The critical point is missed entirely. The start of the roll must be the closed end of the cover, and the end to which you are rolling must be the open end. If you don't get this starting point right, this technique does not work.

Thirdly, if he had've mentioned that you start at the end which doesn't have the buttons, when you commence rolling.

Sure it does... make sure you match the end of the duvet with the end of the comforter. Once you roll it from the top to the bottom w/ buttons.. Now, turn the roll inside and it looks like a hot dog bun and you button it up.. Now pull from the back side a little at a time and magically the darn thing unrolls with the duvet perfectly in place. At first I wasn't sure how to "unroll it" but if you pull it gently it will be obvious how to get it unrolled and in place. I'm really small and trying to do a king Down comforter into a Duvet was like a wrestling match for me. This took less than five minutes and it's perfect!!

I just started working housekeeping at the Venetian and playing with the duvet has been kicking my ass. This is definitely a cool trick and I will definitely look into trying it.

I confess I was very skeptical throughout while getting a queen size duvet on my queen size comforter. In my head I was like “this isn’t going to work…” And then OMG! It DID!!! Did it all on my own! Wow! Super cool! 👏🙌
