Look forward to the videos Phil. Do you have a TV background? Your framing, scripting, editing and humor are a cut above the rest. I always enjoy your vids!
Good morning & many thanks for your comments - much appreciated! Ha ha no, I don't have any sort of TV background at all - I just like things to look as good as they can be! All the best, cheers Phil.
Thanks very much Dave, hope all is well with you. I'm always on the lookout for biscuit recommendations and as dark chocolate and ginger both tickle my fancy, I'll be heading to a supermarket shortly! Thanks for that, watch this space! All the best, cheers, Phil.
I was thinking your background was like foreshadowing of what you got planned for the rest of the year but that sounds exciting what you got coming brother!
Hello Motorcycleman, very good to hear from you and thanks for stopping by. I'll aim for as much excitement as possible :-) All the best, cheers, Phil.
I was a student in Newcastle from 1990 to 1993 living in Fenham . Great to have a walk down the hill on a Saturday afternoon. Did my cbt in Newcastle in 91 but only passed my full license last year ( better late than never!)
Good afternoon & great to hear from you! Student + early '90's + Newcastle = A rather good time I would imagine! Right time, right place - you must have had an absolute blast. I missed the highpoint of the hill as I was down south at the time but from what I've heard it certainly had some character. Congrats on passing your test! All the best, cheers, Phil.
Thanks for the update ,Westgate Road is now shadow of its former self in the70/80s i can remember it being packed its a sad site now,I have an xmax 300 moved to this as ive Arthritis in an Ankle and hand , i lived just behind the hill untill my early 20s that was a long time ago im now 62.
Good morning and great to hear from you and your memories of the hill. I missed the heyday but back in the '80's on Deansgate, Manchester it was very similar - loads of dealers, loads of bikes and a bit of mischief :-) It was great. Sorry to her about the arthritis but you're still on two wheels which is great. As a newcomer to scooters myself (ADV350) I've now really come to appreciate just how good they are and if they extend our life on two wheels, all the better. All the best, cheers, Phil.
Hey Ian, ha ha yeah, it's a match made in heaven really. And those biscuits were exactly like Lemon Drizzle cake in biscuit form - very nice. So nice that it took me 8 takes to film that little piece to camera :-) Chocolate gingers next I think.... All the best, enjoy the rest of your weekend, cheers, Phil.
Phil, doing reviews on bikes is just like describing biscuits .. If you haven't tested one, no reviews can help you 😀 .. I have short story but it's unfinished .. With my back problems, decided to make my own handlebars for the RE Hunter, the way I like it.. Can send you pictures after that if you want. The thing will be weird, like 1915 bike, not like 2024 bike.
Good morning Stefan, how are you doing? You make a very good point about reviews and describing biscuits - very well put! Your RE Hunter with different handlebars sounds very interesting - I'm now imagining something with those wide, back swept handlebars! But hey, if it works, great. Email is philip.heywood88@gmail.com....All the best, Phil.
@80eightReviews Hi mate. I live 10 mins from Newcastle, so can meet locally or ride up towards you. I often have a mon or Thursday free or sat/sun afternoon. Let me know if you want to set a date. I ve an Italian beauty for you to have a look at. 😊
Morning Paul, Of course you've piqued my interest with the phrase 'Italian Beauty' !!! And thanks for the offer - I'm not around this week and of course the weather is on the change and I can see the piles of grit just waiting to be spread on the road (and that's not good for any Italian of course)...Either way, my email is philip.heywood88@gmail.com - so when you get a minute drop me a note and then we can maybe try and arrange something? Look forward to hearing from you, cheers, Phil.
Well, I have done that before but you can't really go wrong with a good beer 'n' snack review can you? Especially the in-depth research that needs to be carried out :-) Watch this space! Have a good evening, cheers, Phil.
Morning gentlemen, just catching up on events. So, we've ascertained that Jon is a closet jogging German with an invisible umlaut over his name? Is that right? Yours, confused, Phil.
Look forward to the videos Phil. Do you have a TV background? Your framing, scripting, editing and humor are a cut above the rest. I always enjoy your vids!
