I was force-fed a divorce for Christmas ‘88. I’ll say just two things. 1. When the divorce was final, I still wasn’t husband material. I needed TONS of attitude adjustment and a lot of teaching about how actions and words affect others. I was so clueless. 36 years later, I got myself in a position to learn from people whose marriages were successful and together. I’ve been married this time for 33-1/2 years. Not perfect, but in spite of some serious health issues, I work at improving our relationship. And about 15 years ago, my son from that 1st marriage told me that considering my improvement, his mother told him that divorcing me was a big mistake. Sorry, I harvested exactly what I had planted. Shock shock. 2. Except in very exceptional cases, divorce causes 15-20 problems for every One problem that folks think will be solved. If physical abuse, or extreme chemical abuse is present, divorce may, sadly, be the only option. My experience with divorce showed me this statement. Those who think the grass is greener on the other side, need to turn around and work on their own lawn. Okay, I’ll say just one more thing. I found great resources at FamilyLife, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. They can cause tremendous upward change in your marriage. Even if it’s already good. My wife and I volunteered with them for about 6 years beginning in 2002. If your marriage has been hanging by its very last thread for weeks, they can help you

Amazing you keep that reverence of our Father with you. It's kind of mean, but I see God as the reflection giver, and us as just the reflection. Absolutely nothing without the Lord.
The fascinating thing i find about God if that God is life. And in figuring out God, we are essentially trying to figure out life. And for a human, the substance of life and putting it into words and scripture. It is so profound. The bible is so profound. And the way internet has severed the ties of logic and the bible. We've come full circle from the very religious fantics to the very atheist flesh based ideas. Our egos always get in the way, to be blinded by our ego and that we have one, it has mirrored into social media our egos. I had an epiphany, as a woman, i didnt like pictures of myself, i trimmed my eyebrows so thin id blinded myself when i saw a picture of me. It made me realize how social media unwittingly affected me into putting myself into a box. It made me realize all those alt people are just hiding their real selves in makeup and piercings. My ears and eyes have been opened. Thank you God for giving clarity.
Pastor mark- please preach on men and women sleeping apart when married- I’m not happy sleeping away from my husband- he snores bad- but I crave his protection and intimacy.. not sexual necessarily but just being close to him at night bc he works all day and evening. I feel lonely sleeping alone. It’s really affecting my connection with my husband.
Yes, Mark Driscoll you are absolutely correct! People do feel alone and like God has left them! Especially if you’re teaching them Calvinism and that half of them or over half of them have been left by God to burn in hell fraternity! Pick a lane and stay in it!
If you aren’t predestined you will never look for God and you will never know the difference. The only people that feel God has left them are looking for God and they will find him

But then he seamlessly and subtly relates that some people are chosen for salvation, and then never speaks about the reprobate or the people who are not chosen before the foundations of the world. That is not what predestination means! his ship analogy is something that I can agree with but reformed Calvinistic theology crosses a line when they allude to a reprobate majority who are going to burn in hell forever because that’s what God determined to do before the foundations of the Earth. There’s not a scripture in the Bible at all that ever suggest anything close to that. Find one and post it please. he then does what all other leading Calvinist do by saying it’s just a great mystery that you can’t wrap your head around! God has revealed himself perfectly in the person of Jesus Christ and any doctrine that just so happens to be man centered that challenges God’s character and his desire that “all Shall be saved“ is not in the scripture! I don't know if this will help, but I want you to wrap yourself around your Bible, and identify what the Bible says on one hand, and on the other hand, what people say and teach about the Bible. You seems wise, so I want to say more. The idea of the rapture seems to respect persons, doesn't it. When we have proof that God does not respect individual persons. Acts 10:34 Deuteronomy 10:17 Then, at the end of the day, you and I need to be waiting for Jesus Christ's return with oil in our lamps, ready to be at the will of God completely. This is the God that performed some pretty terrifying wonders to be honest. I'm not a judge, but I think the rapture is having people think they can take an imagined version of themselves with them. As what comes from the world is given back to the world, and what comes from God is given back to God. Think of it again like this in how we should be. The wheat does not care to think about how the harvest will happen, it wants to grow and proceed through God's plan. That should be us. I have to remind myself too, I step out of line.

Thinking that they will not be here for the MOB could make them believe they could not see the MOB. If they take the mark thinking it could not be the mark of the beast since they were not supposed to be here to witness the MOB. See the inherent danger in holding a pre-trib view when the MOB is instituted. 31:00 God forgives us our sins before we did them? No he didn't otherwise Jesus died in vain and the standard by which we enter heaven is lowered. God provided Jesus as a solution for us to choose, it's not automatic.
What you did was like a ladder. 3 sentences, proofed from Adam and Eve into the Gospels, and with a morsel of the Letters added at the end. Glory to God.
Can you look over that teaching that God forgives your sins before you do them? That's like saying I'm going to clean the rug, and then spill coffee on it. And you should clean it before it gets really dirty. but you do that by following the commands of Jesus and loving the Lord, your God with all your strength. Then as your sins are revealed to you by the Holy Spirit, you can acknowledge God's mercy, and repent to honor God.

I don't know if this will help, but I want you to wrap yourself around your Bible, and identify what the Bible says on one hand, and on the other hand, what people say and teach about the Bible.
You seems wise, so I want to say more. The idea of the rapture seems to respect persons, doesn't it. When we have proof that God does not respect individual persons.

This is the God that performed some pretty terrifying wonders to be honest. I'm not a judge, but I think the rapture is having people think they can take an imagined version of themselves with them. As what comes from the world is given back to the world, and what comes from God is given back to God.
Think of it again like this in how we should be. The wheat does not care to think about how the harvest will happen, it wants to grow and proceed through God's plan. That should be us. I have to remind myself too, I step out of line.

So you see the importance of me showing people what the scriptures actually say concerning the rapture. A pre-trib view is very dangerous if incorrect. Thinking that they will not be here for the MOB could make them believe they could not see the MOB. If they take the mark thinking it could not be the mark of the beast since they were not supposed to be here to witness the MOB. See the inherent danger in holding a pre-trib view when the MOB is instituted. But the main thing is that pre-trib is just not what scripture teaches us.
2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
How much clearer can Paul be? It clearly states the man of sin is revealed prior to our rapture.

God provided Jesus as a solution for us to choose, it's not automatic.

Can you look over that teaching that God forgives your sins before you do them? That's like saying I'm going to clean the rug, and then spill coffee on it. And you should clean it before it gets really dirty.
but you do that by following the commands of Jesus and loving the Lord, your God with all your strength. Then as your sins are revealed to you by the Holy Spirit, you can acknowledge God's mercy, and repent to honor God.

If you don’t like Pastor Mark, just don’t watch his videos.. I personally have grown deeper in my understanding and walk with Jesus just by listening to his sermons and digging deeper into the word about what he teaches.

@@missybrown9539 yes I did listen to the entirety of the video and the sermon, would, and many of the things that Mark Driscoll says sound so good upfront, but please read the scripture for yourself and ask Christ to give you wisdom and understanding apart from any man, just you and him. Let that give you wisdom not what someone else says, including myself.
