Yeah, it's rough. I don't care about being at the edge of the game, I just want people to prog with without dealing with raging babies. The game's great like that, and I miss it.
That's a fair point, I should had talked about that a bit more when I talked about losing my initial raid group. Like without them as someone who doesn't stream, no shot I would had stayed with the game just dealing with party finder.
I pug everything…but I am a pre-order player who has not taken a break. The game is unplayable for anybody with under 1 to 1.5 year invested without thousands of dollars spent or friends to carry you.
if they accomodate a 3 character roster instead of 6, while giving slightly lower mats and gold. It will be a huge win. 6 characters is just too much for many people
what about 1 character, you can funnel all the gold of 6 characters into 1, with the same ilevel? like you got 3 1610 and you run akkan, you can get the reward 3x.
Yeah, something like that would benefit the game. Instead they just made solo mode. Which like I mentioned is like a half measure fix since you don't get the same rewards + It's not every piece of content.
I'm sorta looking forward to the ignite(?) servers coming just to see if I can drag a few victims--er friends into the trying to play. Cause currently I no longer have any friends left again and I'm barely motivated to do even solo modes. Solo modes need to be expanded more for me to want to keep going at this point. Basically just gonna see how Kayangel goes and go from there since I don't have like 7 people to drag in. I feel Kayangel isn't so bad the first time around, so we'll see.
@@Jukwol They said they're planning a way to allow players to transfer characters to another server after they finish. Probably the usual express stuff, and maybe more? The date also is likely nearing October though.
lets be real if players went to T4 they would struggle in the raids, theres so much mechanical depth and complexity compared to the old raids that time in T3 for a newbie is probably good
facts. No matter how many free stuff they give to new players the game has a big learning curve. People need to learn their class and how the raids are designed in order to have fun.
From combat pov alone, this game lacks diversities such as you're unable to fully customize your skills set, for instance, instead of fixed set of tripods line 1,2,3 .. they should allows you to choose and arranges your own personal skill tree line 1/2/3 from almost every skills available and more of these skills should be updates, added over time, meaning you could create unlimited combinations and very own distinguished skills set for better gameplay that suits your style, build etc.
I have a lot of time in this game, the solo raids are great. An update I would like is if at least 50% gold for soloraids was not bound. Also release all raids as solo for the west. The groupfinder is unusable for casual😊 solos
Just a thought that came to me while you talked about skill cooldowns. I tried games like Destiny 2, where you have 1-2 skills with to me seemingly arbitrary cooldown, just slapping something on it, doesn't really feel like it has anything to do with pacing. In Lost Ark it makes or breaks the game, it feels really really good. On the other note I see people talking about playing with friends. During clown release era, I made most of my friends in this game, which they have quit over time, after hm brel release, and with my burnout some ventured to play with other people, and I'm almost stuck alone, if not for making a good friend at Akkan release. That still doesn't make up for the void of missing 6 other people like that you could just hit it off with and fuck around in raids. I miss them a lot.
Yeah, I wish I would had talked about how much better this game is with the homies. Part of the reason I've kind of fallen off is because most of them burned out.
7k hours, without a static i spent months joining discords for an akkan learner and everyone was brainwashed and in their own world that revolves around korea. it was miserable. quitting was the best thing i ever did in my life. it's predatory, addictive, and extremely unrewarding. You can't grind to catch up even if you want to cause everything is timegated. all the amazing maps and world are bypassed by anyone who didn't play from the beginning so 90% of the game is obsolete and unplayed now. It's just an endless loop of lobby simulator each week with no other way to progress. The solo mode seems useful for people who are sick of the toxic community. But it's way too little, waay too late and significantly less rewards. Making a mode without raid wipes woulda been much better for the game and many new players to actually play with others. and mokoko passes ruin the game. But since progress is timegated and you can't grind to catch up, it's the only other thing they could think of doing. Terrible. I'm extremely sad that the best combat and character control enjoyment i've ever tried is linked to this casino disguised as an mmorpg.
In my case I just have fun trying different classses and exploring the world and islands also playing the story. Dont care less about end game content tbh
Yeah, I've bought a lot of character slots and pretty much had every class in my roster 6 at one point before moving onto another lol. The class design is just good.
Every time I log in this game Im constantly torn between thinking its the best game (combat wise) designed, while inside the raids and then looking at all the systems outside the combat + the constant lobby simulator and asking myself why I am doing this to myself. This is even more exacerbated by the fact that I dont really spend money on the game (outside the Ark passes) and doing my daily 12 CDs and 6 GRs somewhat diligently. Just seeing self-proclaimed "F2P" people with a roster of multiple 1640+ characters with full 10s etc. is simply infuriating. The fact that so many of the endgame raiders are RMTing, using Chaos bots and stuff like that just makes the entry barrier for the raids and actually being able to afford a lot of the systems a lot harder than it should be and imo is a punch in the face for all the players that arent cheating. I hope that AGS and SG will actually combat this in the future but looking at what they did so far I dont think this will happen. However, for me the fun that the combat and raid encounters provide outweighs the negatives that come from the game itself or the black sheep in the community that play it. There simply isnt another game which has such an insane combat as Lost Ark for me. This is also why I still think that this game could become a lot more popular if the obvious issues with it (the main one being the entry barrier for new/casual players) would be alleviated or outright fixed. I hope that they will build upon the success of recent changes such as the solo-raids and give casual players more options to enjoy the game, rather than dropping it after being rejected from 99% of the parties. Thank you for the nice video and have a wonderful day o/
NW is already completely dead, LOA is fun if you have friends to raid with (gatekeeping is harsh) solo raids are decent for beginners, conclusion : Neither, play throne and liberty
Ignite servers releasing with tier 4 in October makes zero sense to me from a marketing perspective because zero new players will get to enjoy ark passive, which is the main attraction for tier 4. The only players that will be able to enjoy it relatively soon are the bleeding edge players in legacy servers (you need aegir ancient accessories to start noticing the dmg difference from tier 3). That being said maybe ignite servers do something crazy and they truly go ham with how fast they push that 1 character to end game.
Personally, I don't like Gatekeeping at all because if you're a roaster of level 150 or lower, you're not accepted into any Endgame Raid. You end up stuck in the older raids where you get less gold and lower roaster levels. It's not friendly at all to new players. I returned to the game some time ago, and even though I learned all the mechanics of a raid, it took me more than 2 days to get into one, while learning the mechanics only took me 20 minutes.
stay away, typical p2w korean mmo where u need to play 6 character or ur gold income is 0 and if you are a new player good luck getting into raids, noone let you in and the world outside these raids is dead, no activities to do unless u like fishing (pressing "g" every 15sec) xD. this ship will not stop sinking, devs have no intention of changing/fixing crappy systems, eventually they'll close servers.
if i had to give advice to new players id say only invest in a main if ur gona have alts only work on them with the exspresses but even with that keep ur 5 other gold earners no higher then 1600 till 1620 becomes alot cheaper just not worth even if it makes t4 smoother all they need do is make u gold in time 1620s will be more achievable with alts but with elixers transcendence ark passive ect its just to exspensive to invest in alts without exspresses thats my opinion tho play smarter not harder
not really, unless you have friends , time or wallet. The core issue of this game still stay the same : super grindy , very hard raid and toxic playerbase with support issues . Playing solo is decent but 100% bound gold reward from it suck
Game is getting better and better - playing in pugs or static is both a really good experience for me for the last couple of months. Ofcourse I will keep playing! The Game is really enjoyable, can’t understand people who would claim to quit or not return.
problem is the inherent structure of the game and the refusal to see it from the devs despite both korea and the west been saying the same things for years.
There are way too many systems right now. In T3 it felt like there were a lot of systems but they were achievable. West just got to complete them all and now we are back on the treadmill. Its too much too soon for us. I don't know why people were pushing so hard to get on KR's content cadence. It was a huge mistake.
The answer is no. Lost Ark T4 is even more p2w than ever. And they really have NOT added anything fun. Ask any Lost Ark loser what’s fun about T4, they literally would not be able to answer. There’s one shitty raid, more shitty progression systems, if you were at the top end of t3 you now have a GIGA grind and half the classes got shafted and or are legit shit (looking at you Slayer, Aeromancer, Reaper, Glaive, etc) except breaker/SE (the new ones) and I guess EO and Sorc. Great video though Juk, always a pleasure and I hope some more TFD content comes through!
As a "Lost ark loser" who recently returned after clearing all ultimate FF XIV raids. I am only looking forward to one thing in T4, my Ark passive and my T skill and Hyper awakening. The rest are crappy KR progression systems but I'm used to these after playing BnS, Vindictus, Black Desert Online, TERA. They suck but there are some pros, (even if they are very little) to be excited for when T4 Drops
I just returned after stopped playing for 2 years I feel very overwhelmed by everything and remembered why I quit but I enjoy playing casualy and trying diff classes very happy about solo mode
Yeah, sadly even with tier 4 they don't really reduce anything you need to learn. So you have to learn everything form t3 and then all the changes to t4
This game is unplayable without friends. Progging raids with friends is the only thing keeping me playing.
Yeah, it's rough. I don't care about being at the edge of the game, I just want people to prog with without dealing with raging babies. The game's great like that, and I miss it.

Aww it can't be play without friends. (Lol excuses. ). Just enjoy it has solo mode DG.
I pug everything…but I am a pre-order player who has not taken a break.

u can make a lot of friends ingame though - i made that aswell!
You hit this right on the mark. And appreciate the fgc music
We love fighting game music here. Also beat em ups and action games.
if they accomodate a 3 character roster instead of 6, while giving slightly lower mats and gold. It will be a huge win. 6 characters is just too much for many people
Yeah my goal with Tier4 is to see how little I can play to exist on the front lines on normal mode on release content.
what about 1 character, you can funnel all the gold of 6 characters into 1, with the same ilevel? like you got 3 1610 and you run akkan, you can get the reward 3x.
You've convinced me dude. I'm quitting Lost Ark 🤗
It's joever.
Would love to try this game if they fix the gatekeeping. In FF14 for example you get rewarded for helping new players
Yeah, something like that would benefit the game. Instead they just made solo mode. Which like I mentioned is like a half measure fix since you don't get the same rewards + It's not every piece of content.
their will always be gatekeeping unless they strait ban ppl for it its just human nature
I'm sorta looking forward to the ignite(?) servers coming just to see if I can drag a few victims--er friends into the trying to play. Do we even have much details for those js2.0 servers? I'm not gonna lie, I've been very out of the loop.

unlikely atleast for while i see ur point they will add more to solo raids in future but this is mmo first not a single player game
Great video king
Thanks Cotee.
