Damn! The nightmare AI in this game is brutal. Despite your amazing racing, you were fighting for that 1st place position for about 75% of the race! Love it!
Best looking ship I've seen so far. I used to be neutral on Redout as far as its place in the anti-grav genre, but it is the present and future as far as I'm concerned.
@@haggisman0812 I've had Redout for awhile but have never played it. Jumping straight to the sequel. Maybe I'm old, but I can't use analog sticks for this game as I'm a d-pad guy. I've managed to map everything to my gamepad using Joy2Key and it works flawlessly.
Thats very impressive, I can get wins in most ships but never seem to be able to get the same pace with the Behemoth :| Absolutely beautiful piloting as always
Aww dude! I got 11:52:450! On this track! Must go faster! 🤣 Im loving this game! Wish they had some of the design philosophies from the first one. Been watching your content for years, i got "grip" cause of you, i found redout cause of your stuff. I LOVE GOOD racing games like this.
@@BibtheChib It's better in every way imo. I'm a fan of AG racing and I didn't put too many hours on the first game. I liked the sense of speed but the game was lacking in the design department of ship designs, track layout and locations. This one has all of those improved.
this one feels more "pro" in every way, especially how driving technique makes a big difference, and I love that the issues with the game as I see it are all related to complimentary aspects such as progression system, not the core gameplay
Goddamn it, I loved readout but never got any good because I can't help but marvel at it, the speed, the scenery and the style. Now the bastards have made it even more amazing. How am I supposed to gitgud now? 😂
because it is basically vulcano ^^ there are several tracks based on old tracks but it makes sense at all. ixion is a hell of conrners, like the wood level in redout 1. im sure something like the splinter or fking alasca will return in the dlc's
I never use rewind features in racing games. Redout 2 has made me use the rewind feature several times, lol. Tartarus is absolutely the most I've ever had to use that feature.
@@puilp0502 ohh for sure my main issue is muscle memory and slow reaction speeds which I kinda need to play any sort of decent racing game but still I don’t have to be the best as I can be happy knowing I didn’t give up.
Between the Tartarus Mines and the Origin Black Hole, i don't know which track is scarier cuz on one hand you're racing over hot, molten lava, but on the other hand, you're racing near a black hole.
It doesn't feel like rubber banding tbh. Just like they get flat advantages (like X more max speed or hull than you) and once you learn the tracks enough and how to build a ship properly, it becomes quite easy.
Great piloting. So sad this track is not the same on Xbox and you can’t complete the career or achievements because they shipped an older incomplete build 😔

A comment for the algorithm
yes a comment

I love this video because unlike every other nightmare AI video out there, this is a race and not a time trial

Agreed, it's the only true successor to the Wipeout franchise in my eyes. BallisticNG is cool but mostly just a recreation of the older games.
My fav AG series, the dual stick controls are just genius IMO.

Did not know about that jump detach split near the end of Tantalus Forward, it helped me get a Platinum in Invitational. Thanks and nice racing here!
This beat is fire!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 So is your driving skills! You are a god

behemoth my beloved
I'm still playing redout1, but this makes me think I should give 2 a try! Looks awesome
You should

Don't.
Just play the game and vibe for fun!
Is there anyone else who remembers the Volcano from the 1st game when playing in the Tartarus mines (Torturous mines for me)

Wow
I absolutely loathe Tartarus, so many ridiculous moments that you have to just memorise bro

That one sharp corner with the rails removed always fucking gets me because there are no significant landmarks preceding it that catch my attention.
wow, only if i was so good at racing games...
Same fr I love watching racing games but i can’t even complete the the full tour on trackmania

Never too late to start learning
@@TheNopeFather imo redout 2 is more approachable than trackmania

Hey, is drifting faster than slowing down to make turns?
Brakes delete speed, so if you can pull them off right, yea.
What even is a Behemoth? How and when do I use it?
You unlock it in Class A I believe, but it's basically a pure bred tank lol. Koen went for pure stability instead of pure armor this time around.
Isn't it weird that you need to have this faith that the rubber banding stops owning you at some point because they coded it in there?

I hate the jumps so much on these tracks I overheat in real life.
