    Wow, so simple and so versatile. You could put anything on it. I absolutely have to try this!
    You could also freeze tortillas and toast them when needed, right?

      Literally as versatile as toast! You could definitely freeze and make fresh, or you can make them ahead -- when stored in an airtight container at ambient temp, they'll last up to 7 days when cooked with oil, and even weeks if toasted on the comal or baked without oil. If they get a bit stale, you can heat them back up for some additional crisp.
