, including emails. The niche is baby, and the customers are from the last 5+ years and some likely don't have babies anymore, but small kids. So it's a mix of new parents and parents of small kids. The list is over 12k.
I was thinking of creating a newsletter for parents that could be monetized. Any suggestions or ideas?

Really interesting video as I'm using BiiHiiv to launch my new newsletter. Wondering what did you use to post the blogs as you mentioned? Did you do posts on BiiHiiv or use something else?
I used BeeHiiv for those - it automatically creates blog posts from the emails you send out
I'm interested in World wide news. Spend most of my time collecting news about international affairs, current affairs.

With your email, when you sent it to 200 people, did you have any problems with your email being sent to SPAM folder? Or did you break it down to a max of number of recipients? I just don't want my gmail address to get blacklisted ... 😣😣
I didn't have too many issues with that. Make sure to ask people to mark you as safe or as a VIP sender. Ask people to reply that will all help

I'm interested i starting newsletter in tech and business niche mix with substack. Is this good or very competitive!
My advice would be to find a niche. Find something very specific. Eg a newsletter about marketing for dog groomers. Go ultra specific

It's okay but I much prefer BeeHiiv and they keep adding features all the time
@@patrickgw i would agree with that. Very elegant email templates can be made using beehive. Substack's email template is very dull.
