I am from the Czech Republic and don’t know much about Irish football. But when Dundalk played Europa League I was cheering for them. It was great for the team like them to be able to play against Arsenal or Rapid Wien… As always this is amazing video from you.
I drove down from Belfast ferry port to Dublin back in 2006 and the one thing I really remember noticing was much how the road quality improves after crossing the border. Two other things I remember about that trip, one was Scotland winning the Kirin Cup at that time, and the other was being on the internet in the hotel and discovering this brand new website called RUclips for the first time, didn't have any idea back then about how it would take off.

Last time I was in Ireland was in 2014, which was for a weekend in Cork. I thought the statue of Jack Charlton in the airport was pretty cool, wouldn't mind going back some time.

I've been to Ireland four times flying from Glasgow Prestwick with Ryanair and I've never had to use a passport! All I had to provide was photo ID and I was able to use my driving licence for that, but then, of course, the UK was a member of the EU back then. My friends brother was technically the manager for Dundalk for their match against Arsenal because the manager at the time did not have a Uefa coaching badge and he was the only member of the backroom staff that had one so he had to step in as maneger

LOI clubs struggle to have proper facilities. No FA assistance for years , no government help and a lot of people in Ireland follow English football and indigenous games . It’s a big struggle to make big funds to improve facilities
They had to use Shamrock Rovers Tallaght stadium twice in the group stages because there ground wasn't up to Uefa standard...they basically squandered millions and literally have nothing from it now...
