Nice find!!! I’ve found pieces like that around the California gold mines. Nice!!! I’ve been experimenting with different Gold Monster stands... most get in the way. I found that the heavy duty stand that Miner John sells is awesome but works much better on the NOX 800... the perfect stand for the Gold Monster 1000 is the fold a way unit made by/for the Nocta Macro. They sell it on Amazon for around $24. Keeps your Monster from falling over while sampling your dig. The Nocta stand is super light and folds away pretty flat. I put mine over the GM handle area, and put a bit of 3M 2-way tape on the sides to keep it in place. Still plenty of room for my hand, even with gloves on. The 5” NOX coil is awesome, but then the NOX kinda just falls over if you bump it. Hope this helps! Good luck out there, love the channel!!
Nice video again Bill. Makes me want to speed up the clock. I won’t be back to Stanton until March for my annual visit. Thank you for more Life’s Lessons in detecting! 50 degrees in Iowa.
Nice color in that rock. thanks for the great videos, I'll be wrapping my disc with tape like yours with the monster 1000. I have noticed some distracting noise from edge. but i suppose its more of a dust issue like you said getting in the seem of the disc etc. your videos have been real helpful as I'm just starting out. There's an area that I'm going with a lot of metals in the rock, quarts, pink, dark burgundy, rust etc. There is also a lot of soft dirt that I may have to go deeper at some point and may need to use a different machine I don't know. But for now there's plenty of rock out croppings to get on top of.
That big gold specimen will help pay for the new transmission on your truck. All I can say is, thank You Yehovah God for putting Bill on some nice gold. More gold to come for you and Tammy. I love the VG on the Bed rock you found. Another great video.
This is nice thanks this helps especially finding them small tiny pellet bb balls love it, I love learning from the best and I know your one thank you!. Another question what is good metal detector that finds gold but in cheap price?

***First off, thank you for the "hidden tip" I spotted at sec 23 in your clip! I just picked up a GM 1000 myself and was considering options for a stand but didn't much like what I saw out there in the aftermarket offerings... That PVC set-up looks like it would do the trick, yet not get in the way of your swing: LOL - Nice job! Do you tape your 10" coil also? 2nd question: I know you talked about the debate over the sensitivity of the 10" coils before, but is there any hope that you might upload a "show-n-tell" comparing the 5" & 10" in the near future? Wishing you a lot of "whip-whips" in your day!
I really like your videos and their always so informative. I was wondering I just became a RoadRunner member and have been out to Lil San Domingo numerous times. Do you usually hunt in Roadrunner claims? Or GPAA

Hey there Bill. Looking for some guidance for a friend who wants a metal detector for primarily treasure hunting. I'm wondering if you could give a recommendation for a mid-range detector and if you might happen to have one in stock?
I think I would put that specimen in a little dish of vinegar and let it soak a bit. See if that did not clean it and shine up the gold to be very obvious then keep it like that. Unless most of it is on the inside. Then it might be worth crushing.
Sir I enjoy your journals, do you have a link online to your store? I'd like to get a green scoop and the pick you use and support your channel at the same time. Do you have an email if not?
Awesome finds. That chunk with the gold makes me wonder if it broke off a bigger one up the wash lol. Thanks for sharing, good luck, happy hunting and take care.

www.patreon.com/nuggetshooterjournals, an LDMA membership allows use of GPAA claims as well and they have many good claims, but remember club claims are for educating yourself about how and where to find gold and learning to find new areas on your own is the goal.
I've heard stories of seemingly normal looking rock like that in the desert turning out to be big chunks of covered over gold. Covered with age, pateen whatever. Its amazing!

just when i say that you find a rock with gold in it
In some areas is it better to use the small coil, and what is the difference between the small and the slightly larger coil gm10
The smaller coil is a bit more sensitive and the larger coil will get better ground coverage and go a bit deeper
