My prognostication for C C and the fever is an upset of the entire league with an MVP and a ROTY award for our girl Caitlin.
@@louspring6872 you are not alone, my friend. There are many of us. I wouldn't be surprised if the Fever goes deep in there playoff run. Sending some of her haters home like she did to UCONN and LSU just a few months ago.
And they beat 2 olympians and 3 olympians. Now they have to be able to beat 4 olympians.
The Associated Press (AP) , part of the journalists that vote on ROTY, poled themselves, and Caitlin beat Reese 9 votes to 5. Again: 9 votes for Caitlin, 5 votes for Reese. 1 writer present didn't vote. I've posted before only writers vote, and I have no doubt Caitlin will win by a minimum 2 - 1 ratio. Caitlin's only going to get better

You know a lot of the Fever’s success depends on the decision making of Sides. Because if you go back to the Vegas game Sides did not want challenge the out of bounds call on Mitchell and they would have won the challenge. I believe the Liberty hit a 3-pt. Then later Sides challenges a call against Wheeler and you knew it didn’t stand a chance. She has to stay out of the way.
The Fever are still moving along the learning curve. They're getting better. They're in discovery mode!
Honestly, the game that scares me the most for the Fever is the Mystics. One thing young teams have trouble with is consistency and it's just to easy for them to have a let down against a team they should beat. I hope that doesn't happen. I know the Mystics are better than their record indicates but those are still games they HAVE to win if they want to be taken seriously. The Mercury game should be a fun one because you know Phoenix is going to want to avenge that loss. It's a little tougher to beat a veteran team when they have a little extra to play for. Chicago basically has a bye against Atlanta. We could see Angel go for 25 & 20. And to be honest, I think Chicago could be a tough match up for the Liberty. If Jones plays her disappearing act like she's prone to do, they don't really have anyone that can stop Carter, those games could be closer than we think. Should be a fun week...
The mystics look like a team that can beat anyone to me.
What Caitlin can do to really shut these doubters up is to make another triple double and/or equal her career high points. Make that definitive statement to leave no doubt.

If they can really master this transition offense especially off the rebound it's a back breaker. It looked like they gassed Jonquel Jones last game. 😂 Every time the Fever rebounded she just dropped her head knowing they were taking off down court.
Hope CC can string another triple double against Washington. Riding the confidence gained from the New York game.
SPOILER ALERT: Clark...Boston...Smith...Mitchell...Stephenson...AND a very competitive bench...I am impressed.

My guess is that more playoff games equals more money.
I believe what happen with CC during first 10 games is her expectation that WNBA players including her team mates are faster and have more high IQ. She realized that everyone struggles with the transition offense. None can catch the ball properly, cannot deliver from assist and cannot run fast. Now that her team mates are beginning to do that then the other WNBA teams are scared of that because all other teams are not build to that
Mystics wed 10th Friday 12 mercury
The schedule is in their favour in the second half with a lot of home games and only 5 or 6 games against the top 5 in the league. The Sky has a much tougher schedule with I think 10 games against the top 5 and more road games.

The question is can the team bring the mental constancy each game. We know CC brings it every game but I kinda think we will see a drop off from the others.
Chicago is the only below .500 team Indiana has lost to. That was a complete collapse. Fire Sides. Naphessa Collier out gives Indiana a chance. It will be a Iowa heavy crowd. That is the closing WNBA city from Iowa. Mystics tomorrow night should be a win. Phoenix could have Taurasi and/or Griner out. Taurasi has missed 2 out of the last3 since the Fever win die to back stiffness. Griner maybe out with Olympics near. Realistically Indiana could be 12-13 at the break. 1 fewer win than last year. Indiana has a good chance to get the 6th spot by the end of the year. Phoenix is a aging team and Indiana is young.
Taurasi sits out back to backs for rest. They "cite" back stiffness for an excuse so they don't have to admit she's just resting. That's the only reason she's been out those 2 games. Phoenix will bring their best against Indiana to avenge that last loss. Hopefully, Indiana doesn't try to discount them like you are or it will be another loss. I have no idea what to expect with Minnesota but Washington is a potential trap game. I hope they come ready to play like it's NY.
