I honestly don't know my top 3 Super Sentai Openings. I kept changing my mind when I was editing this video. Just know that the Ressha Sentai ToQger and Zenryoku King openings are growing on me.
No need to worry about that one, it's a Korean exclusive continuation to Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, which lives in between the state of both being and not being canon. (Someone who's familiar with Kyoryuger correct me, I'm not as familiar with that season aside from the main run and the crossovers.)

Think of it as similar to Akibaranger, they are considered a non-canon(Unofficial) team. Dino Force Brave is considered canon to the Korean side as a sequel to Kyoryuger and the fact that they did do the handoff with Animal Force(Jyuohger) which they got the actual actor for Jyuoh Eagle to do the scene.

So to explain Akibaranger, it's not in the mainline of the show, like it's not in the progression but it is made by the same company that makes Sentai; Toei. Their name is a pun as "Hikonin" means ""Unofficial" and the name "Akibaranger" is a reference to Akibahara, the nerd city of Japan. So they're nerds who love anime, manga & Sentai who find out they are now rangers, so they do their best to be officially recognised. It's why all the fan service & comedy aspects, it's for us adult nerds who love anime & these types of shows! Great season to get into, both season 1 & 2 combined are 24 episodes.
I'd recommend brushing up with crib notes on every previous sentai series before watching Akibaranger. The deep cut references are downright brilliant at times, particularly Season 2, Episode 7.
@@mycupoftea_1 Not really as the special celebrates the franchise, with a team battle royal concept. Though the Purple Armor shown is part of Ryusoulger and at the climax the Green and Black Knights show up to showcase their gimmick.
I don't want to be boring, but the special was to celebrate the end of the Heisei era in Japan and they took the opportunity to show Ryusolger who was the first of the Reiwa era.

I love Sentai. It's a lot of fun to watch and the stories are typically better. Older seasons are darker. I also live in Japan where they film some parts of Sentai.

Kyuranger was overall an enjoyable show. It does have the largest cast in the franchise to date, but I also felt like the writers bit off more than they could chew as only a handful of the characters get any meaningful development or arcs. I'd say it's still worth a watch though. Who knows, you might end up liking it more than I did. Sentai being niche in the majority of the Western world has many factors to it (one of them of course being Power Rangers) but there's also the fact that Toei has a lukewarm at best relationship with the Western market. Even today, there's still only a handful of seasons avaliable to watch through legal means.

The best way, I think, to describe Akibaranger to westerners is to basically consider it an Adult Swim show parodying Super Sentai.
