If I recall correctly, they’re arranged from “regular” to “pastel” to “neutrals”
The Inkonic Fineliners are a DIFFERENT VERSION of these pens. The fineliners shown here do melt with water. However, they don’t erase that much, and they work amazing with dry mediums, and with alcohol markers. I’ve been using these since 2017. If your paper is thin then they DO bleed through.
Edit: also, Arteza uses weird numbers for their sets 😂😂 hence “102”
It's 102 because each layer has 34 pens and how would you get 0.33333..........in each layer?
100 divided by 3 = 33.3333333......
102 divided by 3 = 34
The very first thought I had as well was “...? Why 102?!”
Because the fineliners come in 3 trays, and you can't divide 100 in 3. But 102 : 3 = 34 is perfect.

Oh and as other option is take water and paintbrush as they are waterbased ink.
abigail van der Pluijm Like scribble them on clean plastic and wet them right away? I do something similar with gel pens and an alcohol blending marker ( the results are similar to water color but more even ).
@@BiteSizedCrafter yes! On paper you d need to usewater olorlaper but withthe plastic truck you can useany sort of paper.
Indigo Rodent you can color on the paper first, too. And this isn’t, like, the only option for fineliners.
@Indigo Rodent yaknow, I've always thought the same of watercolor pencils..🤷 I don't think I'll ever understand the point of them. I guess it's all in how you wanna use whatever medium.🤷 Cuz to water down a fine liner, to turn it into a fluid, rather than a pen sounds redundant to me too🤷

My trick to telling fineliners apart has been to scribble on a little piece of paper and taping it to the pen, since the colours on the caps can be misleading sometimes!

Also, I enjoyed the outcome. I used to sketch with colored ballpoints like this all the time and I miss it. Inspires me to pick up a pack of colored pens and start again.
I love organizing my art supplies too. Literally just did a bunch of organization with my paints. They needed love.

You have a great fine liner technique! Looks so good. I got the set of 72 I think... a long time ago. Color code is definitely needed. I found that the caps do not always match the ink color.

I did a self portrait on a 8x12 using only stippling.. took me an entire week. Bout 40 hours😩. But the effect is amazing and I'd hafta say, even if it is of me at 15 in my cat eared hoodie, it's my favorite drawing. I also did one of twiggy on a 24x24.. a month. Beautiful though.

Do you have OCD? A lot of people who had OCD likes when things are in order, and it could explain why you want them in order.

there's 102 because you can't divide 100 by 3. and to save costs, the packaging is 3 times the same, holding 34 pens per tray.
I love this drawing and the colors are beautiful. I like to draw in Procreate and then trace on my page but the screen doesn’t lock so sometimes it makes it tricky. Maybe I’m just missing something.

Marker manufacturers know nothing about colour order or colour. Ohuhu doesn't even give each set the primary colours plus green according to the colour chart. They don't even know the colour white exists!

I am personally a crazy person and have always used fineliner to fill big sections,I will say I have recently smartened up and started using multiple mediums even tho I am in love with fineliner.

I think your first sloppy crosshatch looks really cool. The way the shapes are interacting and overlapping and creating darker values in some areas is like some kind of crystal growth formations!
