Wish more ppl would actually watch these games. They always try to sell this myth that the NBA was so tough back then. They are calling mostly the same kind of fouls, and most those guy look pretty flimsy. It’s the same game. They try to use small subsets to generalize to the whole era when the same subsets exists today. There are tougher more physical teams and there are more finesse teams; running teams and half court teams. It’s all that different. Man! Gervin or Dr j would be great players today.
The thing that really caught my eye was just how fast the game was. With/without the ball both teams had guys with some wheels! I agree Iceman and Dr J both could play in todays game for sure. Thanks for watching!
I get what your saying and respect it, but as someone who's watched old school ball since I was a child (80's-90's) and new school ball up till today, the game by and large is just different from how it was. David Stern literally changed certain rules to decrease physicality and increase offensive out put. Adam Silver has only added to these changes that have all but alleviated the ability to dominate defensively. It's a different game, though still some valuable similarities.
That could have been MVP that year if it wasn't for Moses Malone or maybe Kareem I forgot who won the MVP that year too bad doctor and win a championship that year could have been finals MVP
Great add vintage gervin and doc
🍻 🍻 🍻
Full screen would have been nice.
