I only started to check basketball on 2021, when social media started to recommend me Magic shorts.. never cared about JR, an thought he was a party boy that was a bad influence to Melo. I am almost in tears now, great job. Helluva person, melted my heart.
That was called Propaganda & a False Narrative , perpetuated to lower his value innan era when "THUGS" needed to be "put in their place" by the league , after defamation of course, & forced to comply, "or else". That whole Nuggets team was put under that label. *Melo, Camby, A.I., J.R., K-Martin, Birdman, etc. etc. All thanks & in help with their P.O.S. racist & biggoted, toxic, virus, Head Coach, Karl. They should have won 3 Championships.
I've followed J.R.'s career since he first came in the league. This guy has always given 110% to any team he's played for, almost always came off the bench and done whatever role his coach and team asked of him without question and done it extremely well(sixth man of the year award for the Knicks), hit clutch shot after clutch shot every time it was asked of him and played with a signature flair and panache that few other players have ever equalled. With his level of talent, coming straight from high school to the league is one hell of a challenge several players have attempted but only a few have lived up to the pressures of, it would have been easy for him to succumb to the money and lifestyle temptations that such a precipitous jump presents. It's a testimony to his folks having raised a fine human being that he was able to keep it all in perspective where many before him and since have failed not to mention as gifted a player as he was not pouting or getting an attitude that he wasn't a starter when clearly he was a more talented player than guys that were starters ahead of him. J.R. congratulations on a terrific career and double congratulations on all the great community work since and giving back to the communities. I salute you sir.
lfg!!! My favorite player from my favorite nuggetss teams - I used to always say had he went to NC, he would have came in as #1 pick/franchise player and would have had a career that was much different.
Excellent video. I always thought that JR got a bad rap, especially regarding the "gaffe". My take at the time it happened was, he made a mistake, but the game is tied and still win-able. LeBron totally mishandled the situation, pointing fingers, showing JR up, and pouting. Jordan, Bird, Magic, Kobe, etc would have settled things down and got the team to concentrate on winning the game. LeBron took his team's mindset away from winning the game. Kudos to JR for moving on post-basketball, excelling in college, and setting a positive example.
My brother you doing good I'm proud of you im from trinidad and Tobago and i love what you are doing and i all so is doing the same and think the same keep doing what god what you to do keep strong 😊😊😊😊😊
Who the fuck says Jr smith is just a meme ?? Denver Smith and New york smith was the most astonishing player to watch. He could score with any kind of way and his athletisism was through the roof.
Love this man my second favorite player. I was a diehard Denver fan until Melo went to NYC and then JR followed...i want a what if series on 2013 lol 😅 I was wondering what your plan for this channel would be after Melo retired
that lost aint on jr smith idc what anyone say first off george gill missed the free throw that would put them up somehow jr smith was able to get the board which took away the chance of gsw getting the last shot he passed it to george hill with enough time to atleast get the shot off it got blocked after all of that it was tied and went to ot so the cavs had more opportunities to win they just tryna make him the scape goat and if you try to say he coulda went up with it kd tall ass was right there what was the chance he made it not alot
A little disappointed with the documentary because I think it does JR Smith a disservice. I thought we were going to get a lot more footage of him actually going through his career etc instead of cuts of him from podcasts and game clips. He's a guy with a lot of interesting things to say and you don't really to hear much from him here. Big missed opportunity
What happened to JR was a clear example of Lebron as a leader, in the press conference after JR's mistake and didn't support him. Instead made it seem like he the Cavs Failure in the series was on JR.
if you liked the doc, you're gonna love the doc merch we made: shopctrlthenarrative.com/collections/new-drops/products/ctrl-more-than-a-meme-rap-tee

I have always been a JR fan because I appreciate how hard he plays and work.
