Thank you for another excellent, descriptive video. Finding your channel has been one of my great joys - love your content and insights, so appreciative.
Just found you and OMG! You are amazing. I have never found a youtuber that actually deciphers the ingredients and educates me on their uses. I am only just getting into makeup and skincare, and being a student I cannot afford to test out products myself. You are helping me so much in choosing which quality products I should invest in, thank you makeup box and p.s. your eye makeup is always drop dead gorgeous
Thank you sooo much, Pearl!! Very glad you found it informative. I always loved knowing how a product works (if it does) and I really believe most products work well for SOMEONE, so it's a case of match-making the right people to the right things, rather than saying something is Good or Bad, which can be quite biased. Look forward to seeing you around and thanks for leaving a comment!
I went upstairs to check my Chanel#5 and it's the Eau de parfum version. My husband brought it for me and at first I didn't like it but now I do. Gourmands are my favorite type of perfumes lately. I just brought Sweetie Aoud by Roja , love it!! You may like Amouage Dia parfum it's a beautiful aldehyde fragrance, great for summer! I've been pigging out on perfumes since the pandemic. Can you do a video on how you store your perfume collection?
Yeah, Chanel No5 takes a while to love cos I think it smells a little “dated” for most of us these days LOL!! It took me awhile to appreciate the EDT as well cos of how strong and topnotes are in that one. Ooh the Roja sounds lovely. I always feel like picking up a bottle but they are so expensive that I’m afraid of picking stuff up unsniffed! Ooh storage... let me get organised and I’ll try to film something. It’s not in the best state now 🤣🤣🤣
Ooh, let me know if you do! It's a beautiful formulation! Probably my fave of all the recent NARS palettes I tried. I kinda wish they'd make this new formulation a permanent one and update all the other palettes in their line!
HAHAHAHA you betcha I did!! It's a voluptuous knock-your-boots-off floral that makes me think of 50s ladies. Maybe cos it's a little like another tuberose scent from the late-40s called Fracas!
Glad you had fun hearing about it!! I’m a big nerd cos it is a scent that influenced modern perfumery in such a big way! Before No5 most fragrances were single-flower scents made by local chemists. Coco Chanel had a very different vision for her flagship fragrance, and it’s still a top seller worldwide after about 100 yrs.
thank you 💜

I never knew that about Chanel No. 5! You always know how to describe fragrance, an incredible talent!
Thank you sweetie!! Hahaha it’s an excuse to own more than one formula of fave scents. 🤭🤭🤭
You said it - I could listen to her describe perfumes all day! I feel like I understand so much better what a fragrance would be.
lol... Did you say big busts? ;-) okay now I have to smell it! I do love white ambrosia tea... I might like this.
