Great video, straight to the point quick and easy. I'm a sportbike guy but working on harleys for customers so I rely on videos like this to learn more about harleys, I think this trick would work in the sportbike world as well.
I have to loosen the bolt that holds the brake and hydraulic line to the levers so I can adjust them because the lines are hitting my bars on a bike I just bought that I had to pull back. Thanks for making this video the dealer was going to charge me 200$ to do this adjustment .
I’m running all my lines and cables inside my bars. Working on a Deluxe so it didn’t have a hydro clutch before. If you’re installing a new system, should I compress the puck inside the cover to allow fluid to fill it up or will it do it on its own when I press the syringe? I hope I’m explaining myself right. Thanks in advance.
What size wrench did you use on the bleeder valve? Nothing standard that I have works. It seems like 6mm. I have to buy a wrench for it and was going to get a 6mm because 1/4” is just a hair bigger.
+That is strange. We have never had any problems with this bleeder kit. Can you send us some photos so we can help you figure out what the problem is? William Britt
Not at all. On the side of the transmission there is a cover that has "six speed" stamped in it. This is simply a cover for the clutch slave cylinder. It comes off with 2 bolts and then exposes the slave cylinder, clutch line fitting connection, and the bleeder screw. No need to worry about oil or anything, as it is just a tin cover. Hope that helps.
Yep. Shud be a super simple job. Except the exhaust pipes block that cover from easily coming off. So you have to partially or fully disassemble your exhaust system to reach the bleeder valve. Turning what shud be a 20 min job into multiple hours and a giant PITA. 🤬
Wow that was crazy! I would of been so freaked out and looked like you were about to get blown away. Glad you made it through safe. Take care ✌

Great tip on adding the fluid!

Good vid, doing the change on my bike tomorrow. What mirrors are on that bike. Nice looking
When I'm doing the final bleed on the clutch? Do I hold it in Like I'm bleeding a break or just pump it up and bleed.
I read the text it said hold lever in.thank you
"Like farting in a tub." Best instructional line, ever!"
lmao... it really is
Thanks for sharing and helping out the community. Where can i get tha bleeding kit? or What size is the hose? Thank you in advance.
I used these and they worked great.
Thank you, great idea!
Does this apply as well to bikes with ABS?
Grand merci de France ✌️
Where does one find a syringe and hose that size?
Where do you get a syringe set up like that
I used this method when replacing the bars. Now clutch slips in 4,5th gear at 3k+ rpm. Any suggestions?
Me too. Did you ever figure it out?
Thanks I can't believe I paid 1 hour labor to have this done.
Thanks

+Robert Baker just leave the cap off till your done
is that syringe reusable?
Where do u buy syringe?
Don't cross thread the clutch line connection at the slave cylinder, it's super soft aluminum and $200 part to replace....
Do you need to change the hydrolic cables with 14 in monkeys bars? Seeing in the forums you don’t have to.
Yes. You do. Either change the lines or put on extensions such as those sold by HeliBars or Fat Bagger.
I have 14 bar on my roadglide with same cable if you go over 14 you need to change cable

5/16
Purchased this and none of the hose fit my bleeder value

This may be a dumb A** question but , where is the bleeder valve on the 2016 Street Glide Special transmission case?

just to clarify my old military mind that cover is just decorated. it's just an add-on no oil is inside that thanks in advance for the help
+Charles Collins yes, that is correct, assuming your bike is a 2014 newer bagger. Not a road king, because they have a cable clutch until 2017.
again thanks for the help I like the way you simplify things apreciate it again
Hill Country Custom Cycles now I know how to do my 14 limited, thank you
