Hi, as a broadacre agronomist we can have the same result with products not playing nice with each other. But do have to ask why not add each product to the water mix seperate, rather than add neat product to neat product , in your situation, why mix in a large bucket first then add to backpack sprayer. If diluted in water first some products don’t react , but neat on neat can be a jelly / glue outcome, cheers and thanks for all you do informative and appreciated 👍😃🏌🏼♂️
Hi Ian, The neat to neat was to show what happens when there is a compatibility issue. The jug helps reduce foaming in the tank especially with soil wetting products. When using products that like PGR that only require 6-10ml of chemical i feel using a jug gives you the ability to ensure the chemical is mixed as best as possible. Sorry for the delay in replying mate, Ive been snowed under and Im just flying through the comments now 😬🤦♂️
@@theaussielawn all good thanks , just trying to highlight that mixing in water can reduce the conflict between some products and maybe allow a one pass spray trip, a small jug test with products and water is cheaper and easier then a gluggy knapsack or boom spray , cheers and thanks for your info and insights 👍😃
I understand it would be a lot of work to do, but a video explaining each of the plant doctor products and what you like & recommend for warm season grasses would be awesome, as we're thinking of going over to the plant doctor soon.
@The Aussie Lawn No problem Brentton, even just type it back as a comment if that's easier for you & i can screen shot it ect. I appreciate your help & knowledgeable anyway.
I'd always done the Seaweed Secrets separately and washed it in. Will have to give this a try! Can admit to tank mixing the iron and Activate m8 in the past - as soon as you add the iron into mixed activate, its like the iron falls out of suspension and creates mud on the base of sprayer. Use separately now - great products!
Would a good dose of organic matter e.g organic fertiliser be beneficial over time for that area down the front. And that lovely mix will work well for a while iam sure
Hi Brenton, Loving your work on the lawns, Your Lawns look SO green. I'm giving the Activ8 Extra a go and I'm also going to use the lawn feed come feeding time. I must admit the Lawn Doctor delivery is really good and the other products appear to work well, I have a question on the rate you suggest for Active8 Extra you use 250ml per 100? The bottle shows less as the application rate... Can you over feed the lawn and not cause any damage? Wilko
The rate on the bottle is what I like to call a maintenance rate, I sometimes like to juice things up a bit with a stronger rate, You'll know when it doesn't require "boosted rates"
I did plan to top dress back in spring but the topdressing sand of choice was unavailable, Im hoping after winter there will be more sand at the quarry but the recent floods washed most away from the quarry unfortunately
I would apply them separately for best results. So maybe do quantum first water in then do the active extra and don’t water . Technically u could do as u ask but I reckon better results by applying separately.
@The Aussie Lawn Hi Brentton, i asked a question of you, about Plant Doctor products in your comment section, would appreciate your knowledge and feedback please mate. 🙏
Appreciate the walkthrough with all the chemicals, I’m 9 months into my tiftuf and this channel has been brilliant for my lawn care journey 👍🏽
Thanks mate

I might look at doing something like that in the cooler months when there are less grass things happening mate

Yeah I was keen to show what happens so people can get the best from their products
Yet another great video thanks mate 👍 Although the more I watch your content, the more I realise how much I neglect my lawn 😂 Keep up the great work
Hahaha Sullo, get onto it mate! No excuses I know you like a challenge so paint your thumb green and make me nervous 😜

Yes absolutely mate adding organics will help the situation too

Looks good. Would you consider coring and top dressings with topsoil on that area?
That would be interesting to see if it could help. 🤔
I did plan to top dress back in spring but the topdressing sand of choice was unavailable, Im hoping after winter there will be more sand at the quarry but the recent floods washed most away from the quarry unfortunately
@theaussielawn I've just purchased this mix. Would you need to water it in if i plan to also add Quantum H to my sprayer? Cheers and love the content

@@theaussielawn thanks for the tip. I figured that would make sense as Quantum H benefits with a watering in.
Benton is the Groomer Dethatcher you use for sale in US?
Not to my knowledge mate, although google search Protea mowers they are now the manufacturer of my Scott Bonnar 46 Scarifier
did you make that spray head yourself?
The boom spray? na it’s a solo genuine accessory mate
Hi do you use there granular fert, if so how do you find it.

@The Aussie Lawn Hi Brentton, i asked a question of you, about Plant Doctor products in your comment section, would appreciate your knowledge and feedback please mate. 🙏
Activ8-Extra is the BOMB. Great green up & works quickly!
Would you comfortable apply PGR with that Mix Brenton?
Thanks for the Vid.
Ive actually never tried it. Maybe thats something I could look at and do a test, Usually I roll with iron at PGR time
