just a suggestion, its something i did. i sort into lippie type, (gloss, stain, cream, etc) then organize by color, not brand. its not as aesthetically pleasing but if you think about how we use lip products we decide on a color/formula to go with our makeup look, i.e. i want a rose liquid lipstick today. even if you think i want my kat von dee "lolita". you know what color it is. ive found myself happier with this system and im easily able to identify the ones that i don't use very often. thanks for the awesome video. i loved how you made the point of saying we shouldn't keep something just because its name brand, im so guilty of hoarding my prestige brands

It may be worthwhile to separate these by shade (reds, plums, corals, pinks) and then consolidate that way. I'm sure there's a bunch that have similar shades- I noticed on your hand you like the same color families! Good job on what you did so far! So proud :')
I decluttered my nail polishes after being motivated and separated polishes by brand but when I separated them again by color I got rid of soooo many more! It's crazy how many pink polishes in the nearly exact shade but different companies I had in my collection!! Great great tip - it helped exponentially!!!!

I got so much satisfaction out of watching this video holy shit. I love to declutter/organize soooo much. Getting rid of makeup is so hard but it always feels good to give someone products you know they'll use that just sat there collecting dust.
I definitely need to do this, too! Just waiting until my house isn't a construction zone so I can make my little spare bedroom into my pretty make-up and cat-free room (so the cats don't knock over/get into and break all my pretty things). Right now that room is the storage room for all the misplaced kitchen/living/dining rooms things... At first, I was all "wow look how many lip products Cassie and I have in common!" and then slowly it turned into "oh well wait duh... you got them after watching her reviews..." Like the Revlon Matte Balms! That was the very first video of yours I watched, and I definitely went ham and got a ton of those, too, hahaha!

THIS video is so well timed for me! I just decided to organize my lip stash (I'm a foundation and eyeshadow palatte hoarder myself) and watching you do this made this look totally doable. I do find for some reason lip products hold these sentimental values for me, so I keep them for years. I also like your organization system so I'll be stealing some of that!
I have like 10 lipstick, 2 gloss, some lip liners and a humongous amount of lip balm, BUT I WANT MOOOORE. but every time at i'm about to buy one my wallet wants to run away. So broke for this #expensiveaddiction, I'm not rich for this kind of hobby.
oh I'm not complaining at all. cause I use them all ,and sometimes I miss them with a nude color and I have a new color so I will say with this Technic I have more than 17 :)
!!! there totally is a video / method to put in another lipstick in your limited edition packaging. I reuse a lot of my old packaging by putting them in the freezer and using a latex glove to slip them out and a new lipstick in.
I'm on my husband's account, HA!! Love watching your channel! Anyways... Here's a suggestion. Pull out 30 different lippy products each month and set a goal to wear a DIFFERENT lip product each day. Do this until you've gone through all of these that you've decided to hang on to. At the end of the day if it wasn't good for you... Toss it! It will help you narrow it down even more. Even though they smell good or swatch well, they may drive you crazy once worn all day. Then put what you keep into two piles... One of "top favorite" and one of "worth wearing". Then every time you buy a new product... Get rid of one from your "worth wearing" pile. Your "favorites" pile can get as large as you like. Repeat this every January. 👍🏼💕 -Sharon K.

Good job Cassie! It is kinda hard but SO refreshing getting rid of old/not used stuff. My room was painted this summer and i had to pack/throw out/reorganize every little thing. I get rid of so much stuff i didn't use or need anymore, it felt truly delightful. :)

That looks like a normal amount of lipstick to me LOL but there was a lip gloss that I held onto for 8 years. Not using, it wasn't a good color for me, but keeping it because it smelled like cake batter. I threw it away last year and felt rather sad about it. I see no problem here :D

I feel this on so many levels. I bought the NYX Full Throttle Lipstick in Up the Bass like a a month ago online since then i bought six more and matching lipliners for all of them. I never used to wear lipstick now I am obsessed and wear it every day. I want all of the Full Throttle Lipsticks and matching liners.
Aw, good for you! It's so hard to let go of lipsticks. Somebody will love that Lorac Alter Ego lipstick. I have one in the shade Dutchess. It clings to every crevice if you don't use a lip balm beforehand, but it's great.
I know you are getting rid of lipsticks, but two nude colors you need in your life by Lipstick Queen are Saint Pink Nude and Endless Summer Hang Ten. Also, what shade was the MUFE sample that was a dupe for your old Estée Lauder lipstick?
Which nars audacious lipsticks do you own? I've only seen the RUclips made me buy it where you swatched Jane and Anita! I bought Jane after watching that video and it's my all time favourite... Like I physically get excited when I put it on.
If you want to transfer the bullet, all you probably have to do is cut the bullet off at the base and scoop out the remainder in the base to have a tube prepared for another bullet. Then just cut off the other bullet, scoop out the remainder and put it in the desired tube and melt the bullet onto it. I've never done this before but it seems simple enough!
idk if you found out but you can leave your mac lipsticks or any lipstick opened I the freezer for 5-10 minutes then put it all the way up and pull on the lipstick then it comes out completely and your able to exchange it, I did it with Bianca b bc I hated the color on me and put Mehr in it :)
I know this was filmed a few months back, but if this helps, I would suggest organizing your lip products by color rather than by brand name. I think that's how you forget about a lot of colors. That way when you feel like wearing a certain color, you can just gravitate to that section, and then pick which lip product you wanna wear based on the formula or the finish or anything like that. You might also be more likely to challenge yourself with certain colors as well. =)
I just did a declutter of my makeup and I had so many Estee Lauder lipsticks that were free with purchase growing mold on the sides. Eww. How do you like that lipstick tower? I was debating on getting one, just want to make sure it's worth the money.
I think you did real well! If I were you I'd go over my collection again in a few months following the same process. By then you might feel differently about some and might get rid of some more. Also, the amount of lipsticks you got rid off is more than the amount of lipsticks that I own, and I consider my collection to be quite big. So feel proud of how many you passed on! :)
I just did this same thing last night. 😂 I went from 106 to 86. I gave three to my daughter, but the rest I threw away because they were old/smelled off/separated/dried up or a combo of those reasons.
you're inspiring me to declutter my makeup stash, which is probably a good thing because i'm running out of room in my drawers! sadly i dont have any friends/family who really wear makeup so i can't pass my stuff on to anyone else so i feel bad throwing it out!

We get absolutely no samples in Ireland and all our makeup is double the price, so I am totally amazed with the amounts of lipsticks here

17 is a great number. if I had 15 I'd be happy. my numbers more like 50. I'm not buying anymore until I use up at least 15.

May I suggest you to exercize your lipstick "trans-potting" on the two ones you are giving back to Mac?.. I think it should work better if you freeze them : by making the raisin harder (and probably with the retraction due to freeze too) it might be easier to switch, don't you think? I feel this on so many levels. I bought the NYX Full Throttle Lipstick in Up the Bass like a a month ago online since then i bought six more and matching lipliners for all of them. I never used to wear lipstick now I am obsessed and wear it every day. I want all of the Full Throttle Lipsticks and matching liners.

Aw, good for you! It's so hard to let go of lipsticks. Somebody will love that Lorac Alter Ego lipstick. I have one in the shade Dutchess. It clings to every crevice if you don't use a lip balm beforehand, but it's great.

If you want to transfer the bullet, all you probably have to do is cut the bullet off at the base and scoop out the remainder in the base to have a tube prepared for another bullet. Then just cut off the other bullet, scoop out the remainder and put it in the desired tube and melt the bullet onto it. I've never done this before but it seems simple enough!

idk if you found out but you can leave your mac lipsticks or any lipstick opened I the freezer for 5-10 minutes then put it all the way up and pull on the lipstick then it comes out completely and your able to exchange it, I did it with Bianca b bc I hated the color on me and put Mehr in it :)

I know this was filmed a few months back, but if this helps, I would suggest organizing your lip products by color rather than by brand name. I think that's how you forget about a lot of colors. That way when you feel like wearing a certain color, you can just gravitate to that section, and then pick which lip product you wanna wear based on the formula or the finish or anything like that. You might also be more likely to challenge yourself with certain colors as well. =)

I just did a declutter of my makeup and I had so many Estee Lauder lipsticks that were free with purchase growing mold on the sides. Eww. How do you like that lipstick tower? I was debating on getting one, just want to make sure it's worth the money.
I think you did real well! If I were you I'd go over my collection again in a few months following the same process. By then you might feel differently about some and might get rid of some more. Also, the amount of lipsticks you got rid off is more than the amount of lipsticks that I own, and I consider my collection to be quite big. So feel proud of how many you passed on! :)

I just did this same thing last night. 😂 I went from 106 to 86. I gave three to my daughter, but the rest I threw away because they were old/smelled off/separated/dried up or a combo of those reasons.
you're inspiring me to declutter my makeup stash, which is probably a good thing because i'm running out of room in my drawers! sadly i dont have any friends/family who really wear makeup so i can't pass my stuff on to anyone else so i feel bad throwing it out!
