How did your sneak it up there on that Dino?
السلام عليكم
اكوا خلل باكرنك بالبرن بكن ابو الشرح هل يصير
بالسلندر ام بالكب
One of the most important things you skipped over was how to seat the rear main seal so that it does not leak.
They dont want all their tricks out the window. Why dont you put down how 2.
@@numlockkilla Are you kidding? You can buy that seal and they include instructions. There was so little info in this video it was abysmal, It was not meant for gearheads, that's for sure.
The only things I need for my build is: 4 bolt main caps and sealed power zero gap compression rings. Roller camshaft bearings and rockershaft system securing the rocker arms..
BullyBilly
How ironic Rodney is assembling the bottom end. Hopefully he is not a uncle Rodney. Lol 😆
6:42 is he running that wheel outwards? should go inwards so it doesn't put a burr on the outer edge of the ring where it slides against the cylinder bore
You'd completely debur the ring regardless.
That's why you always debur the ring ends.
I was son bummed out in how the exhaust system was handled. I assume it was due to emissions.
They really think that crank coating added 30hp? That's pretty impressive if true
That's called advertisement. Don't blame Butler for that. That shit was on PN.
Why did they omit mega braces in the lifter valley?
Not needed with such a small camshaft. Most don't need it until you start using big aggressive camshafts.
are you sure the top ring has .018 gap and the second has .020? shouldnt it be the other way around.
No. Second gap is usually bigger.
GOOD JOB ALWAYS GIVE THE BREAD TO HIS BAKER
You can make the cid and hp with stock parts if you know how to machine parts and leave China out of the equation it will last too. Lol eagle do you have stock in China?
You guys got another car for sale?
It's like every 15 seconds is a mini infomercial...
How’s does it seal between the water neck and water pump?
There is a channel that mates up between the timing cover and intake manifold, and a special flat o-ring type of seal is installed to seal it. You have to be familiar with Pontiac engines to get it just right, and they still have a reputation of seeping a lot. If you ever get it right, it will be fine.
I always tighten the intake bolts just enough to hold it down, then torque the bolt on the water pump, then torque the intake bolts. A little silicone on the o-ring is a good thing to do also.
Cv-1 heads the best
Never use Eagle Products. The forgings are all Chinesium. Get SACT stuff, all USA materials and machining.
So, now we all know what Uncle Rodney looks like.
Two.much power
The Hooper Super Duty Trans Am. Or......... The Super Hooper Duty?? Lol
How much would a person have in to a motor like that
A lot. Somewhere around $12K.
I live in south africa you do see older american muscle prowling the streets but these days they tend too hide. Only american muscle you see prancing our streets are mustangs. My dream car is any of the yenko camaros chevelles. Even have a crush on mopars
76 Grand Prix 10:48
I had some good running Pontiac motors but they just didn't hold up
Rodney built the 461 I have in my Bonneville.
Waiting to see a caddy on here...lol
Caddy 500 would be awesome.
👍👍👍👍👍
I Thought that engine block was edible !
Whats with that grade 5 hardware on the intake and valve covers guys.... dress it up
Why use a 455 with those huge journals? Which was the achilles heal of the GM 455's.Should have started with a 400 same block smaller mains.
Stick to your Chevelles and Mustangs..........
@@V8Deuce 🤣😂😅🤣 Your an idiot I own a 70 firebird formula with a stroked 400 now a 488 with a rock crusher 4spd. Had It built by Bruce Fulper Mr. Pontiac himself.
2 words "journal overlap". Overlap between the rods & mains is huge thus giving the crank more strength. The only reason everyone quotes what you said is because because the good 455 cost more & is harder to come by so they settled with the 400 and use that same tired excuse, " but the journals 🥴" lol.
