Introduction to Oracle Listener
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 14 авг 2024
- The #Oracle #listener is a service that runs on the #database host and receives requests from Oracle clients. Sometimes the listener forwards requests to the database #server, and sometimes it redirects the client somewhere else where the database server listens for dedicated connections. In either case, it is the first point of contact for the client.
The Oracle listener is the front door to your database. Lock the door by configuring it to require a password. Before 10 g it was unlocked by default, so be sure to check your older database servers.

This is a great video even a layman can understand easily. Great. If it's possible to post such a video for scan, vip and listeners in a RAC, should be even more helpful.
