I watched this twice in succession and was falling asleep both times, it was so soothing and I could feel the massage on my head and neck. Great job! great barber!
At first I wondered what kind of a haircut he was giving the guy, but at the end I noticed the barber made him look very good. The entire treatment was great. I can't wait to visit Turkey. Everything seems wonderful, the food, the barbers etc. I've met a couple of Turkish immigrants in Canada and they impressed me a lot, very kind and gentle people. Nice video
This is a real treat! The only dissapointment was to see that they are now using electric powered hair cutting machines. I am a fan of scissors and the way they used to use them, like a percussion instrument.
What's interesting with turkish barbers is that they seem to pay great attention to every detail. They'll do a perfect job and take the time they need to accomplish it. That's the kind of spirit more people need.
From the little that I have traveled around the world, people are people, and people create environments for themselves to the best of their abilities. Even in some of the worst regions, there are plenty of men, women, and children who live faithful, and peaceful lives. IMHO the environment just boosts/subtracts how likely one is going to go to the extremes.
Super! Makes me wish i was there. I must say though that your music selection certainly makes the video all the more interesting. Could someone make a list of all the songs used? that would be great thanks
uhhhggg, i am at least half as relaxed as the man in the chair! these just chill me right out i can alsmot feel the tingling in my skin. i want to sleep now! wish there were some of these barbers in canada... give me a thumbs up if you agree!
generally Turkish barbers are very skillful and proud of their works , but don't expect to get massaged extensively as in this video at every shop .. I guess it very much depends on the city and the barber himself ..in the European part of Turkey you'll get just few seconds of head and face massage , and that's it
Absolutly enjoyed the video and MUSIC is great! regarding child working there, I'd prefered that compared to mowing lawns in 90 plus degree as i did when i was 10 y/o. sorry thats 90 degrees F. celceus around 30.The US hasn't caught up to the rest of the world when it comes to metric.
Thats what I call "The Customer is King". That is real service. The ppl in America don't know that kind of service, so they say its bad or something stupid like the guys under my post! And thats no children-work. Thats a Boy earning some money incidentially oder helping out in his fathers barbershop. Nothing else. You guys in America, dont you have your children delivering newspapers? Thats exactly the same. Earning some money, spending their free-time, helping the parents. Anyway, nice Shave!
God! I live in Antalya! Where is that barber shop! Generally you pay 10 Liras (=6 USD) for half of that treatment ; which includes haircut, beard cut, ear hair removal, a light sculp massage and some neck and upper back massage. But this guy obviously gives a extraordinarily special treatment. Massage of calves? I've never had that! I believe the custemer have paid around 10-15 USD.
Seriously man - you're right. I think if everyone got this type of treatment in the US, i think people would be a little less stressed out... And lets be honest - every little bit helps.
In New Zealand, health and Safety regulations prevent shaving in barber shops (if you can find one) Don't you just hate the Nanny states that say you can't have someone shave your face with a razor.! As for this guy doing the shave and hair cut, christ he is good
@mav3r1ck69 Slightly wrong there I was, as long as you have several hundred qualifications, passed numerous tests and been certified by the relevant organisation, then you can... no wonder I can't find one, who'd bother.
if this was in manhattan first of all they'd get busted for using child labor. in turkey i realize the kids are probably training but still that would kind of creep me out
Hair cut not really sure, but shaving looks really good!!!!!! and massage, the kid at left was using machine... I don't like it... I hope it be all by the barbier!!!!!
yea i would be less stressed if i didnt have to pay between 12-15 bucks just for a cut and not even a wash :( atleast give me a wash for that price lol business are getting to greedy and lazy

I would love to see the original un-edited version. I like hearing all the noises of the shop and would like to see the whole thing at normal speed.

Anyone have software that can slow down the massage portion and repost this video?
I would actually pay if they did a slow downed version.
