Do any of you have these pencils and if so, what do you think? They are definitely much different in feel compared to regular charcoal or graphite.

Alexis can you go with these carbon pencils over the darkers parts of graphite and make it still jet black without graphite shine??? I found some solution for graphite shine but i still need to find black option to use for the darkers parts...And can you point these Lumograph black to fine point for the details like drawing hair and eyebrow etc???

@@predragdjokic3761 I will have to test it out! But the carbon generally doesn’t seem to blend super well. I’m planning on making some carbon and charcoal videos soon. Charcoal blends easier it seems. I recommend using the carbon for the darker areas, no need to add it on top of an already dark layer of graphite because then the shine may prevent the carbon from sticking to the paper. But I’m sure it’ll go over top a little bit of graphite :) it can be sharpened fine but probably the lowest grade pencil will be best for those fine details, not the darker ones

@@AlexisCassandraArt Thank you Alexis video in the future about how carbon mix with graphite would be amazing.Yes but i honestly hate charcoal and how messy it is compared to graphite...I started to use graphite powder for the darkest areas to avoid graphite shine and it helps alot but for the darkest jet black tones i need option so i want to find out more about Lumograph Black before i oreder them.

I have never use these pencils before. But I don't often use graphite of charcoal either. I like how you did compare it to other pencils though because if someone owns though it gives them a bit of an idea if they would like these ones :)

They are pretty cool! I like that the 2B actually looks like a 2B in value and isn’t just a harder pencil, like how they are in most charcoal sets. Thanks for watching:)

The joy of pristine pencil tins! I have never used the black Mars ones. I need to rectify this situation immediately. 😂 The hand looks so awesome. 💜

Thank you! The feel of them is unique, but I was happy enough that they didn’t produce a terrible smearing powder all over my paper😂

Yes I do, with charcoal primarily. I’ve been meaning to use actual white and black colored pencil on a toned paper though, I think that would be awesome. Thanks for watching terry:)
