Alex, what you and Molly have built with the channel is a genuine gift to a community which doesn't always deserve it. Your relentless positivity, kindness, respectfulness, and geniality makes this simply the finest Star Wars channel on RUclips. I'll echo the others by saying that I'd also love more 'Everything I Love About...' videos, if you can find the time for them.
Yes! So over the hate for this show. It wasn’t perfect and it had its slow moments, but I definitely feel that the highs more than made up for the parts that were somewhat lacking, and the entire season worked extremely well as a whole thematically. And I have not gotten the final theme song FETT!! out of my head for the past two weeks
I thoroughly appreciate this kind of content. I’d love to see more “everything I loved about” videos for each of the films and other series. It’s refreshing to focus on what we liked about the content sometimes
The more critical part of my brain was only mildly bothered by some of the odd structural issues with the show. I think if I have fun with something Star Wars that’s all that matters.
It’s because social media and RUclipsrs tend to focus on the stuff that’s not the best. That’s what I like about Star Wars Explained. They don’t focus just on the meh moments of Star Wars they look at it as a fan.
Never understand why a lot of people seem to hate BOBF even more than the sequels. Sure there are some bad parts but I think it's prequel-kind of bad (you can get the idea/vision behind it) yet they love prequels and hate this
Great idea for a video! Negativity and the "what I hate about this show," videos are like a pandemic online. It's nice to see you focus and what you loved about it. What I most love about this era of Star Wars content is that we're getting it, and getting it regularly. Good channel, and a great show. Keep 'em coming!
This is why we love your channel Alex. You always find the good in whatever very vocal minority of Star Wars fan's want to bash totally. I must admit I've had to un-sub a few other channels due to their constant negativity. PS: It was great to see you up on stage during SWCC with the other star wars hosts. Thank you for everything you do for this community.
OK I get that Alex being so positive about the show is definitely a good thing and refreshing when everyone is critizicing too much, but the "very vocal minority" bit is just wrong. And it reflects for example on the episodes' score on imdb
My dad was SO excited to see a ring world in _Star Wars._ We paused the episode so he could explain the concept to me and my brother, and we ended up discussing it for about 15 minutes. I also really loved the ant droids. The idea of white, animal-looking machines performing tasks in a forest reminded me a lot of _Horizon Zero Dawn,_ my favourite videogame ever, as did the look of the Scorpeneks.
I would like to highlight three things: 1) The bond they are forging between Mando and Boba, something that was there since Fett was that figure in the shadow in the first season of Favreau and Filoni, and that after the culmination as brothers in arms in the last episode I have the feeling is the beginning of one of the historical relationships of the saga. 2) How they are building, I think for the first time in the saga, a story of reconstruction, something that seems especially appropriate after the end of the ST and the victory against the dark side that this left us. 3) Everything they did with the Tusken, maintaining the parallel paths that seem to be increasingly clear between Anakin and Boba Fett. I would add having given prominence to the Gamorreans, but I have not yet recovered from their resolution
It’s nice to see positive things focused on with this show. It was a fun show and it was trying to change the way we see a bad guy. Even Boba can change. I want to see more Boba. I really hope the continuation doesn’t get cancelled. I also like the Han Solo movie. Fans are really so picky and a lot of this new Star Wars is really entertaining.
THANK YOU! I kept making the point that this is supposed to be behaving LIKE A BOOK and that you should treat it like that. People kept going into this with expectations and demands and were mad they weren't catered to. If you take this as an extension of the Mandalorian and the start wars universe as a whole? ESPECIALLY THE CLONE WARS??? It's got a LOT to like about it! It made me sad seeing so much hate for it online that I didn't REALLY get to enjoy it thoroughly until I'd watched it with multiple other fans across two sittings and was able to see a larger amount of agreement that this was great fun with a lot of good story beats!
There was a lot to like. It is very nice to hear positive viewpoints about this really enjoyable show. I read a lot of the 'Legends' books with Boba Fett in them growing up. He never struck me as a horrible person, just a very calculative person who was very good at his job. It would stand to reason that a near-death experience would make him want to rethink his life, and the kindness of the sand people taking him in made a deep impression on him, changing his personality a bit. I rather liked the arc, and I hope we get more content for Boba Fett in the future.
Good to see this format, please make more vids in that style! So tired of "sins", "top 10 worst moments", "why X sucks" and all the other negativity-fueled vids. I know that negativity fuels the "clicks" and brings more engagement, but why, oh, why would I want to watch and listen to an angry, snarky dude who just wants to berate things I love? I had my grandfather for that purpose.
Thank you so much for showing this show some love! I really enjoyed SO MUCH from the Book of Boba, and watching SO many Star Wars fans hate on it was upsetting me. Thank you for being such a JOY to watch Alex and Molly! You 2 are some of my favorite Star Wars Creators!
I love the campfire chats between Boba and Fennec. I thought it was a great way to lay the groundwork, from first to third chat, how they got on the same page, as well as showing Fennec's character development from lone, hired assassin to a full partner in Boba's vision for Mos Espa to the point where she is the one pointing out to him, "If not us, then who." And I love that moment at the end between them where Boba prevails but then has a very real moment of doubting whether he is the right man to assume the role he set for himself. I like that Boba is secure enough to have this moment and share it with Fennec and I love that the show allowed the audience to see it, and it wasn't some typical uber-hero moment of brandishing a sword as he sits upon a throne. Instead, the whole show is a subversion of that trope in that it starts with the throne moment and the rest of the show is him earning it, which manifests as him walking down the road, respected by the people, getting fruit from grateful children and having a laugh with his friends who are there because they want to be, not because he is a crime boss. I know many people thought this negated the whole journey, but just the opposite...for anyone who has moved onto a second career or attempted and succeeded to change their lives in some way, that line about not being suited for this just plays as the hope that he is able to live up to the goals he set for himself in this new role, one very different from his old one.
I love love LOVED this take. Hardly anything in this world is perfect, so if there are some flaws in what brings us joy, so be it. I’m just so thrilled that we’re getting so much content in so many different media.
Grogu in the Astromech bubble was infinitely more adorable than I imagined it would be because he kept tapping on the glass begging Din to use the speed boost. Such a great father-son moment
My feelings about how fans or viewers responds to Star Wars shows is the same. Theres more action related entertainment in video games and streaming shows that makes people not understanding to Star Wars message in there shows. I think certain fans expected Book of Boba to be like John Wick or even some of the Star Wars games. Loved this series start to finish and actually saw the first season 3 times.
I'm so happy to see someone who loves the series as much as I do. I loved all of these same things. I cannot fathom the hate that the show has gotten from "fans". It just smacks of entitlement and misguided expectations, not to mention short memories, ffs people, tRoS was 3 years ago and for a lot of fans that felt like the bottom of the Star Wars barrel but then we got the finale of Clone Wars and the Mandalorian. We've got it very good as Star Wars fans if people can complain about a series that gave us this much awesome Star Wars wish fulfillment. Smh.
I hope you do more of the “everything I love in “_______.” I really loved the Rise of Skywalker video and I also really like this video. I think I just like hearing someone talk about literally all of the small and big things they like in Star Wars
A man of culture! I'm a huge fan of Ithorians, we're looong overdue for one to be a main character. I had hoped the mayor would fulfill this role but alas... I love Momaw Nadon's backstory and ever since the Kenobi show was announced I have been secretly hoping Momaw Nadon would be one of the side characters that appear in it and that we would get an episode of Kenobi interacting with Momaw in his oasis.
I loved this series from beginning to end. I didn't have as many mixed feelings as others, there was some stuff I admit was odd that it was included but by the end, I feel like I understood why they did include it. I love that the show made me care about Boba and what it did for his character. I've always liked him and his story but he's never been my favourite. Now he is and I felt so rewarded as a fan of the prequels and The Clone Wars with the series taking everything about him into account. I love how much new stuff we learned about Tatooine. I know it's a planet we've seen a million times and people get a bit mad whenever it comes up but something about it in this series felt so fresh and exciting. It's like we were seeing a whole new side to the planet with Garsa and the Sanctuary, the Mods and Mos Espa's criminal factions. Same goes with the Tuskens, I love how much depth they got in this series, again it all felt like a great new spin on Tatooine. And in the final battle, I loved that we got everyone from all sides of Tatooine stepping up to defend their home, we had Boba and his crew, of course, the Mods, who represent the citizens of Mos Espa, the citizens of Freetown and even Peli, a citizen of Mos Eisley, was joined in the fight. I loved that symbolism. I also loved how it connected all types of Star Wars media: the history of the Darksaber from Rebels, Black Krrsantan from the comics and, of course, Cad Bane from TCW, whose inclusion was spectacular. I was on edge every time he was on screen and I mean that in the best way
When I hear that Din’s Story is an interlude to the Book of Boba Fett. I feel like the series Book of Boba Fett is an interlude to the Mandolorian. I have a feeling when all is said and done people will look back on this series better when they have the whole picture.
Boba riding a rancor was pretty Awesome and crazy at the same time Seeing an Rx Droid cus of Star Tours 😅 Ahsoka and Luke interacting Grogu Flipping around and seeing his Point of View of Order 66 The season finale Cad Bane Finally seeing Boba getting out in the sarlacc pit in Canon And I'm cool with the flashbacks black Krrsantan fight in episode 3 Boba getting to do some blasting and blowing up with Mando in the finale BD Droid Fallen Order reference Mando coming back in episode 5 was mind blowing
...that almost showdown between Din and the Marshal when Cobb asks Din if they're going to fight in front of the kid...and Din...looking over at Grogu...says..."he's seen worse"...
You give AMAZING assessments and it was superlative. I agree VERBATIM! I love Star Wars and I cannot wait for the Mandalorian season 3, the Kenobi series, and maybe even a second season of Boba.
Thank you for making this and injecting some positivity into the Star Wars universe. I watch your critical stuff, too, but I really appreciate just this one full of only love.
There were so many great moments in this show! I have minor issues with it, but the real test is I looked forward to it every Wednesday, and miss having new episodes. Also, how could you not love the mod parlor scene with Fennec?
I absolutely love this show. My all time favourite of any thing Star Wars. Ive watched it 9 times in total now. I love that you made a video about loving it. Yes it had its you know flaws but everything does. But it was great I think it needs more love
The Tusken in 6:18 just had his or her life altered.🤣🤣🤣 Am I the only person who appreciates the severity of this situation?😳😳😳 That Tusken will never be the same again. I can't stop laughing because surely this wasn't intended as a joke but to a Star Wars nut who is also a stoner... it's comedic gold... priceless.
They did Boba Fett Justice..They turned him into a multidimensional character, and provided him reason to rise above continuing to be a bounty hunter..He is now in charge of a whole city and he is a leader now!
I loved the flashbacks, Boba escaping the Sarlaac, all his scenes with the Tusken warrior, all his scenes with Fennec, the train heist, him making his gaffi stick, him petting the Rancor, the Mods, Krrsantan, Garsa Fwip, Majordomo, that dinner with all the Mos Espa, Boba and Din fighting together, Boba riding the Rancor, Cobb Vanth, Cad Bane, Bobs vs Cad Bane and I also loved the soundtrack of the show. I think I loved a lot :)
I love the possibilities and future this show creates. Boba says that he isn't cut out for this, so hopfully we get him and his gang into space doing more of what we expected yet we still get to explore Tatoine with Cobb Vanth with some great stories. Hopefully we will get another duel with him and Cad Bane. I can say more but this book kicks off a great future for Star Wars.
So wonderful seeing a video celebrating all the good in something instead of tediously pointing out all the bad in it like that trainwreck of a channel CinemaSins
So. The whole Beggar's Canyon sequence made me freakin' cry. While it's often panned, I loved Phantom Menace. Saw it five times in the movies... a sixth when the 3D version came out... I can quote than one better then all the others, I'm sure. Anyhoo, seeing Din in a FREAKIN' N1 and seeing Din and Star Wars go back through the twists and turns of the Canyon... well, I teared up and bawled the whole way through it. And Chapter 2, as someone from Aotearoa New Zealand and seeing so much of the struggle of the Maori people through colonisation, I loved everything about Boba's journey with the Tuskens. Mauri ora, mauri mate!
"Fennec's Ship was a Starship owned by the bounty hunter Fennec Shand at the beginning of the Imperial Era. Shand travelled to Pantora in the ship after being tipped off by a contact that Omega, a child whom she had been hired to retrieve, was on the moon."
The scooter gang has grown on me. They weren’t implemented very well, I felt, but I like the idea that Tatooine would have a class of young people who wanted to try and dress and act like the “cool kids” on Coruscant, even if it wasn’t practical. Wasting water cleaning their bikes, for instance, as is implied.
I utterly love the ‘Jedi Architecture’ and that they’re keeping it in the series. As an Irishman I adore seeing a part of my history and culture being well used in Star Wars, and for the same purpose as the monks back in the Middle Ages too
Pretty much same here for all counts. But I also would add I love the Mods. I think they are arguably the most George Lucasy thing to happen in Star Wars since the prequels. I love the double entendre and the parallels to real life counterculture. And I’ve always been a fan of Italian scooters 😅 so maybe I’m biased.
I also like the mods, even if they felt "out of place" on Tatooine. But he, in a show with 3 separate "biker gangs" (yes I'm counting the tuskens) gotta differentiate somehow haha
Loved this video. While there are some things I think could have been done better, a lot of people around me and you tubers are toasting the f out the series but while I was watching this video I was realizing how awesome even the little things are to see. Great positive video:)
I have to add from my last comment that I LOVED episode 7. It's the first time I yelled at the TV in quite a while. It stressed me out! 🤣 And that very first glimpse of Boba on the Rancor was awesome sauce!!
Thank you! This is such a wonderful and informative Star Wars site and this review was outstanding. I am in the dumps over the apparent cancellation of TBOBF. I am aware of the series short comings. However I believe that the series deserved a second season. Keep up the great work!
It really made sense why Boba Fett didn't understand the idea of water being not for free, as it was definitely plentiful enough to justify just giving it out to people on Kamino.
I definitely love a lot of the same stuff as what you listed, but I also particularly enjoyed both Driving Instructor Boba and the tribal dance in episode 2!!
I still enjoyed the series and it was definitely a fun ride. If it had one or 2 more episodes I think it would have felt more complete. Lots of fan service which was also appreciated. The Manalorian Lore was amazing.
That there where so many Twileks in the show including the majors Mayordomo and the Sanctuary folks. Id also liked the guy in the front centre of the Hutts carrige team whom struggled with standing up cause of the weight of his burdon. Now I dont know if its all acting or if he really was struggling but its such a great atention to details. Johan.
NGL, the scene that gave me the MOST anxiety was Mando being forced to remove all his weapons including the dark Saber before boarding the ship, I was like, uh oh, Space TSA is gonna lose ALL HIS STUFF 😄
I knew it! That cantina scene is so Robert Rodriguez, you can see him as the Bith playing Cantina Latina theme with his little guitar. When I first seen it I was like that totally had to be Robert, and now you just pointed it out to me and its confirmed. This is nuts and cool, i was event contemplating sending a super chat, and seeing how its actually confirmed i should have. Now im waiting for the behind the scenes to see if they confirm Dins super engine sound when he revs it up is a sound byte taken straight from American Graffiti. Thats ganna be awesome, but yup dins super engine sound is exactly the same as the engines used anerican graffiti, you can easily compare especially when its the drag race scene(on youtube), they are exactly the same engine sounds when they are revved up sorta like How Hans ship when it stalls is taken from an actual plane stalling 😆
#1 for me: Ahsoka and Luke. Hope we see more of that at some point. As someone who grew up with the Clone Wars, that was something I never thought we would see on screen- much less in live action.
i get why you like to see those two characters together but their actual conversation was weird and generic, luke says something completely random that anakin never said and ashoka just spits out “youre so much like your father” maybe cool to see but it’s done weirdly, pretty generic writing just relying on people freaking out at seeing them together
I loved the BoBF series. There's a lot of haters out that but I think they nailed the story. We are so spoilt today with what they can do with the special effects and great writers. Let's remember these are TV shows and not movies. Nice to see some positive reviews.
I loved the series wholeheartedly too. It's a beautiful story about a cold-hearted bounty hunter becoming something I never thought he'd be: a good man. And that's a common theme we all love in Star Wars. It felt unreal to see Luke both beat Vader, and then turn him back to the Light Side with his compassion... Same with experiencing Kylo Ren turning back to the Light. Like, Kylo becomes a whole different person when he's Ben Solo again, without his Ren suit and wielding the blaster given to him by Lando in his childhood and finally being able to wield the Skywalker lightsaber in his final fight.

Cad Bane
Finally seeing Boba getting out in the sarlacc pit in Canon
And I'm cool with the flashbacks
black Krrsantan fight in episode 3
Boba getting to do some blasting and blowing up with Mando in the finale
BD Droid Fallen Order reference
Mando coming back in episode 5 was mind blowing
Happy to see a positive video on this topic! There has been so much smoke
...that almost showdown between Din and the Marshal when Cobb asks Din if they're going to fight in front of the kid...and Din...looking over at Grogu...says..."he's seen worse"...
I love everything about Book of Boba Fett. It's not a bad of a series because of one guy.
I've worked out why I love pelli so much, she reminds me of my grandma
This is some of my favorite star wars. I am defending this show to the death!
I can't stop laughing because surely this wasn't intended as a joke but to a Star Wars nut who is also a stoner... it's comedic gold... priceless.
Thanks, Alex! 🥰 Your *focus* determines your reality.
Cool recap! I have to agree with most of those wholeheartedly!
Thanks for the fantastically positive video.
They did Boba Fett Justice..They turned him into a multidimensional character, and provided him reason to rise above continuing to be a bounty hunter..He is now in charge of a whole city and he is a leader now!
I loved this series and really appreciated this video!
I’m pretty sure the tall gonk-looking droid is a KT Power Droid!
so happy there is a video about it thats good. cuz just like the sequels everyone loves to hate it, and not appreciate the good.
Thank you; I much rather hear about the things you like rather than hear about what you didn’t like, or what disappointed you...
Peli's reaction to Grogu's name was like young Han's reaction to Chewie's name when they first met.
Has anyone talked about how the Chief and the Female Tusken Warrior serve as the template for who Boba and Fennec are becoming?
That is genius
I really like this video idea. So many Star Wars “fans” are so negative I cringe when someone says they’re a fellow fan
I really hope we get more of this new Boba. Something more in the moral grey is really interesting in Star wars
Positive and kindness!! Star Wars community needs you! Thank you for your service! Lets not take the fun out of such a fun universe!
I absolutely love this video. There’s not enough of them like it.
Love how positive you keep your channel!
We all did a general kenobi when we saw the kitchen droid spinning the knives. I don’t have evidence, but I don’t have any doubts either
"Fennec's Ship was a Starship owned by the bounty hunter Fennec Shand at the beginning of the Imperial Era. Shand travelled to Pantora in the ship after being tipped off by a contact that Omega, a child whom she had been hired to retrieve, was on the moon."
Cad bane above all else, hope my boy is still alive 🤞🏻
The scooter gang has grown on me. They weren’t implemented very well, I felt, but I like the idea that Tatooine would have a class of young people who wanted to try and dress and act like the “cool kids” on Coruscant, even if it wasn’t practical. Wasting water cleaning their bikes, for instance, as is implied.
I utterly love the ‘Jedi Architecture’ and that they’re keeping it in the series. As an Irishman I adore seeing a part of my history and culture being well used in Star Wars, and for the same purpose as the monks back in the Middle Ages too
This is the way.
Seeing Kersanthian and cad bane were the highlights for me
What i also love about this awesome show is the music.
Looking forward to Kenobi
Brilliant commentary
The Manalorian Lore was amazing.
that’s a lot to love in a 7 episode series of mixed reaction overall.
Sets up a one off Book of Cobb Vanth flashback episode .. maybe that's asking too much
"I love this tall gentleman"
That there where so many Twileks in the show including the majors Mayordomo and the Sanctuary folks.
Id also liked the guy in the front centre of the Hutts carrige team whom struggled with standing up cause of the weight of his burdon. Now I dont know if its all acting or if he really was struggling but its such a great atention to details. Johan.
NGL, the scene that gave me the MOST anxiety was Mando being forced to remove all his weapons including the dark Saber before boarding the ship, I was like, uh oh, Space TSA is gonna lose ALL HIS STUFF 😄
I love that "like a a bantha" was an ad lib.
I wonder if Rangers of the New Republic is still gonna be a thing, and will focus on, maybe Carson and the new guy, or, dare I say, Cobb Vanth?
Thank you for highlighting the positive aspects of the series, as there were many. I dare the other talking heads to do the same.
Good video!
Q&A do you think Bryce Dallas Howard could and should direct a Star Wars film at some point in the future?
I agree. I really enjoyed this show for the very most part.
3:57 the Mayor's clerk kind of reminds me of Master Zez Kai-Ell from KOTOR 2
3:51 the clerk looks like a bus driver
I really don't understand the overall hate for this series you star wars fans are hard to satisfy. I'm just happy to enjoy live action star wars.
Please keep talking about droids!!! I love them. I would want merchandise of the Drummer as well
Much prefer these videos to those channels that are like ‘EVERYTHING WRONG WITH…’
#1 for me: Ahsoka and Luke. Hope we see more of that at some point.
As someone who grew up with the Clone Wars, that was something I never thought we would see on screen- much less in live action.
i get why you like to see those two characters together but their actual conversation was weird and generic, luke says something completely random that anakin never said and ashoka just spits out “youre so much like your father”
maybe cool to see but it’s done weirdly, pretty generic writing just relying on people freaking out at seeing them together
@@crunchysalmons I just hope we get to see their first meeting in the Ahsoka series or somewhere.
Awesome
