Holy crap ! What a great sounding horn and a great playing demonstration. It’s a Commercial music producer’s dream sound! Thank you for the model number explanation also.
Love the sound of that horn! Sounds like an amazing all rounder! It really sings! Mind you, I think you could make a hose pipe sound like a high end trumpet 🎺! 👍🏻 Love these videos, thank you for posting them, must be quite a chore at times, but I’m sure others will agree, they keep us sane in these crazy times!
@@austincustom snow ❄️!! We have been lucky in East Sussex so far, but there has been some flurries on high ground a bit further north! I’m lucky that I have managed to keep working so have other distractions from the situation , I know many who haven’t, but even so, I look forward to your posts every day!
@@austincustom LOL I listen to Quiet Kenny all the time and Freddie is my favorite so I am a dummy. Speaking of. Freddie, Red Clay is my favorite record do you ever play that? I would like to transcribe it someday when I’m better.
Here's the listing for this awesome trumpet! www.austincustombrass.biz/pre-owned-carolbrass-ctr-7065l-rlm-trumpet-in-lacquer-excellent-condition/

CB horns are very good; most underrated of all brands. the CB balanced model is special.

Of course, Trent could make a garden hose and a funnel sound great ... though I do love my CarolBrass Phat Puppy pocket flugelhorn.
Now that's a trumpet
Really love ACB videos! killer! what would you advise as alternatives(s) to the later committee 3460? Actually looking for one...thanks!
there are lots of options. Adams a9 is a great one! email us anytime at info@austincustombrass.com and we'd be happy to call!
Sounds somewhat like a committee depending on the scale. With those braces, is the horn a little heavier?
There will be a quiz! 😂
How would you say this competes with an olds recording? (Great video by the way - I was looking for a video on this trumpet only last week)
Very different. What are you looking for? Best thing to do is email us at info@austincustombrass.com. Sure we will have something great for you!
Why didn't the Committees have 1st valve slides?
They usually don't need them - they have tuning quirks that are very different than a Bach type trumpet (e.g. D is usually in tune, but G is sharp)
What is the name of the tune you played after you talked about the horn?
Time in the video?

Lotus blossom
Donald Byrd right? I hope I can get half as good a tone as you before I die.
Kenny Dorham wrote Lotus Blossom later freddie coined it Asiatic Raes but it's the same song without the 6/8 vibe on the a sections.
