Another great review of an excellent value-for-money PD. My pick would definitely be the tiffany blue dial. They haven't got everything right, but for $120USD one cannot complain too much. For a few dollars more, it beggars belief why PD don't put a few layers of clear AR coating on the underside of the sapphire crystals of all their watches. The NH35 is not much (if at all) better than the Miyota 8215. Yes, hacking is nice but the Miyotas often run better out of the box and more stable. The Seiko NH35 needs to be fully wound before it runs consistently while the Miyotas run consistently even if not fully wound. And the difference in quality is certainly not based on one-sided winding. Even the new Miyota 9XXX movements, that technically outperform all the lower grade Seiko movements up to and including the 6R-line, are only winding in one direction. The watch looks amazing. I honestly don’t know why an ordinary person who likes watches and experiencing new watches often would buy anything other than these homages. The amount of money saved could easily be in the 10’s of thousands. Not to mention most high end watches like Rolex can’t be bought. Specifically I only buy 39mm on up watches. Oh and I only wear straps because of comfort. I take bracelets off. And props on the all Lume dial!!
my 50 different PD homages in my boxes are in cash total equal to my loved Tudor GMT - the difference is, I like to wear various watches - sometimes two different in one day - like them all, but looking at my Tudi waited 6 month to get my hands on it gives an additional not affordable smile to me. Dont need any other "high priced or valued brand" watch. But the Tudor will stay in family when gone. The around 100 PD's and all the other homages are worthless for everyone in future with expection of me having fun wearing it. Think I found my personal way - even if I consider to buy a Tudor Chrono or Rolli Explorer II as second "keeper" watch in future.
I agree with you guys. I have a Tissot, Oris and Armand Nicolet. My dream watch is a bell and Ross military diver. But I just can't get enough of my Chinese homages. I call them beaters and I just keep rolling my vintage submariner Pagani and my vintage submariner San martin... And now I ordered this pd1617. I really think that when I finally get my bell and Ross, I will stop with the high end (for me high end haha) and keep on getting these fun to wear watches. I mean I'm not scared of crashing the sapphire or getting mugged with I'm using them. And they really are well made.

@@watchreviews4k I wrote in the end of Jan to Pagani if they think to produce this watch in the nearer future and told em how it should be. Pagani designs are good only if you really don't have the budget or if you just want a watch to play around with. I'd pay more for a san martin or cronos, just speaking from my experience, I bought a pagani design pepsi homage, it was good for a month, then I started to regret not buying the cronos version
Its a shame about the specs war on Ali Express watches. On paper sapphire has better specs but I would prefer Hardlex if there is no AR. My SKX007 uses Hardlex and no scratches but more legible. I would buy this watch if it used Hardlex.

@@watchreviews4k thank you so much! I bought this clasp and want to fit it to my khaki king but the bracelet will not work with it. I was going to take the bracelet from a pagani watch and do some modifications, trying to keep as much of the hamilton bracelet as possible while making it work.
PD-1716 ou PD1692 Qual o melhor?
PD-1716. Regards, #WR4K
digital vernier?
I measure every watch I review with a digital vernier caliper. See link below to the one I use. The blades are made from hardened plastic rather than steel, so don't mark the watch. Regards, #WR4K

@@watchreviews4k i guess thats what they call them. Me? I thought there were three types, venier, dial, and digital.
Having not seen a digital caliper with a vernier scale I was confused.
See below
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernier_scale
The correct name for this type is "digital vernier caliper" as stated. Without the digital display it is a "vernier caliper". Regards, #WR4K
it's good for a 15cm wrist?
Yes Salvo. Regards, #WR4K
Ok, thanks you!
@@salvoleone4503 does it fit your wrist?
ordered one, greatly dissapointed as it came with a solid back case lid instead of a crystal one.
Sorry to hear that Mau. That is strange as all PD-1716 models should have exhibition case backs. Please can you email me a picture of the case back? watchreviews4k@gmail.com
Regards, #WR4K
@@XjohnjohnX88 I was thinking the same, perhaps Mau ordered a PD-1692 as that has a solid stainless steel case back. Regards, #WR4K
@@iluvj00 for sure. We all have our grail watches and now I have most of mine since I just bought the Sinn 857 UTC Pilots watch and WOW I love it!! But as I write this I’m wearing my Wolbrook diver baby blue dial😂🤣 go figure😵💫🤪?!?!?
Date ruins the whole point of the watch. San Martin also just came out with the BB36 homage in their Exp 36 -homage colourways.
The Tiffany dial version doesn't have a date. Agreed, it would look better without a date complication as per the Black Bay 36. Regards, #WR4K
Why is the wrong crown on that watch? A BB36 homage should have a crown like the BB58. This looks odd....
Agreed, it would look better with a larger crown as per the Black Bay 36. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k I wrote in the end of Jan to Pagani if they think to produce this watch in the nearer future and told em how it should be. After a positive message I waited now for some weeks, but since yesterday I am very disappointed. This is a half way homage and I hope that PD will announce sooner or later a V2 of the 1716.
.... And I am more disappointed that PD didn't answer me anymore after my idea of that watch. At least a free example would be nice ;-)
Pagani designs are good only if you really don't have the budget or if you just want a watch to play around with. I'd pay more for a san martin or cronos, just speaking from my experience, I bought a pagani design pepsi homage, it was good for a month, then I started to regret not buying the cronos version
Somehow it look really weird. I wonder because of the camera angle or bezel is too huge.
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
low quality polishing...
@@sayazdir Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
Its a shame about the specs war on Ali Express watches. On paper sapphire has better specs but I would prefer Hardlex if there is no AR. My SKX007 uses Hardlex and no scratches but more legible. I would buy this watch if it used Hardlex.
Thank you for watching Wai. Regards, #WR4K
What the hell is a digital caliperpervonya? do you mean digital calipermeter?
