How does the o-ring mount work with this pcb if it doesn’t have cutouts for the standoffs? Is it just purely relying on friction fitting into the case or does it not have much of an issue because the pcb is smaller than the stock one?
The PCBs for this board are designed to be top or o-ring mounted so all of them have cutouts. It is still works the same as the stock PCB, the only significant difference is thickness (stock PCB is 1.6mm), mounting-wise there's no issue.
@@fomo8177 Interesting, from what I’ve seen the mechlovin PCB didn’t have cutouts but it looked like the edges of it are closer to the outer switches to make up for that so there is space for the o-ring to fit onto the standoffs. Maybe I’m just confused because there’s very few images of this PCB online
@@slowtyper95 I kinda twist the oring so that is doesn't roll out of the place. Not to mention the oring contacting the spacebar stabilizer wire when put in, for that I just lube to oring with krytox 105 lol.
I recently built a keyboard with mx blacks, but it has more of a dull those sound rather than that clack… I am using a PC plate with case foam. Should I remove the plate and the case foam?
Yeah, change the plate to alumunium or carbon fiber, PC plate makes the sound deeper.. With case foam you have to experiment on your board. For me, case foam makes the board sounds weird..
Thanks! I hope I can, but I don't know exactly what size it is, it came with the board. However, when I compared it to my o-ring for my different TKL, the o-ring for 360c is thicker than 3.53mm, and I think TKL is 266.9mm for the diameter.

Are you using the stock gummy o-ring?
yes
@@fomo8177thanks for the response, can i also ask if you soldered a USB C adapter to your pcb?
Mine have issue with mechlovin pcb being smaller than the ori's one making it hard for the oring to stick
Yeah, I agree.. It is quite tricky to put the o-ring.
@@fomo8177 any tips?

@@fomo8177 about the spacebar stabs, do you think using tx stabs would do?
@@slowtyper95 I am using tx stabs.. But after I lube both the wire and the oring that made contact it'll be fine

@@fomo8177 ok, thanks 👍
@@fomo8177 do you think going plateless would be a good option?
@@Evil_Pixl I personally don't think so.. I don't like plateless config lol.. You should try and figure out if you like it! 😊
Sick video! Any chance you’d be able to tell me what size oring you got?

Have you had any issues with the pcb bottoming out using an oring?
I don't think I had, maybe try different size of o-ring which is thicker or make sure the o-ring is seated properly. Hope it helps
@@fomo8177 Great, thanks for the reply.
Is the USB cable detachable?
Sadly it isn't. But I made custom cable with yc8 connector so that I can detach it from the connector
