Good explanation Arun .about Listener and Tns file , this is very helpful .
Glad you liked it
Thanks Arun!
Thank you!
Really this is Awesome sos 😍😍..
thanks for the knowledge sharing we will apply next time this in real-time upgrades.
The problem with this is when in future if old oracle home is uninstalled, the listener and tnsnames files will be gone. It would make more sense to user a 3rd location for this outside oracle homes if we plan to use a common listener and tns file

@arun,
Hello sir, please suggest me
Is HP z400 workstation (Intel Xeon w3565 processor and 16gb ddr3 RAM) good for practicing environment (dataguard, RAC, Golden gate)??? As I am looking for a budget desktop for practicing dataguard and RAC at home.
More than enough, infact any processor above i7 is good! Try to go with more RAM, like 32 GB and it will be cakewalk for you to practice even OEM!
@@dbagenesis thanks a lot 😊. You are a savior 👍👍
@@dbagenesis if I go with i7 which generation should I take, please tell me
