I wish this worked :( but I pinged my iphone and I didn’t hear it pinging because It was dead.and it said iPhone 11 and up will ping when it’s dead. But when it was talking about how to find your iPhone when it’s dead, it didn’t work :( I’m very upset.

Great educational video. I now have a better understanding. The problem with the app is its not accurate. I left my i phone in my car realized it was lost the next day. The find my app showed it in my neighbors driveway 120+ feet away. Puzzled as to why it was in my neighbors drive way I waited a day before i knocked on there door to ask if they found my phone. On the 3rd search of my car i found the phone. How do you tell your neighbor that my phone was last seen in there driveway.
this happens, because someone with an iphone drove past your car, and picked up bluetooth signal from your lost phone. but the when the location of your lost phone was reported to the system (Apple headquarter?), the GPS location of the phone that picked up the bluetooth signal was reported with a delay, so it was not the location of your lost iphone, but the location of iphone that picked up the signal, which was moving pretty fast in a car, and of certain distance from the lost iphone.
But if the iwatch is dead when you start looking for it, is there anything that can be done to find it? Is there any data where it was before the battery died?
How accurate are the directions? I’m looking for my iPad and 2 other of my devices indicate that it’s in the middle of my next door neighbours house. I don’t want to accuse them or call the cops of the directions aren’t accurate.

I tried but failed. I have setup passcode, face id, and enable all find my funcaltions on my new iPhone 14, but I cannnot locate it's update position when it has been turned off... @@ML_Vlog. only way to find it is if the thief connects it to Wi-Fi. Mines still missing. Make sure you enable lost mode and DO NOT remove the phone from your iCloud. I lost my phone the weekend before Christmas and lost mode has been pending since January. It’s a waiting game. Or if you enabled google maps timeline tracking you can check that.

Boss this may sound dumb but my mum took my Xbox Controller away also my iPad (Hidden them together) and when I try to make my iPad make a sound it doesn’t I went into every room in the house and pressed “Play sound” and it doesn’t play a sound I can’t hear it, I tried lost mode to see if that will make a sound and guess what… Still nothing! Ok here's the issue with using find my when the iPhone ipad etc is offline or has a dead battery. The last known location is all you get. So if the last known location was say San Diego ,CA 2 days ago it's impossible to know today where it might be. Good chance it's in TJ. Also this same thinking lead to a swat type raid on a 77 year old grandmas house because the iPhone owner told cops the last known location for an iphone that died. 22 hours later swat served the warrant at grandmas house and the iPhone and his truck was gone.
