Props to that 12 year old kid who played very well against you, Anna. Great job on the win and the accuracy of your play. And respect to your competitor as well. He should be proud of himself, keeping up with you until the end. He gave you a run for your money, so to speak. Good luck in the rest of the tournament.
Anna please keep doing these game recaps. I am 26 and haven’t played a tournament in over 12 years. I have started watching your videos lately and have decided to give tournaments another chance. I have never had a coach or anything so videos like this really help me with my chess . Thank you
Thank you so much for the in-depth game analysis. I love hearing your thoughts and Pia’s thoughts. As somebody who is learning chess on my own I often don’t know why a move is bad or stockfish is telling me it’s bad or the analyst bar. It’s refreshing to hear your mom explain why something is not the best and what could be better: even at 600 elo. I’m learning a lot of moves I can implement
Love the recaps with Pia! The game analysis with the 2 of you is so informative, such a great learning opportunity for the ‘why this, but not that.” 👍🤜
I think the rooks on the 7th rank is an underrated way to check mate your opponent...love to see Anna using it here. Keep playing your best chess, Anna and thanks again to your Mom for her wonderful commentary.
Wonderful Anna! Your head is in a really good place. You are such “Good Energy!” You and your mom’s coaching while still allowing you space is a beautiful thing. Pulling for you no matter what!
Wow, what an interesting game! Excellent lessons to learn, really excellent! Thanks so much for making a recap, I am distracted by other things at the moment, so it is awesome to get the quick replay!
Hats off to that kid for the stalemate trick, but she didnt fall for it. 😂 great job for not underestimating that kid. She's currently in 8th place, just half a pt behind the leaders.
Anna mom Pia is awesome! There is so much going on she explains the variations perfectly ..wow! I start cheering whenever there is a synchronization with your move an mom Pia covering the game. Cheers 🎉👏👏👏
Man....that was a fun game! Great recap talking through the lines you were considering with awesome commentary as always from Pia, and good luck with the rest of the tournament!!
Das war ein sensationelles Spiel von Anna. Ich fand es ausgezeichnet unabhängig vom Schachprogramm. Der Gegner hat Probleme gemacht, aber es war ausgeglichen bis zu diesem einen Fehler vom Gegner. Weiter so, Anna! ‼️
👏👏👏👏 I don’t play chess but I love watching your excitement about your games, your mother’s commentary, and your improvement over the last couple years. Congratulations on your win!
me having done nothing but being lazy, friendly, doing what i want and laughing my heart out every day for the last 3 years has ppl not taking me seriouse what so ever when around me and me coming across like the biggest idiot ur eyes couldnt believe, ive manifested that energy ^^
I raised 184k and Anna Kathleen Sanford is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Anna K. Sanford is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note!:: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!
Anna, you becoming a pro like your mother. Keep going and just try your best. Also Pia is proud of you and we can see that your are also proud of yourself before her. Best wishes.
WOW...GM Pia is a great commentator. She gives life to these very long games and kept me on the edge of my seat. The positions analysis is great. We need to understand the process of preparations (not the details...unless) 😅
I have a suggestion for videos Anna. One of my favorite chess books of all time is Chessboard Magic by Chernev. You could do a series of videos of you/Pia solving these wonderful compositions. I would love to see it and I'll bet would enhance the pleasure of your audience. And good luck in your tourney. I see you have been doing great. Fingers 🤞
I played a tournament with Chale Zheng once. He got first place and i got second due to bad tiebreaks for me (my opponents opponent didn’t show up to the board) but we didn’t play against eachother in the tournament and that was unlucky since i was performing better than him.
Bon tournoi.
Big match next round - Baldur Peterson who also has 5 points on the tournament. A win there puts Anna in great position to place high in the tournament.
I love how the two of you relate. I can only imagine what it must be like to share an experience like that with your mother. This is what parent/child relationships should look like.
When an opponent resigns before getting check mated does that help them not lose so many rating points at one time? I guess my main question is if someone resigns the game or gets check mated is that the same thing? Like in a tournament what all does that mean?
Also the last player who won all games finally lost and plays now Anna directly. There are 2 players with 5,5 who play each other next round and six players with 5 points with Anna one of them. If she wins next round she may face the leading player for a showdown.
Good luck tomorrow with the black pieces again, against Baldur Teodor Petersson. 🤞 It seems you played them before at the Rilton tournament in January 2017.
I love the smile on your mom's face. You can tell that she is very proud of her daughter.
I like that the game analyses are back. Good luck with your future matches!
any idea why it stopped? did she want to keep that for livestream?
Is it even humanly possible for 2 people to be more adorable together? Pia is the best. Give me a Pia hoodie and I'm on it. 2XL though.
Simp
It's so nice how many fans Pia actually has! She is the chess mom of everyone :D
@@dksissor ok bro, u want some attention, got u
@@joncarreira you also want the 2xl hoodie probably ?
@@dksissorAre you okay? Please don’t waste your life like this ❤️

I watched the match with Pia. She was so excited. As a parent, I can relate. Congratulations!
Wonderful Anna! Your head is in a really good place. You are such “Good Energy!” You and your mom’s coaching while still allowing you space is a beautiful thing. Pulling for you no matter what!
That energy! You can just feel it, radiating through the screen.
This is my favorite video format. Love the recapping with Pia where you can share thoughts.
Good luck on the next round. You've been playing some excellent chess. Your mom's commentating makes the games so very fun and exciting to watch.
A "SQUIRE' is a medieval term for a knights apprentice. The chessboard However consists of 64 "SQUARES".
Wow, what an interesting game! Excellent lessons to learn, really excellent! Thanks so much for making a recap, I am distracted by other things at the moment, so it is awesome to get the quick replay!

be proud of yourself and rightly so....win that tournament...your mum is lovely
Love this channel and Pia's commentating of this as well.

I love how Pia is seeing everything - best chess commentator I've seen.
Well, she is one of the best female players of all times :)
@@Carlabruni_ng why mention her gender ? It makes no difference in chess
Anna you're doing so good. I always knew you could do it. Your parents are so proud I'm sure. Keep having fun and just keep winning.
I learn SO much from Pia's commentary...probably more than any instructional videos!
Pia can't hide her excitement and joy. Kämpa på!

Gratulerar Anna och lycka till I dina fortsätta matcher! ❤ Jag tror på dig.
Let's go Anna!!! 5th place after round 6! Playing against 3rd place in round 7. Good luck!!! You're playing great this tournament!!!
Love Anna’s Mom smiling and glowing with love
Every time Anna looks at Pia, there's just so much love in her eyes - it's truly amazing! :-)
Awesome match and very enjoyable game review! Fun to hear you 2 analyze together
You really are nailing the Svezhnikov. [Spellcheck suggests Kalashnikov], which seems excessive.

Excellent game! Love the commentary.
Cheng is definitely playing at 1900 level. This was a very good win Anna!! Good luck tomorrow!!
I started playing chess in 2023 because of your tourny recap videos
Anna has such a bubbly personality and plays a great chess game. Her parents taught her well.
