I watched this broad on CNN today saying how there was nothing else the police could have done differently. Actually there was. Firstly they went to apprehend a wanted felon, they could have staked out the premises and waited till he was outside the door or in a vehicle before taking him down when he's least expecting it, not announcing themselves and letting the perp get ready. Secondly since they went at it from a knock-knock action, the cops could have employed a ballistic shield and not stood in front of a wooden door, but stacked up against the wall where there is brick and concrete, less likely to penetrate than a wooden door. Thirdly when the officer was shot and laying there not one officer attempted to drag him to safety, they were ll just firing over him. Fourthly I seen the body cam footage and the one cops kept reloading after firing like five rounds and he was doing some amateur reloads. These cops got lazy and sloppy that is why one of them died. Ya the suspect had a weapon too but that's to be expected.
