Bedini SSG Battery Charger/Desulfator

- This circuit uses a 12v battery to charge other 12v batteries to a higher voltage. According to John Bedini, you are getting more out of the circuit than you put into it(Which I have not proven). The high voltage that is created to charge the 12v battery is created by the back EMF from the coil.

What the people who doubt these systems don't understand is that this is not receiving more energy than is being put into it, the battery is putting in X amount of energy, the magnets and coils are generating energy as well as Faraday's law will explain to those interested. He is getting energy from the battery, and energy from the coils and magnets as a system, it's not perpetual motion or creating energy out of thin air.
No, it has to be a small 120v neon lamp. You can buy them at radio shack. I used a drill, and I wound both wires onto the spool at the same time.
You are using 12V at 100ma, but you are converting that power input to a much higher voltage at 35 ma. Efficient or not, this unit allows me to charge batteries that would not take a change normally. It also allows me to charge batteries to a higher voltage before cutting the charger off.
You can buy them on Ebay, or other online stores for magnets.
No one has yet invented the perpetual motion machine and defied the laws of physics*. But don't let that stop you from trying. Thanks for the video.
* No matter what you see on YT, the simple fact is that IF someone did find out how to do it, they certainly wouldn't be selling plans and kits. They'd be hoarding the secret until they could make a few billion with it.
You try calculate COP? If yes, how big? Bedini said, before you measure COP you should charge/discharge battery minimum 5 times...possible 20 times, only then you can say system work well or not
Are you using rectified ac to charge your 12 volt battery ( In other woirds DC power) or are you using hi frequency hi voltage AC back EMF coming directly off the coil itself?
How can we be sure you are getting 35 mA at high pulses averaging out the spikes with 12.91 you can only hope it charged by readings after correct? contact me also I have something big for you. thanks Scott

I saw a diagram of the circuit. the neon bulb connects to the open hole, and the E on the transistor? the diagram also shows IN4007 connecting to the other open hole. But, I see only one thing connection to one of your open holes? do you have a better diagram? Idont understand your connections? where can you get the spool? I found a bunch of wire from a junk tv off craigslist.
for the neon bulb, I have a bunch of christmas lights, they look , like what you have, will those work for the neon bulb. also, how did you wind the coil?
Question...I built a 3 coil bedini motor. 1 coil is bifilar and the other 2 coils are run coils. I am charging 2 6v trojans wired in series. They are badly sulfated so I figured they were good candidates to test the bedini motor. My question is, I am getting a reading of 9.3v going into the batteries. I see videos where people are getting well over 12v off their motors. Is this low input because of the sulfation causing internal resistance in the batteries? As they desulfate the voltage will slowly rise until they come up to fully charged healthy batteries? I'm a fan and would really appreciate your opinion. Thx

Check the link in the video description/About section. I suggest you double check everything you did. Also check your components to make sure nothing is faulty. You could have a bad/shorted transistor. The circuit works fine and is very easy to get working. Make sure your coil is properly wound.

You're pulling a continuous 100ma. You say the battery is getting 35ma. Knowing the magnet size, and not the diameter of that wheel I can't tell you Duty cycle of the output of your coil. I have seen enough to know, this isn't an efficient way to charge batteries. It's still cool though.

electronicsNmore Exact measurement from a voltmeter?
A voltmeter will not show an accurate reading, just an average. You would have to use a scope, This project was made a long time ago, so I will not be able to test it right now. Testing the voltage without the neon lamp, usually results in a blown transistor.

I only use it if I feel a battery needs to be desulfated to help restore capacity.
The Bedini circuit doesn't produce more power than is consumed.

thatdrh, it isn't supposed to be an effective way to charge the battery. This is a cheap battery desulphater. Nothing more.
How high is the output voltage when you say "very high voltage"?
The neon lamp glows VERY brightly if the leads are disconnected from the battery being charged.
