Man, this was my first anime convention and first ever smash tournament, I didn’t realize until Saturday when I seen EE and went, “WAIT I REMEMBER THERE WAS A SMASH TOURNEY AT MOMOCON???!!” and then bam I witness seeing pro players and casters alike that I’ve been watching for YEARS, such a surreal moment for me honestly and seeing Light pop off on stage was some crazy energy
Seeing DDEE do well makes me so happy. I think of what it would be like to see my little brother on stage competing, being really good at something and celebrated by others. I hope he has a successful future
This is the 8th major that Dabuz has placed 2nd at, making him by far the person with the most grand finals appearances without ever actually winning a single major. Poor dude deserves a win at this point.
I like how Nairo understands that against Riddles' Kazuya, Ddee was not playing lame because he's playing steve, he's just playing the match up correctly because Kazuya can just do this 3:05. Also remember that Kola got destroyed. And before some of you say Ddee is camping, he literally boxed against Riddle's Terry and Maister, he only aircamped against Kazuya.
@@lagspike7763 my point is people blame ddee for playing like this then generalize that this is how he and every other steve plays, when it is inherently just the kazuya match up. However, I'm not saying kazuya is a problem either, he has clear strengths and weaknesses. In fact, I think it's the people who cry and complain about these types of play styles and not do anything about it that are the problem. it's the match up and you either learn it and win or ignore it and fail as a player. Also "lame" is subjective, not a fact, you may think how ddee is playing lame, I personally think it's lame too but it's also funny

It’s very similar with Dabuz. His play is very lame but he does what he has to do to win and I can’t begrudge that, but you probably never will see me cheering for Dabuz in a set either.
Glad to see somebody as young as DDEE seeing success in competitive smash. That being said, this just proves how braindead Steve is since somebody whose brain isn’t even close to being fully developed can do this well in top level smash.
