Did you beat it? There is so little out there about this game that I’m literally crawling through RUclips looking for hints. How do you do the big boot without running? And how do you attack while holding the gun (aka not firing the gun). The controls in this game are a mess unless it’s my emulation, but if that’s the case this is the 1 game out of 6500 plus on my mod.
This version looks amazing, I wish we'd have gotten that one on consoles if it had been possible (probably not). David Wise showing his amazing talent once again in the soundtrack.
I can't praise the opening and first stage if this game enough. You jump right into a warzone, the music is brilliant, fits in perfectly with the chaos in the background and the fighting. I get chills, man. This feels like the gold standard.
This is best Battletoads game. No more damn snake puzzles, that rail cycle thing and that damn Rat Race level. Just punching, kicking and cartoonish shapeshifting Boot Kicks and hitting things with a telephone pole with concrete left on it for the entire game.

They two were a better choice (yeah, Tokka and Rahzer were better off as Technodrome mid-bosses).

yep, Rare said the game was a huge disappointment commercially. But it got rave reviews in that Rare Replay compilation on the Xbox 360 in 2015. It's a shame that nobody knew about this game, even people in the gaming industry. I think it's because it came out late for a beat em up. The Final Fight/Simpsons/TMNT era was done with by 1994. Fighting games were dominating and high end 3D stuff was starting to hit the market like Daytona and Virtua Fighter 2.
