Found the Throttle a bit snatchy at first on mine but after a while i dont even think about it anymore so id say its definitely just a case of getting used to it.
also have no issue with the vibrations even at motorway speeds, glad your liking it the tiger was also my first venture into adventure bikes i didnt like the GS and the tiger just suited me

HI Shaun, nice bike, its one I am thinking off as well. I was enjoying the fact that you have just ridden through Bunde. Its been over 30 years since I was last there as my father was stationed there. We lived in Schinkestrasse, if you know of it. Good to see the old town again. Enjoy your ride.

Well done Shaun , on NOT going GSA route 👌 done 12000 miles on my XR this year and know exactly what you mean about being "locked in" and the Tiger is definitely top of my list , especially now Triumph have bought out the active lowering suspension, looking forward to seeing how you get on with her👍

Looks great, but I just couldnt get on with the Rally Pro vague front end feel or those extra vibes. I personally would love to see a 1200 Sport version with smoother 1200RS 120 degree triple, 17" front wheels & much lighter chain drive 👍

  • @MOTOUK1

I ride in road mode, but in the menu I set the throttle to rain. That then gives me a soft throttle map in road mode. Works perfect 👍 question, do you use the lowering function in the new firmware ?

I haven't checked, but I'd heard that it's possible. I'm pretty tall so it's not something I've ever needed or even given a thought, but maybe I'll give it more attention, as this bike is so tall👍

It comes to all of us, the comfort of an adventure bike and we are spoilt for choice now. I love my Multi V2S and I fancy a V4S next time but having had a Tiger before it’s definitely in the mix given the VFM at the moment and the joys of a Triple. But having owned three GSs I’m bound to give one a try🤣. Enjoy and I look forward to you putting a lot of miles on the new bike…

I changed my 800 XCa this year, I looked at the 1200 rally pro but two things put me off, Price and the seat height. I decided on a 900 rally pro, it’s a lot more cost effective and I can touch the floor which is a must as I do a lot of proper off roading on it. They are all lovely bikes though.

Over 53mph, not sure kph conversion, you should see the white shock indicator flashing and it goes back up. I’m short on a gtp so the extra 10-20mm helps my 29” inseam get a sure footing!! I went for the GT Pro after riding the Rally it was just too tall for me (183cm), I also felt the GT was a bit more nimble on the road although that could be just in y head……Replaced the screen with a WRS unit, like you I haven’t notice any issues with intrusive vibration, I did fit some bar risers, heated seat, lower and upper crash bars. The induction noise when you’re really winding it up puts me in mind of a 70’s American muscle car 🤣. I fitted the SW Motech day bag, and with the bar risers it’s difficult to pull that Orange loop.
My only real gripe is getting it on the centre stand (I’m past 60 so not as strong as I once was), overall though a great vid on a superb bike 👍

Keep the videos coming Shaun. It’s always good to hear fellow owners experience with the bike and what goodies you’re adding. I agonised then bought the Rally Explorer in the end. Bigger tank but you do get the tasty factory extras 😂 plus I’m 6’3” and the bikes weightless once you’re moving. I also have the seat up in the high position like you as it does improve leg room and I guess you’ll get the software update at your post running in service. Nice video mate. I would like to know if you have found a way to make all you comms work properly. I hava a Cardo Packtalk edge which is connected to my phone via Bluetooth. It is also connected to my bike - as a GPS connection. My wife also has a Packtalk Edge so mine and hers are connected via another Bluetooth connection. That is 3 bluetooth connections. I alos have a Zumo XT and I have not even connect that to my Packtalk and not even tried because the Packtalk can apparently only have 2 b;luetooth connectionsa anyhow. My phone is also connected to my bike and I assume yours is too. Soooo my issue is that there seems to be confusion as to which device controls the music. to my headset. The music an calls are going from my phone to the bike, the bike is trying to send the sound to my headset but my phone is trying to do the same thing. They keep fighting with each other and nothing works properly. Ive tried to disable my Pacxktalk to phone bluetooth connection when on the bike but that does not work either. Id love to know your exact setup if you have it all working properly. On ther GoPro side...the bike works with my old GoPro 7 but nothingg newer than that.

I've had the GT ex version about 9 months now. I agree the Rally looks better in green but the lower height of the GT and no need for off road action made the GT a better decision. The active lowering is a real game changer as it takes a little of the stress out of managing in low speed. Throttle is snatchy combined with aggressive engine braking. You get smoother with practice but smoother mapping would be nice. Vibes are only an issue at speeds > legal in 6th so....
