    1969 Ford Mustang Fastback Boss 302 Racing 5.0 Coyote Tremec T56 Build Project
    The 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback Boss 302 was a great build. Originally it came in as a simple classic car restoration. The owner decided to take the project to the next level by throwing a Ford Racing 5.0 Coyote engine into it. Adding to the build was a Total Control Products complete front suspension and a Tremec T56 transmission. The 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback Boss 302 needed some minor rust repair on the project. We did work done to the cowl, aprons, and floor pans. The major part of the fabrication came into play when we installed the Ford Racing 5.0 Coyote. We notched the shock towers, flipped the upper control arm mount and made custom motor mounts. We also raised the transmission tunnel, which worked well with the center console. Vintage Air provided the cooling in the passenger compartment and we used Magnaflow for the exhaust. The owner of this project wanted to get his hands dirty and is taking care of the wiring. The 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback Boss 302 will hopefully be on the road soon.

    Was the original car a real Boss 302 Serial number starting 9F02G which would make it the real deal. I know because in 1969 our BOSS 302 was a wedding gift to my wife. She drove it 3 years and it got traded for a BMW 2002. In 1987 I found the exact car 10 miles from where we lived. It was a piece of junk, The BOSS was restored and we own it to this day. It is currently in Illinois, but that last thing I move to Santa Fe, NM will be the Yellow Boss302. In Illinois it is license plated HER BOSS.

    How did you fit everything around the shock towers?

    • @cgc
      @cgc 5 лет назад +1

      The video shows where they notched the shock towers. With the coyote engine, you either have to remove the shock towers all together or notch them. I have not seen anyone successfully install a coyote engine in a first gen Mustang with the stock towers intact.

      69 Boss 302 did not have rear quarter vents like the original 69 fastbacks.

    Interesting mix of body parts as nose is 69 but from b-post rearwards it is 70

      69 Boss 302 didn't have quarter panel scoops.The door jamb is 69 and it has the small 69 side marker lights. Looks legit to to me. The proof would be the vin stamped at the top of LH splash pan

    Must not going to actually try and Power around much on those TINY rear tires.

    Very good, but not perfect.
    Still has leaf springs out back. Seriously?
    That stock hood's ugly. I hate that ironing board bulge on it. Always have. Would prefer it smoothed out and made of carbon.
    I'd prefer to have those rims in 18's or 19's.
    I'd also have my '69 302 in red.
    Other than that, very nice.
