Thank you for this video. What I don’t understand is why companies don’t adjust their design to run true to size. Why don’t they make a 7, a 7? Why do they “run small”?
Update: purchased a 10 and I'm usually a 9 in Flax Birdseye and they were HUGE. I guess really the best option for your first pair is to buy a couple sizes and return. They do make returns super easy! Thank you for this video! I am usually a size 9 as well so this was very helpful!!
Thanks for this review… Im a 9.5 normally and got a 10. Initially I thought they were too big even tho they didn’t slide off my heel. Your video made some great points and I’m going to keep them. Thanks!
Thanks for the video. A coworker recommended rothys and this video really helps in determing the size I need. I was also trying to decide between the pointed toe and the round one so this video was very helpful in that regard as well.
I’m confused. I usually wear a 5.5 or 6 in shoes. I do prefer my shoes snug. 6 in the pointed toe was way too small. 6.5 was also too small. I now have a size 7 and they too might be too small. I have never ever worn a size 7 or 7.5 in shoes. I’m confused.
Thanks so much. This is really helpful. I wear a lot of pointed flats. You could say they're my "thing." Haha! Also, I think I'll definitely be going at least a half size up. I'm normally a 7.5, but in other brands I wear a 7. So, I think I'll be getting an 8, especially because they're for work/more formal settings. I'm excited to buy my first pair, and I'm using your code! Thanks for everything.
Thank you! These look like they might be machine washable, are they? I love the flax colored ones but it doesn't look like they are available. These are really neat looking shoes! The leopard is my next choice!
Hi Caitlyn, I tried refreshing the link, so you can try this one: www.talkable.com/x/demYZ2 Unfortunately Rothy's limits the number of people who can use the code each month, so it ends up not working for some people :( Thanks for watching!
Hi Mia! I tried refreshing the link, so you can try this one: www.talkable.com/x/demYZ2 Unfortunately Rothy's limits the number of people who can use the code each month, so it ends up not working for some people which is a bummer :(
Hi there! It's not actually a coupon code - it's just a customized link to get to the Rothy's site. You can use this link: www.talkable.com/x/bIDIFh and it should automatically take off the $20 if everything is working correctly (let me know if not!) Thanks for watching :)
Hmm...I tried refreshing the link in the description box, so you may want to try that one. I think it must also be your first order and over $30 to qualify. Other than that, I'm not too sure unfortunately :(
Thanks for watching :) I am going to reach out to Rothy's about the referral link issue...it seems like a lot of people are not getting it to work :/ thanks for flagging!
Hi Christine! I do still have a referral link. You can try this one: www.talkable.com/x/demYZ2 Unfortunately Rothy's limits the number of people who can use the code each month, so it ends up not working for some people :( Thanks for watching!
Hi there - thanks for watching :) Hmm...I'm not sure what could be going on. I just tried refreshing the link, so maybe you can try this one: www.talkable.com/x/RoWqzZ Other than that, I'm not too sure unfortunately! (I wish they just stuck with the coupon code).
I orderer squares in my regular size (7.5) and they were a bit tight. Returned and ordered 8. But they were too big. :( I am going try the point one and hopefully they fit.
I would recommend at least half a size! For rounded toe I have been sizing up half a size and the pointed toe I size up either a full size or half a size (for some reason the different colors fit differently and the black flats are bigger than the other colors I’ve tried).
For a fresh code try www.talkable.com/x/wGDeVx - new metallic colors just launched! $20 off first pair! Which do I get? Midnight Metallic Herringbone flat or Twilight Metallic Cap Toe point? You're right, both! Based on this video it looks like I need to size up. I love my loafers (in my regular size) so much and don't want to risk squeezing my toes and exacerbating some bunions that seem to be forming from wearing shoes w/ a tight toe box.
I just bought round toe The bigger size is a little loose but I like the toe wiggle room but the sides are looser and heel is a little looser. The smaller size it tighter on heel and side which I like but the toes are squished. Will the small size stretch out to fit my toes or should I go with the bigger size?
gretta wittman I haven’t found that they stretch very much, so I would recommend going with the size that fits most comfortably now. Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for all the info. I ordered a 9 because I’m usually an 8.5 but it was too big and I felt like my foot was coming out so I ordered an 8.5 but that felt too tight. Do they stretch at all?
Hmm 🤔 that’s too bad you couldn’t find one with a perfect fit! To be honest, I haven’t found they stretch out a lot, but you may just get used to the snugger fit over time. I also found some of the different colors and styles fit slightly differently, so it’s possible trying out a different pair would help
I had a weird case where I bought a pair and the back heel hurt portion was basically clawing at my back and it hurt so bad I couldn’t wear the shoes, my back heel got super red and started to blister from the back shoe part (like that blue line) rubbing so badly....I’m usually a 6, and I got a 6 to start but it felt tight/constricting so I exchanged the shoe for a a 6 1/2, but that caused the heel pain....should I try a 7? Or another 6 1/2? Their customer service wasn’t much help :/
Hey Sureya - sorry to hear you are having issues with the back! I've found that different colors fit slightly differently - some tend to be firmer "fabric" than others (in my opinion). If you aren't married to a particular color, you could potentially try a different color in a 6.5. OR you could try going up to a 7 since you've already tried a 6 and 6.5. I've actually run into the same issue as you with the loafers (with the back rubbing into my heel), so if you are trying the loafer you may want to try a different style. For some reason it seems like the back of the loafer is a different shape than the other styles and tends to dig in a bit more. I've been wearing no show socks with them which seems to help a bit with that issue. I would recommend letting your heal heel first (to give a fresh slate to the new pair) and potentially trying a different size or style/color. I hope you find a pair that works for you!
You could also try a heel product like this: www.amazon.com/Hotop-Cushion-Self-Adhesive-Protector-Multicolor/dp/B0749G3LND/ref=sr_1_4_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1530421125&sr=8-4&keywords=heel%2Bcushion&th=1. Obviously that's not ideal though since you want your new shoes to fit well without any help!
Thank you for this video. What I don’t understand is why companies don’t adjust their design to run true to size. Why don’t they make a 7, a 7? Why do they “run small”?
Great advice. Half sized up for the round toe and a full size for the point and it was perfect. Thanks!!
Awesome! So glad it helped :)
Liz Harris yes ma’am!
I have to go up a whole size in the black flats , but other colors i am half size up
Liz Harris do u have the loafers?....what size did u get?
Update: purchased a 10 and I'm usually a 9 in Flax Birdseye and they were HUGE. I guess really the best option for your first pair is to buy a couple sizes and return. They do make returns super easy!

2024 here. I am an 8 in most shoes and occasionally a 7.5. I. Rothy’s I am 7.5 in rounded and 8 in the point. My heels flop out of the 8 rounded.
Great information. Best to get a bigger size as crunching the toes/foot over the long haul damages the feet just like a heel will.
Agreed!

Glad you found it helpful!
I usually wear 9 or 9.5. 9.5 is ok but maybe too snug and hurts toes. Probably returning for 10. Wow the support though🎉
Thanks for the sizing info!
Good informative sizing details

This was so helpful!! Ty!
Just ordered my 4th pair and sh0ould be using coupons. Thanks for the Video. I wear the loafers
Thank you! These look like they might be machine washable, are they? I love the flax colored ones but it doesn't look like they are available. These are really neat looking shoes! The leopard is my next choice!
Thanks! I definitely want to try the leopard as well!
Thanks for the info!!!
Never heard of these shoes but now want to give it a try! Thanks!
They are definitely worth checking out! If they were less expensive I would get one in every color :)
Hi! Do you have a new referral link by chance? I tried to use the one listed but it has expired. Thanks so much!
Hi! I just updated it :) Thanks for watching!
Is your referral code still valid? Wanted to order my first pair.
Thanks for the videos
Hi Caitlyn, I tried refreshing the link, so you can try this one: www.talkable.com/x/demYZ2
Unfortunately Rothy's limits the number of people who can use the code each month, so it ends up not working for some people :( Thanks for watching!
Yeah I wanted a code and it didn't work
Hi Sarah, nice seeing you again! Picky about my footwear, love Sam Elderman~
I've never tried Sam Edelman flats, but I've heard they are great as well! I'd like to try try those out in the future.
How do I get your Rothy's link to work?
They limit the number of people who can use it, so they may have turned it off 😞
Referral link did not work for me either. I'd love to use it. Thank you kindly!

Does Rothy's come in regular and wide? I purchased the grey birdseye but they make my feet look flat and splayed out.
I believe they just come in one width unfortunately :/
I wear this flat it rubbed my feet today . Even I order size up why other people are ok ?
I just got a pointed pair but I feel like the back of the shoe scrapes against my heel. Do you have that problem?
I haven't found that to be too much of a problem for me after they are slightly broken in
Thx
How do I enter the code for the $20 discount?

Miss Sarah E K The $20 off link isn’t working for me either. Any suggestions?
Hmm...I tried refreshing the link in the description box, so you may want to try that one. I think it must also be your first order and over $30 to qualify. Other than that, I'm not too sure unfortunately :(
Miss Sarah E K Maybe it’s an iPhone thing. I’ll try from a pc and a Mac. Thanks for the effort and the incredibly helpful video.
I tried to use your referral link and it didn't work for me. Thanks for doing this vid;)

Hi Christine! I do still have a referral link. You can try this one: www.talkable.com/x/demYZ2

The referral link didn't work for me either.
I have a link www.talkable.com/x/7tqzVZ
Thanks for all the info, I'm excited to try my first pair! And I'm on the site now, in Check-Out, but it didn't apply the discount. Is it still valid?

Thanks for the attempt! It still didn't work, so I'll just try them at full price.
thanks for sharing. 💗
Thanks for watching :)
I orderer squares in my regular size (7.5) and they were a bit tight. Returned and ordered 8. But they were too big. :( I am going try the point one and hopefully they fit.
oh no! the voucher is no longer available!
Rothy’s puts a monthly limit to how many people can click it so sometimes it stops working sadly 🙁
When u say size up do u mean a half or full size?
I would recommend at least half a size! For rounded toe I have been sizing up half a size and the pointed toe I size up either a full size or half a size (for some reason the different colors fit differently and the black flats are bigger than the other colors I’ve tried).

No, they won't stretch out at all. I learned the hard way, so now I have a pair that I can't wear and can't return.
Thanks for all the info. I ordered a 9 because I’m usually an 8.5 but it was too big and I felt like my foot was coming out so I ordered an 8.5 but that felt too tight. Do they stretch at all?

You can get them 8.5 but wide. This is what I do. I just ordered them wide.
How are Rothy with wide feet? I'm a half size, so does that mean I should size up 1 full size?
I had a weird case where I bought a pair and the back heel hurt portion was basically clawing at my back and it hurt so bad I couldn’t wear the shoes, my back heel got super red and started to blister from the back shoe part (like that blue line) rubbing so badly....I’m usually a 6, and I got a 6 to start but it felt tight/constricting so I exchanged the shoe for a a 6 1/2, but that caused the heel pain....should I try a 7?
