Your videos keep getting better and better, thanks for posting them. I really like the on-board video, it really gives you an idea what the bike must be like to ride. My favorite is when you all gather round and talk about the bikes. You guys are cool.
This is THE Bike to have I think, it actually enhances our skills not dulls them. The electronics from these are a step in the direction of road biased race systems (Stunning). Can't wait till every bike has a version of this, like cars with ABS/Traction now even cheap cars have simple but good versions.
Bought a '17 Tuono last week and it's sitting in my garage now. Thanks to all you reviewers for emptying my wallet, haha. Haven't even taken it around the block though, it's been cold, rainy and snowing in Cleveland. Maybe tomorrow.
i would like to see bikes like the bmw K 1300 R in those group tests ..it made a good impression to me but there is just really few information about it around.
Congratulations to Aprilia. Having spent some time around a RSV4-R, this bike is truly a different riding experience and the V60 Tuono I have is looking slightly less shiny now...
Is it just me or does the Aprilia look like an RSV4 that you've just crashed, and while you're waiting for the spare fairings you couldn't resist to take it out for one more spin?
I can see a lack of really great supernakeds in this comparison. BMW K 1300 R, Suzuki B-King, new Kawasaki Z 1000, Benelli TNT 1130 Sport Evo... All of these bikes are great nakeds so it's pretty sad that they weren't considered for this comparison.
Because this seemed to be a comparison between European bikes, the Z1000 would not have fit. Then again, it also seemed like all were supposed to be naked bikes, so the KTM was also a little out of place. I agree, the Z1000 needed to have a hand in this one. I might have also liked to see a BMW thrown in for good measure, and maybe even one of Benelli's TNT models (even if just for the looks, yikes, that is a sexy bike!). Still a pretty nice group of bikes.
@knocknockwhothere I don't know what I'm talking about? I've been riding KTM's for years, buddy. The Superduke handles more like a large supermoto than a "upright superbike." And if you throw some offroad tires on it, it will handle fire roads and light offroading with ease. Hell, I've even seen a Yamaha R1 that did fine in the woods and trails with some minor mods.
i'VE HAD THREE V4S,AND A WHOLE ARRAY OF INLINE FOURS. ,RANGING FROM 100 TO 185 BHP.tHE EASIEST TO WHEELIE WAS THE hONDA x11 ; THE HARDEST-CROSS THAT OUT-THE NEXT EASIEST,THE MIGHTY SUZUKI MADURA 1200
The Tuono V4R APRC has a 167 HP and the Brutale 1090RR has a 144 HP and they both just top 165 mph flast out. The Brutale 1090RR is a smoother ride than the Ducati. Sure you weren't reviewing the Brutale 1078RR (154 HP)? And you're seriously going to rate the more pedestrian speed triple 1050 r above the Brutale 1090RR or the Streetfighter S in a super naked comparison? If you think the Brutale is too powerful it's a good job you weren't riding the Benelli TNT R160!
@knocknockwhothere Quote: "the Superduke R has nothing at all to do with dirt or rough roads" Except for its entire lineage, and the fact that KTM has been building offroad bikes for years, and the fact that the motor is derived from a Dakar-racer? I think it is you who doesn't know what they are talking about...
KTM still wins in my book. Screw all the fancy electronics. give me that big, brutish, Austrian V-twin and the dirtbike handlebars... I'd like to see those boys at MCN try and take that Aprilia offroad through some dirt and rough-stuff! The superduke will eat it up and ask for more!
Even though this was for euro super naked bikes. I'm telling you. Sometime soon the Kawasaki z will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes, and it will be the best naked of all.
WHY BUY A NAKED BIKE YHEN TEST AND RATE THEM ROUND A TRACK "LIKE MOST PEOPLE RATE AND COMMENT THESE TYPE OF VIDEOS "! JUST KEEP OR BUY A SPORTS BIKE????????????
The MV has too much power ? .... Hang doesn't the Aprilia have more power? Aprilia comfortable ? As long as your 5 foot 2 maybe, the thing is tiny. Lots of electronic aids (Italian electronics = unreliable) Come on guys stop being magpies and going for the newest thing, didn't you say something similar about the RSV4 about how good a road bike when that first came out and then changed your mind a couple of months later? Launch control? It's a bike not a bloody Ferrari
Had a 2014 one for 3 years, still love it to pieces and it was reviews like this that made me want one :)
2023 and still relevant 🤩🤘

I'd vote for the aprilla for first, that v4 sound is addictive..

So you bought the tuono a couple years ago. Do you still have?
i would like to see bikes like the bmw K 1300 R in those group tests ..it made a good impression to me but there is just really few information about it around.
i dont understand the wheelie controll feature because it seems even with it the bike wheelies quite well?
Anytime you see "Aprilia" in a comparison just know that it wins.
Congratulations to Aprilia. Having spent some time around a RSV4-R, this bike is truly a different riding experience and the V60 Tuono I have is looking slightly less shiny now...

They didn't compare the price of the bikes, which is very important!!
What do I need to do to get a job like this. I wouldn't even want paying lol
Oddly enough, my Ducati has never had a single problem, while my co-worker's 675 has had nothing but electrical problems.

what happens if one of those space shuttle electronic gimmics fail? does it explode?
What are lap times?
Speed is my #1 , great bike
nice video mate! as always :D
Aprilia Tuono V4R: AWESOME to ride, ugly front, missing ABS and touring seat...

Tuono is beautiful, but the speed and street triples are everyday livable, and weekend manic hooligan fun.
I'll have the traktor in the back, thank you :D
@dimebag579 you can turn that feature off
Agreed, I'd take the triumph all day long. Turnover is
good test good video, good work
What's with the cutting out half way through a wor

Tuono V4 are probobly faster than all the others in "R" mode/map :)
lets get one thing right...there is no such thing as "too much power"
just bought one lol cant wait

for looks i think the ducati is the most pleasing, seconded by the triumph. i dont really like the aprillias half-superbike looks...
KTM still wins in my book.

Where is the B-King???
@casterofchaos There was a toss up on which pig ugly bike should take part ,the B-king or the Tuono, the tuono won.
I must agree. And I own one.
only 20sec of riding action but 5.5 mins of talking?
so thats MCN bike review huh?
I envy there Job!!!
:)

FAIL!! The guys on the Ducati and Triumph can't wheelie!! And they did try if you look closer....

Where is the Kawasaki z1000 ??????
No Kawasaki?
I would DIE for ANY of these bikes!!!
It is one of the bad sides of living in the 3rd World and being poor...

Thumbs up if your heart belongs to the Speed Triple.
