Giving your equipment a good cleaning is so satisfying. I had a 2005 Sportsman 700 that I cleaned and polished after every major outing. Just sold it yesterday in fact. People asked me all the time if it was new. When I told them it was 16 years old they were always in disbelief. I plowed my neighborhood for 12 years with that machine. Never had a breakdown of any kind. I took great care of it and it took care of my whole neighborhood. Very rewarding to see it last for all those years and it still looked better than when I trailered it at the dealership back in 2005.
Nice! I have a 2020 xp1000. We recently lost a member of our family that we rode with in the summer so I doubt it will ever be rode much again, But im looking forward to cleaning it up like new and using it for small chores around the house I guess. Expensive tool to set my trash cans out with haha.
Morning! I am installing the dome lights to the bus bar today. You mention that I need to wire the key hot wire and hot wire together then to the wire from the light? If I wire it directly to just the hot wire will that work? Appreciate the advice! Great videos, very helpful!!
It seems to me the spray cleaner in the beginning is an unnecessary step. The foam does a great job covering every square inch. With the unit all foamed up, that’s when I’d use the brush, and skip the spray bottle cleaner.
Thanks Joey! I think the results are worth the price in the end, but if you have a foam cannon already you can just buy the smaller kit and save some money.
No I have had no issues with water getting in speakers. When I do the engine I don't put a ton of water on top where the all the electrical stuff is just spray it lightly.
How did you clean the inside? Mine sits under a covered shed, and under a car cover, but it gets a lot of dust still inside the cab. Can you spray water and soap directly on the inside and not mess up the digi-gauges?
Yes you can spray water and soap in the inside of the cab. I also use a mit to wash the inside too. Just dont over spray the electronics and glance them with the pressure washer.
I have come come to this video Mike so the vinyl and rubber spray will take the discoloration of the top of the bed on my Polaris hope all is well with you guys
Two suggestions, one, put water in bottle first, then add soap, otherwise it foams up and you don't get a full bottle. two, never put plastic protectant on tire treads, only sidewalls.
No that's my fence and is fenced in so the dog won't get out. Not sure what you mean on zero lot lines. The house sits on 5 acres if that's what you mean.
For better control when you use your foam cannon try the www.amazon.com/MATCC-Pressure-Washer-Nozzles-Washers/dp/B06X9PLZSR/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2GK4W0E5HM1VN&keywords=pressure+washer+gun&qid=1567041606&s=gateway&sprefix=Pressure+washer+%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-3. Also to keep your suspension cleaner and resist mud use spray furniture polish on it before u go riding.
@@UTVDIRT Guess if avoid the areas listed in the manual you'll be ok The best and safest way to clean your POLARIS vehicle is with a garden hose and a pail of mild soap and water. 1. Use a professional-type washing cloth, cleaning the upper body first and the lower parts last. 2. Rinse with clean water frequently. 3. Dry surfaces with a chamois to prevent water spots. WASHING TIPS • Avoid the use of harsh cleaners, which can scratch the finish. • Do not use a power washer to clean the vehicle. • Do not use medium to heavy duty compounds on the finish. • Always use clean cloths and pads for cleaning and polishing. Old or reused cloths and pads may contain dirt particles that will scratch the finish. • Grease all zerk fittings immediately after washing. Allow the engine to run for a while to evaporate any water that may have entered the engine or exhaust system. If a high pressure water system is used for cleaning (not recommended), exercise extreme caution. The water may damage components and could remove paint and labels. Avoid directing the water stream at the following items: • Wheel bearings • Radiator • Transmission seals • Brakes • Cab and body panels • Labels and decals • Electrical components and wiring • Air intake components
Thanks for your feedback! This is the first time anyone has said they can barely hear me. Also here is a link on how to adjust your headlights that you asked for in another video. Thanks for watching! ranger.polaris.com/en-us/self-help/article/KA-01279/
It does good and the nice thing about this kit is that it comes with water-less cleaner. You just spray it on a microfiber and wipe off and it looks like you just washed your unit without using any water.
20 bucks 2.5 gallon jug of simple grean from Homedepot does even better . And 12.00 can of SC1 makes ya machine look show room condition after the wash. Why people spend over 100 bucks on cleaner is beyond me .
I can appreciate taking care of your possessions but come on if you really use these things cleaning to this degree is a collosal waste of time and energy
This was a complete detail and I dont go to this extreme after I ride it every time. Maybe once or twice a year I will do a complete detail. The other times I will just pressure wash off the mud. Plus its easier to keep clean if you do a complete detail every year. Thanks for watching!

Yes it's always good to have a Ranger around for fun or work. Lol
Looks amazing boys , it's like straight outta the showroom
Can't wait for the next video
Yeah it came out great! Thanks Peter!
a tip : watch series at KaldroStream. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Ronnie Rayan yea, been watching on kaldrostream for since november myself :)
What's the advantage of the foam cannon over a soap bucket and a mit?
I'm hearing freedom sound in the background.
Yes sir!
What tire wheel package is that? And size? Same all around? Great look.
They are 30x10x14 witha 4+3 offset on a set of carnivores and MSA rims. Thanks for watching!
@@UTVDIRT Those tires look sharp. I think I will put those on my Ranger.

He explains it in-depth on his 18" Light Bar video.
I Have A Polaris RZR How Can I Use A Pressure Washer Without Having The Stickers Peel Off.
Don't use an aggressive nozzle and keep it at least a foot away to prevent it.
@ And Is It Possibly To Make It Look Brand New Like Off The Showroom Floor?
What’s the best thing to use to keep the windshield clean while ridding. Half way though a ride I can barely see out my windshield any suggestions?
I put ceramic coating on this windshield and it helped a lot.
Will be sending you some RAGE cleaner soon it’s different from the other stuff I sent our Polaris dealership uses it also happy new year guys!!!!!
Nice thanks! Happy new year to you Lakey! 2020 will be a big year for UTV DIRT.

great video! kits a little pricey..but it made your unit look brand new

Do you have to worry about the speakers or radio when spraying. Also do you have to be careful around the engine when spraying? Thanks
No I have had no issues with water getting in speakers. When I do the engine I don't put a ton of water on top where the all the electrical stuff is just spray it lightly.
Any tips on how to keep the seats from staining?
Its hard to keep the stains off but I use armor all on the seats and that seems to help.
@@UTVDIRT hm alright. Thanks for the reply 👍

Would you do another video on how you put that one back up light when you put the utv in reverse. Thankd
Yeah I can do a quick review of the install on my next install video.
You will love the light very easy install
Maybe you should start with having some dirt on it to begin with
Haha. Check out my trail ride videos and you will see how muddy it got. Thanks for watching!
Someone is getting ready for deer season makes me jealous I can hear them sighting their gun in
Yep it's right around the corner. Lol
So spraying all that foam inside with digital display won't hurt it?
I have had no issues with both my units. I do not hold the pressure washer full blast on the instrument panel I just mist it on.
what do you do for a living?
I am a Senior Manager at a local company and a High school Varsity football coach.
@@UTVDIRT That is great. We were in Cincinnati for over 50 years. Retired and moved to Somerset, Ky 3 years ago. All the best to you and yours.
Nice! Thank you!
I have never seen anything like this before freaking awesome
Thanks Lakey! It looks brand new again. I used your all purpose cleaner too and works good.
Lol really
Looks great, good job !!
Thank You!
You can come do mine next because you're really good at it 😉
Thanks lol
Great video!
Thank you!
What did you use to clean the windshields?
I used car wash soap to wash the windshield so it wouldn't scratch. Then I ceramic coated it again.
Helpful hint! Don’t put the detergent in your foam cannon first fill it with water first.
Looks like Zero lot lines. Is that your neighbors fence?
No that's my fence and is fenced in so the dog won't get out. Not sure what you mean on zero lot lines. The house sits on 5 acres if that's what you mean.
Why wasn't the ZEP product used - tested?
I have used it in the past and it works good but wanted to try out the other kit to see how it worked. Thanks for watching!
Who knows if all polaris rzrs are waterproof?
Awesome videos sad you sold it you were my go to ranger guy lol
Thanks lol! Might get another one so will see.
What rear bumper is that?
I got it off of Amazon and have a link in the description of my bumper install video.
Awesome job. Ty.
Thanks for watching!
I’m not sponsored either. I use a full case of cleaner every ride too.
What kind of radio are using?
I am using SSV Works 2 speaker audio system. I did a install video on it a couple months ago. Check out the vid it's a good system.
Looks like they were pressure washing a clean buggy. Video it close enough where we can see what your doing.

I washed it separately with car wash soap and a microfiber towel. Then I put a paint sealant on to help against scratches.

No I have no issues with the gear lever. Goes in high real easy.
UTV DIRT ok thx just trying to figure out why it’s super hard to go into gear do u have a clue why?
I heard some people say there is a adjustment that can be made and most of them took it into the dealer to get it done.
I have to push hard to get into high. If I don’t it pops out of gear.
