The Believers Deathday Better Than His Birthday - Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon Sermon
Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.
Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

I remember being with my mother in the wee hours of the morning that she passed away. Jan. 3/11 For several days she had been kept in an induced coma. But with myself and others, family and friends around her bed she woke out of it, began to point up into the air and was so excited. Her face was lit up like a bright light and she was incoherent but ranting and pointing up with a huge smile. After a few minutes she lied back down and went back to sleep. I knew that she was seeing Heaven above, possibly angels, perhaps even our Lord. She passed hours later at 2:00 am. I was alone with her then and read to her John 14:1-3 as I held her hand. When I looked at her face she had a tear running down her face. She then passed away peacefully. The nurse did not understand why I rejoiced and thanked Jesus when she pronounced her dead. But I knew that my dear mother was now in glory, healed from her pancreatic cancer, no pain anymore and rejoicing with her loved ones who had gone on before her.
I've missed my mother very much since that day, but I do have that blessed hope of seeing her again and rejoicing as she has been all these years. God bless and praise the Lord for the peace, contentment and reassurance of dwelling with Him at the end of it all. Agape - Maranatha!

These preachers had such a love for the gospel and people. They prayed fervently that their words would reach many and their prayers were answered 🥰❤
Imagine that he’d known as surely as Jesus must’ve that his words would ripple out in time to end up here, heard anew by the likes of us. Imagine such a blessing as that to have our most fervent utterances live on in such a way.
Where are preachers today that have his anointing? Few and far between. Very little courage amongst our own preachers and rare is it that they call for their congregations to repent and pray for revival.
@@psalm1197 or call for a time of fasting...... I am 48 yrs old and in all my life none of the churches I attended growing up fasted (Catholics call abstaining from meat on Fridays fasting) and so in my forties, the Holy Spirit started calling me to fast and pray. Really a struggle when the Church has so diminished and there is a lack of those with true faith
@@psalm1197 want to share how timely this message was to me and my time of need. My youngest daughter turned 20 yesterday. It's a bad situation because even though she was raised in church and to study the Word, she's gotten heavily into drugs which has led to very bad things happening to her. This is very heavy on my heart as she is hard to keep track of. The Lord had this on my video feed yesterday, just in time🥰❤ the very Word of God I needed to revive me to the altar of prayer 🥰 He never fails to amaze me
@@katdimauro9369 I shall pray for you and for her. I have found that over my 56 years, the Lord’s timing has always been best. It takes Holy Spirit empowered humility and submission to keep always before you the Sovereignty and Lordship of God. “Watching and waiting, and looking above….” Words from the Trust and Obey song from our childhood.
