  • Oprah Winfrey is honoring her late father. The media mogul shared the emotional eulogy she wrote for her father Vernon Winfrey, who passed away at the age of 89 earlier this month. "Death is a great teacher. I learned a lot just sitting in the room, watching life seep from my father’s body. Breathing with him to measure his level of distress. 32 breaths a minute… 24 breaths a minute... and finally 9 breaths," she wrote.

    I hope she's doing ok!
    That's one of the toughest moments we'll ever have to face in our entire lives!
    I'm still so heartbroken and devastated at the loss of my father a year ago, it feels like it just happened yesterday, but also feels like it's been the longest year EVER!
    Definitely the most emotionally difficult year I've ever endured.

    Mr.Winfrey Was,Were A Great Man. I Could't Say A Bad Thing About Mr.Winfrey. I've Been To His Shop And Talk To Him. He Love The People Around Him. He Love His Community and The People in it. Mr.Winfrey will be miss by his community in east nashville and the rest of nashville. thank you Mr . Winfrey For Talks And Knowledge And The Love For His Community

      You make it sound like "he took her in, out of the kindness of his heart"
