Hiya Al! On that last video I should have thought to suggest a variation I saw from another RUclipsr some time ago (sorry, I can't recall who). Start by lying face down on a towel on a smooth floor. Extend the arms over your head as if you were reaching for a pull-up bar, then grab the the floor and pull yourself towards your hands. The movement pattern is very similar to an actual pull-up, and progression can be made by changing the towel with something of a different fabric to change the amount of friction. The more friction there is, the harder the exercise. As a bonus, the floor will be wiped clean where you do your workout!
Hey hey hey Al, congrats on that first video hitting it off! Well deserved
Hi Al! Great ideas as always! BTW In the name of all non-native English speakers, thank you for speaking so clearly and carefully.
Al has inspired me and I’ve started my own exercise channel. Turns out I’m really out of shape
I saw the thumbnail and I died of laughter 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the hotel room demo! Thanks!
hey hey hey AL! awesome exercises and tips :) who else used to do the door edge pull ups when they were a kid? 😉
AL 🙌🏻Always awesome
Thanks Al, for ur videos and contents
If you go to the playground with your kids, getting on the bars or climbing the swings is a fun place to pull up. But if you don't have kids and you go by yourself sometimes the parents will look at you suspiciously.
Great Al!!!.
Great tips Al 👌
Many thanks for everything on your channel. Although I'm just getting started with calisthenics, your videos help me see what might be possible if I keep at it. So far, so good.
Thanks!
Hey Al, great to see you mentioned using a door way but you forgot to mention the easier method of actual hanging off the door.
To preserve the hinges, put wood blocks or something under the door to take your weight.
Love the idea of using a training partners arm
I still don't see any bars or fitness constructs in the yard yet!
Time to set things up for the in-laws
Hey hey hey, Al! My daughter (8) always watches me do my bodyweight exercises. Now she wants that too, but she doesn't want to do those kid exercises - she wants to do the exact same thing as me - push - pull - squat - handstand - bridge - hanging leg raises - rows. What could a training plan for children look like? What do I need to pay attention for?
please add closed caption. thanks. ya awesome
Hi al let know how many hours do you work out a day, how many days a week and what's the longest period of time you were not able to work out?
Big fan sir from punjab india
Al, As we move through life, we often have a change of perspective on things…is there anything in one of your past videos where you no longer agree with your old self? Thanks!!
i do rows with some gadget i found in winners, similar to trx, for 15 bucks
What is it?
Hey hey hey Al! Can I ask a squat question?
In the basic body weight squat, when do you reach a point of diminishing returns? Like, is there a rep range where you’ve gotten most of the benefits of that exercise and it’s time to explore more challenging ones?
hey hey hey Al...what's your favorite portable pull-up bar? Tell me and I'll buy it! Thanks! Burps
Hey, Al. I got a question. I am fairly new to calisthenics and I am interesting in doing them for strength. However I would like like to incorporate some plyometrics at some point. When should I start doing plyometric training? and how should I organize my training regime to acommodate both regular strength training and plyometric training?. Thanks for reading. Greetings from Mexico.
Hi Al,
what you think of neutral grip pull-ups?
Hey Al, you posted my comment on dragon presses but instead demonstrated dragon flags! While dragon flags work lats, I believe dragon presses work pulling muscles more intensely. Similar to victorians?
You still with the in-laws…🙂?
