First time I faced off against this horde, it took me 20 minutes. Shoot a few then run away, then back for more then run away. Did this a lot until I finally got them all. The hordes no longer present a problem for me now as you can tell.
@@borislav247I literally did stealth mode... I hid in the bushes, threw an attractor, they'd build up, threw whatever I could and did that till I killed the whole horde. If they found me, I'd run away and come back later. I really don't know how long it took me. I recently started replaying it after I started watching you. Hordes are so much easier. Who would've thought to ride your motorcycle up a rock? LOL!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to show these tips and tricks.

Now I reset and do it like 10 times in a row just to see how fast I can do it. @@LosReyesSon Oh mate, you and me both. It's hard to break away from Days Gone, but I love this game so much that I'm now working on an entire encyclopedia of content for Days Gone. And I never forget the first time I took on this horde. Took 20 minutes with multiple trips through the tunnel with the bike waiting at the other end. EVERYONE remembers the first time they take on this horde, lol. And as for other games, I may take on Returnal at some point as it's supposed to have amazing graphics & is notoriously hard to play, so this bad boy is on my radar for sure.
I agree with you 100% I was definitely scared to try this again because I accidentally came upon this horde in the very beginning when I had all the crappy weapons but when I got there at the end with max stats and item capacity this was nothing 😂

You're doing it the right way my friend. A lot of people just don't realise how huge the advantages are that you receive from the challenges, and how much easier the main game becomes because of them. Get them all, and you're playthrough will become a far easier affair.
@@McRazzler It's not amazingly quicker, but some of the other perks like the bullet penetration one and the 40% extra melee weapon durability are great ones to have.
I just barley completed the first 2 hordes that go along with the story line and that was a pain in the ass you made this look like butter I’m gonna try it using this method I’ve been using Nero checkpoints solely for stamina for right now

Been playing survival 2 .. killed the horde early by using an USS5 , M60 and my SMP9.Took me 4 full reloads from my motorcycle and Nero Locker. It's easy .. just use smoke to confuse them while chasing you to make those reloads
Honestly mate, one of the biggest advantages you can give yourself before going horde hunting, is to get a gold score in the AMBUSH CAMP RUSH challenge of Days Gone. On the main menu after loading up the game, near the bottom is on option called CHALLENGES. go into this, and you can take on 12 challenges, all with patch perks that are immediately applicable to the main Days Gone game. If you get a gold score on the ACR challenge, you get a +3 bullet penetration advantage. This is the best advantage you can unlock, and makes taking out hordes like this so much easier.
You're absolutely bang on with that mate. I've been taking out hordes for so long, that my style now is really aggressive. The fact that I have zero patience, is also a factor as to why I go for them so quickly. Many thanks for watching the video mate.
This was amazing the first time I completed the sawmill horde I picked them apart slow with strategic placement of my bike to refill ammo and leaving the far three loudspeakers intact picking them off at my leisure from a distace.
Hi boris, love your videos and am actually taking on the hordes now using conventional methods rather than easy kill no reach spots thanks to you. I uploaded a tactical method copied from spawnicus rex which didn't go fully to plan but job done. I liked your running and gunning so gave it a go and uploaded my effort on my channel, over 11 minutes of fighting, very tense but so enjoyable.

Nice! Alternatively you could stealthy approach those logs throw couple of grenades into the sawmill. Then use attractors to get them all round up and light them up or use pipe bombs.
Some nice options you suggest mate. I'm just a savage when I go for the hordes, so attractors are used sparingly. Lots of throwables, but I like to just throw and move. Improves speed and time.

Wow..I really thought it was impossible to clear the horde at the sawmill so I started taking out the freakers in portions..and still can't fully diminish the horde

So I'm a few hours into my first NG+ (Survival 2). Got the BND but none of my weapons even though I've got to several lockers. Literally zero primary weapons, rubbish hand gun, and crossbow. None of my skills, can't use focus. What's going on here??
Not sure to be quite honest mate. I know that when playing on Survival, survival vision is disabled and you lose the mini map. Quite possible that it disables focus as well. But the guns. That's not right. It's an NG+ so you should have all your weapons that you unlocked from you're previous playthrough. I know there's been a Days Gone update recently. Just wondering if that might have screwed things up a bit. Best thing I can advise now mate, is to write a post on the days gone reddit. You will get far more answers from them (Spawnicusrex especially as he is the Days Gone Guru), who will hopefully give you a few more answers.

This is the biggest horde in the entire game mate, so if you can take this horde down, you won't have much problems with the rest. But, if you've not long started this game, you will have a while before you get the chance to take out this horde, as they reside in the Lost Lake region.
@borislav247 I actually ended up driving through a horde the other day. Didn't even see them til i went around d the corner. I was like "Holy sh%#!" ....made it through wheeww!!
You ain't doing anything wrong mate, but, the Sawmill Horde is 500 strong, so any attractor you throw, will get some of the horde's attention, but the rest will sprint on past and still be gunning for you.
Total disaster. Something clearly wrong with my New Game + so I tried to start a new one. But all my saved game data is from my current run for some reason despite manual saves on my first run. So it won’t let me start another new game +. That’s pretty bad. I’ve finished the game and got the platinum but I can’t start a new game + on Survival 2 with all my stuff. Pretty gutted.
Oh mate, I feel the pain here. That sucks. I do know the auto saves are brutal as they save often, and don't take long to wipe out everything else. Did you have a game save transferred to the cloud mate?.
@@borislav247 yeah but it’s the current save point. I’m devastated. My Survival 2 run was actually going pretty well. With all my stuff I would have been ripping it to shreds. Game Over
I can't stress this enough David, this is possibly the worst way to take on this horde, lol. But this is the quickest. There are other videos to check out if you want an anxiety free experience with this horde, as there are easy kill areas (untouchable location spots) to take out this horde.
Not sure if you can skip this one as it's a mission horde. Possibly on easy difficulty the game might allow it, but on the higher difficulty levels, you have to take it out. You probably won't get the 100% on horde killer if you skip this one. But there are lots of easy kill locations for this horde Michael, so just get to an untouchable spot, get the win, and grab 500 freaker ears for a shopping spree at your preferred vendor of choice, lol.
You only see this when you have completed the game & have reset the hordes. Otherwise, you either don't get any notification at all if you take this horde before you get to the mission that demands you take them on, or, you get a notification (different to the one on this video) telling you to head to a particular area of the Sawmill. Hope this helps mate.
@@senorhamm446 You need to have completed the game & taken out all the hordes, ambush camps & Infestation nests. Only then will you be able to see an option (when you pause the game) that will come up as Reset Hordes, and at this point, you can reset all the hordes, ambush camps & Infestation areas.

I don't have a problem with anything you've said here mate. In my last reply, I stated that the run would have to be cleaner, as I'm very aware that the freakers (and marauders on survival 2) do far more damage, so I would have moved earlier on this run, to avoid the many slaps I took at one point in particular. Near the end of the year I will get the chance to try and take out this horde quick on Survival 2, as I'm going to be doing a playthrough on survival 2. Once I've completed the game and reset all the hordes, then I'll put them to the sword, and I'll show you how quick they can be taken out. 96 secs might be a tough ask, but under 2 mins should be very doable.
I fount a glitch were zombie can't get u at saw mill.theres a train a Cubase that's between saw mill get on back side were track is and the glitch out and can't get to u.
Basically, the freakers at the very back of the house fire out of it a different way in order to flank you. This is why you always get a portion of the freakers heading from the other side of the train.
This run was done on Normal difficulty. I'm looking to beat this time at some point when I get a bit of time, and the next time I take this horde on, it will be on Survivor II difficulty.
If you take on this horde before the mission near the end of the game, you won't get anything coming on screen to show you have taken them out. Later in the game when you finally get the mission, once you arrive at the Sawmill, the game will go to the cut scene you are expected to see after defeating them. I get conformation here purely because I have completed the game, and then reset all the hordes. If you do this, you will get conformation of every horde you take out, including this one. Hope this helps mate.
Although this is absolutely legendary, its just way too much work and completely impractical inna real life zombie situation. I cleared it as i would in real life. Lured the fv*kers in and stood on a ledge they kept trying to climb but failed and i blew them to smithereens 😂😂😂😂 Simple and effective.
Oh I couldn't agree more mate. This is overkill with way to much danger attached to it. My go to method is always running & gunning with a few grenades & napalms thrown into the mix. My runs usually end at the back of the sawmill.

I find this very hard to believe, as resources do not stop working when the difficulty level is higher, but I WILL be checking this out today to make sure, just incase the attractors glitch at this difficulty level.
@@borislav247 if zombies sees you they will not get distracted by the attractors, i saw it when I was clearing the first horde, also after 4-5 attractors they knew my position, this also happened at the sawmill horde once they were at my back attractors are useless once they are at your back, i cleared it after 6-7 times with sneaking then running after around 30 -40% of them were left, i was playing at survival 2 my first play through

I rode my bike around and jump off would gun down a heap of them down and just kept doing that until the horde was done

So I'm a few hours into my first NG+ (Survival 2). Got the BND but none of my weapons even though I've got to several lockers. Literally zero primary weapons, rubbish hand gun, and crossbow. None of my skills, can't use focus. What's going on here??
Not sure to be quite honest mate. I know that when playing on Survival, survival vision is disabled and you lose the mini map. Quite possible that it disables focus as well. But the guns. That's not right. It's an NG+ so you should have all your weapons that you unlocked from you're previous playthrough. I know there's been a Days Gone update recently. Just wondering if that might have screwed things up a bit. Best thing I can advise now mate, is to write a post on the days gone reddit. You will get far more answers from them (Spawnicusrex especially as he is the Days Gone Guru), who will hopefully give you a few more answers.

@@allanmoncrieff5579 not sure mate. I gave up. The ng+ run was screwed as I couldn’t even add skills and I didn’t have a save file from my first run to start a new one. Pretty gutted.

When in the game do you get this challenged ? I'm not long into the game and really want to try it .
This is the biggest horde in the entire game mate, so if you can take this horde down, you won't have much problems with the rest. But, if you've not long started this game, you will have a while before you get the chance to take out this horde, as they reside in the Lost Lake region.

The moment i make myself known the attractors dont work 😭 what am i doing wrong 💀
You ain't doing anything wrong mate, but, the Sawmill Horde is 500 strong, so any attractor you throw, will get some of the horde's attention, but the rest will sprint on past and still be gunning for you.
Total disaster. Something clearly wrong with my New Game + so I tried to start a new one. But all my saved game data is from my current run for some reason despite manual saves on my first run. So it won’t let me start another new game +. That’s pretty bad. I’ve finished the game and got the platinum but I can’t start a new game + on Survival 2 with all my stuff. Pretty gutted.
Oh mate, I feel the pain here. That sucks. I do know the auto saves are brutal as they save often, and don't take long to wipe out everything else. Did you have a game save transferred to the cloud mate?.

I wanted to get this game until I saw this, this would give me the worst anxiety ever
I can't stress this enough David, this is possibly the worst way to take on this horde, lol. But this is the quickest. There are other videos to check out if you want an anxiety free experience with this horde, as there are easy kill areas (untouchable location spots) to take out this horde.
Why capacity on me for molotov, bom etc just 3? I try so hard to doing this mission
You need to unlock the skill called "Carry That Weight". once you unlock this, you can carry 6 items of all the throwables.

Not sure if you can skip this one as it's a mission horde. Possibly on easy difficulty the game might allow it, but on the higher difficulty levels, you have to take it out. You probably won't get the 100% on horde killer if you skip this one. But there are lots of easy kill locations for this horde Michael, so just get to an untouchable spot, get the win, and grab 500 freaker ears for a shopping spree at your preferred vendor of choice, lol.

Why'd you constantly let the close to you like that
The closer they are, the more damage you get with guns, and of course when they group, they are tightly packed so throwables generate more kills.

You only see this when you have completed the game & have reset the hordes. Otherwise, you either don't get any notification at all if you take this horde before you get to the mission that demands you take them on, or, you get a notification (different to the one on this video) telling you to head to a particular area of the Sawmill. Hope this helps mate.

@@senorhamm446 You need to have completed the game & taken out all the hordes, ambush camps & Infestation nests. Only then will you be able to see an option (when you pause the game) that will come up as Reset Hordes, and at this point, you can reset all the hordes, ambush camps & Infestation areas.
En el modo normal la barra de vida de la horda avanza mas y se amontonan facil al distractor en dificil demora un poco la barra de la horda y se amontonan pero al toque reaccionan y en supervivencia 2 su barra de vida se demora en avanzar y se aglomeran menos tiempo cuando lanzas distractor te aseguro que en modo supervivencia2 es dificil hacer ese corto tiempo y eso que los golpes que te dieron es mas que suficiente para que mueras
I don't have a problem with anything you've said here mate. In my last reply, I stated that the run would have to be cleaner, as I'm very aware that the freakers (and marauders on survival 2) do far more damage, so I would have moved earlier on this run, to avoid the many slaps I took at one point in particular. Near the end of the year I will get the chance to try and take out this horde quick on Survival 2, as I'm going to be doing a playthrough on survival 2. Once I've completed the game and reset all the hordes, then I'll put them to the sword, and I'll show you how quick they can be taken out. 96 secs might be a tough ask, but under 2 mins should be very doable.

Basically, the freakers at the very back of the house fire out of it a different way in order to flank you. This is why you always get a portion of the freakers heading from the other side of the train.

Which difficulty
This run was done on Normal difficulty. I'm looking to beat this time at some point when I get a bit of time, and the next time I take this horde on, it will be on Survivor II difficulty.

I beat this horde and didn’t get the reward
If you take on this horde before the mission near the end of the game, you won't get anything coming on screen to show you have taken them out. Later in the game when you finally get the mission, once you arrive at the Sawmill, the game will go to the cut scene you are expected to see after defeating them. I get conformation here purely because I have completed the game, and then reset all the hordes. If you do this, you will get conformation of every horde you take out, including this one. Hope this helps mate.

I cleared it as i would in real life. Lured the fv*kers in and stood on a ledge they kept trying to climb but failed and i blew them to smithereens 😂😂😂😂

Oh I couldn't agree more mate. This is overkill with way to much danger attached to it. My go to method is always running & gunning with a few grenades & napalms thrown into the mix. My runs usually end at the back of the sawmill.
I killed all in 82 sec bro simulator kind of attack but used more nades 🎉

I find this very hard to believe, as resources do not stop working when the difficulty level is higher, but I WILL be checking this out today to make sure, just incase the attractors glitch at this difficulty level.
@@borislav247 if zombies sees you they will not get distracted by the attractors, i saw it when I was clearing the first horde, also after 4-5 attractors they knew my position, this also happened at the sawmill horde once they were at my back attractors are useless once they are at your back, i cleared it after 6-7 times with sneaking then running after around 30 -40% of them were left, i was playing at survival 2 my first play through
