This is so sad. We've already said goodbye once. It was hard enough the 1st time & now we have to do it all over again. "Middle Earth is a real place & it exists in our hearts." -Sir Ian Mckellen (Gandalf). Thank you Peter. God bless you Tolkien.
I'm so glad to be part of this time. We've had the best line up of fantasy for a very long time. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars. It is hard to believe that anything will be able to surpass what we have, now.
Trust me, plenty of things will surpass those movies. But for our kind our species, right now, this is what makes up our right to have freedom and to live happily because the music and books and movies and everything is just wonderful to us.
I felt so completely lost and lonely after this movie. The ache in my body will never go away. Every time I think of Thorin, Kili, and Fili, my heart wants to burst right out of me. I want to scream. Farewell, the masters who changed everything!! Namariae!
Ilona Oh yes, I know. The book was way better than the movies, by far, but still. I don't know if I'm just a crazy book nerd with mental issues, but these movies were phenomenal, besides the fact they didn't follow the book at all. The book is *always* better than the movies. :)
"You asked me once if I told everything there was to know about my...adventures. And while I can honestly say I have told you the truth, I may not have told you all of it."
This makes me picture a man rising from his sorrow and rising from hardship, and taking on challenges all while reaching for something more. This music makes me picture a man going through pain, glory, and pushing himself to reach something great. But in the end, he is left standing in the wake of destruction.
Can we just take a minute and appreciate the greatness and epicness that is The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Nothing will ever come close to being as amazing as they will.

At first, I was somewhat irritated that the movies didn't quite follow the book and so many things were added that weren't there in the first place but literally at the last millisecond before (SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIES) Thorin was killed, I started rooting for him and the entire series. I was pretty heartbroken when "The Last Goodbye' played during the credits. I was actually crying. It wasn't just a goodbye to the characters, it was a goodbye to Middle Earth and to the entire fanbase.
+valentinocolic I noticed the same thing. This and one of the main themes from Oblivion (on tracks like "Waking Up") have the exact same chord progression, so that's why you hear that.
When the woman starts vocalizing at 2:25, does it not seem like a woman wailing in mourning for the dead? Can't say as I blame her. RIP Kili, Fili, and Thorin Oakinshield

Just wait till the Magician (Raymon E Feist) and Halo Movie Sagas. That will be game over!
The Riftwar Saga is one of my favorites. The casting will have to be great though. Jimmy the Hand, Arutha, Pug, Thomas....this is really exciting!!

Farewell, the masters who changed everything!! Namariae!
I appreciate your emotional comment, but some people haven't actually seen the movie yet. Please try to refrain from spoiling it.
Mithrol the indestructible metal......lol

+Slender Man The book is out since decades...

LipSticked Uh, no.
"You asked me once if I told everything there was to know about my...adventures. And while I can honestly say I have told you the truth, I may not have told you all of it."
The epicness reminds me of Thorin saying "Who will follow me one last time." then charging into battle. Also the scene where he fights Ozog.
*Azog

어쩌면 우리가 남기는 양자정보가 영원히 이 공간에 남아있고 그걸 재활용하기때문에 우리가 이런 연속성과 선형성을 느끼는 걸지도 모르겠다.
Why does this remind me of Oblivion OST? Can anyone relate, and maybe explain?
Reminds me too this is a great track though
+valentinocolic I noticed the same thing. This and one of the main themes from Oblivion (on tracks like "Waking Up") have the exact same chord progression, so that's why you hear that.
