1tubehead Still on stock 5 speed for now. Lego's. 5 speed flywheel and clutch bolt up to the ez30. ez30 engine mounts bolt into factory engine crossmember. Its just a little closer to the radiator because of the extra cylinders, though some space is saved compared to the eg30/33 due to timing chain design. I have a custom 2" thick radiator with thin fans but its very close to the engine. I am going to swap to push fans on the front side of radiator.
Sorry I dont do harnesses and not sure of someone who does. I wrote my own documentation for my project with all the pins of the stock ez30r harness on the engine, etc. from factory subaru manuals
I'm not using it. I'm using a standalone Link Plus G3 ECU. Though you may be able to get a factory ecu to work tweaking it with Tactrix openport / ecuflash / romraider tuning
buhrietoe x I've been contacting companies for 6 years and nobody including Link have said they can run this engine. Motec is starting to go this way. Can you pass emissions with that setup?
My car has two (2) of those engines connected into a 12 cylinder boxer with the Tribeca Sport Shift Transaxle. I have to use the factory ECU and TCU or I'll have to switch to a manual and then go aftermarket for the engines. I have the front engine TDC on cylinder one and the rear on cylinder six. I want one engine to talk To the ECU and split the return signals to fire those cylinders at the same time. I need an enthusiastic tuner to take this on.
The Link G3 and G4 can run it, but it is offroad only. The factory ecu route can be inspected because it has the emissions logic already and obd2 port interface. Thats a pretty exotic setup for the factory ecu, especially when you take into account the variable valvetrain. I dont believe you will be able to splice signals for that, as it is a check and balance to adjust the cams. Solenoid pulses cams and the cam sensors check and modify pulses as necessary based on their position. That can be different between the two engines.

Air and fuel in and hit it with a spark. In Connecticut I don't have to have the car emission tested, I just have to have the equipment installed. I don't care about VVT or any fuel or emission efficiency. Just make it run and drive.
no, pretty bolt-on, check the channel might car mods, they've done the Gramps build with a 3.6L turbo from an Outback! and JD, no, its a subaru engine which is also h6 like porsches.

Not yet. Busy Moving into a new garage. Plan on all custom. Already have the steel.

Yes I believe they would but are expensive because each one has a cat.
With link plus, do the avls and vvt works?
link plus g3. Yes I have enough inputs/outputs to control avls/avcs and the firmware has support for it.

Yes. Stock 5-speed transmission and stock engine crossmember. Just use ez30 engine mounts.
