The original KFC in the 1980’s tasted totally different. There was also a very addictive saltiness on the chicken skin. The original kfc now tasted nothing like what it used to be in the 1980’s. Not even close. It’s like someone has misplaced the original recipe and created something totally different to cover up.
This is a story that I need to uplift my spirit and morale. I just got fired yesterday and I am now looking for better job opportunities. I thought at 32 it was the end of the world for me but the Colonel's perserverance really inspired me to keep on going.
There’s way too much pressure on young people to succeed early. More often than not success comes with wisdom, not youth. The only reason we hear about young people becoming successful so often is precisely because it is NOT the norm. Pick up your feet, make a plan, be willing to adapt and change, and you’ll hit the mark, friend. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Just do you.

Exciting? It sounds like a grueling, disastrous, terrible life - up until he began seeing success very late in life. Life was extremely rough for so many in his era, especially if you only had one parent or both parents died. There was no protection either for child abuse, so even if kids were fortunate enough to live in a household with financial security, they still could be living a life of hell and the state wouldn’t do a thing about it. Not only were the children made to work when living in poverty, but then to miss out on getting an education to boot really limited one’s opportunities in life. Sanders suffered a lot because of this. 99.9% of people in his position in life (where they lacked a healthy/secure/loving/educated foundation) would just end up as a drunkard wandering hobo, and/or living a life of crime, and die an early meaningless death with no one to mourn them. Sanders couldn’t hold down any of his crappy jobs for the life of him, thus he couldn’t successfully provide for his family by the time he somehow managed to pull off snagging a wife/making a family, and damn near went to prison because it sounds like he was a bit of an irrational hothead for threatening to shoot someone just because they had painted over his signage. this just shows how many times we get kicked down in life you must get up and keep moving forward. sanders got kicked down so many times and yet he kept pushing forward to his dreams.
Learn from Sanders, if you have a business that you treat like your own child, don't let other people buy it, despite the first owner swears of not changing KFC, he doesn't care if the second owner changes anything
I think there are a lot of flaws in the timeline. His second restaurant failed when he was 65 and he had nothing. Then he goes on a trip and gets someone to franchise in 1952. That would make him 62. That’s doesn’t line up. The whole video has this.
4:29 Haha "hot biscuits", you put the wrong image for biscuits, he would have served the big fluffy bread style ones as Americans know them, not a small cookie style biscuit like you would in the UK

Well Done and I will keep watching. Ps. Not criticism, just honest comment from someone who has been in the pro video industry for 35+years. Well done mate!!
The research that must go in to these videos man! Awesome video
Just from the intro it's gonna be a banger. Criminally underrated channel
nowadays, success has to be overnight. We can learn a lot from this old man.
dude the videos keep getting better in editing, please continue this
What a legend. A true icon of hard work and integrity. Gave so much till the end.
As someone who’s 42, recently fired and struggling…this was a great video to watch.
I got a KFC ad on a video about how KFC got sued, the things in this world are truly amazing.
Sometimes it can seem redundant that dropping out of school is stupid but sometimes if examine some of the most successful entrepreneurs or business leaders and you can almost undoubtedly see that school doesn't appeal to everyone
I think it must really hurt to see your creation get destroyed. I don't blame him for getting angry. I want the original KFC! Along with the original McDonalds, Taco Bell, ect. before they started cutting corners!
Ikr? I had KFC in the not too distant past and it was just an oil slick with crumbs, in some ways it's good to know the old man is gone so he couldn't see this golden egg rot this far.
It’s hard to get quality anything nowadays. My parents still have the mixing bowls they got for their wedding almost 50 years ago. Now you can’t even buy that quality, it’s cheap Chinese crap, slightly better Chinese crap, or nothing.
@@GamerFromJump So true, I've resorted to goodwill stores for the old crockery simply because I know it will last and won't cost me a home loan to acquire.
It's so sad he had to sue the company he created
Bro u deserve a lot of views for the work you put into your videos...binged watched most of your videos...thanks for the work u put into your vids...much loves to you man!😍
Never let failure get you down, Keep on going you get there someday.
Im plant based but after watching this I want to go to Claudia Sanders Diner House to try the original recipe.
2:40 I think you made a typo there. It says "AMRY" instead of "ARMY"
Anyways another great production as always
I was in the 'AMRY'
You are an amazing story teller and these edits are insane bro keep it up fr
I cant wait for the founder of RUclips to sue RUclips for their horrible updates
I wish that would happen
They [YT founders] are incomprehensibly wealthy, so they don't give af lol, I wouldn't either with that kind of wealth.
@@nogrammer It was most likely a joke, troll.
I love listening to you , Your voice is so calming , with my Ashdod and all my other issues it’s hard for me You have allowed me to enjoy your platform!!! So grateful for you , One Love Health for you always
You're doing great! Hard work clearly pays off. Quality over quantity. I bet your channel grows faster than you anticipate. 👍
Wow, I've noticed with big companies starting out had humble beginnings, until its sold off...Then they start changing and doing things the original founder/founders never wanted...

this just shows how many times we get kicked down in life you must get up and keep moving forward. sanders got kicked down so many times and yet he kept pushing forward to his dreams.
I wonder what the original kfc recipe tastes like. ❤
Kfc quality in the philippines is VERY bad. 😭
even here in South Africa it's the quality is droppinng every year.
you can still taste the original recipe at Claudia Sanders Dinner House.
@@sanele. In South Africa it depends on the location. The usual error is undercooking which leads to oiliness.
The original taste actually tastes like true tasty chicken, with perfect amount of salt, not discount plastic chicken with too much oil.
What how it's bad I loved it and the gravy too despite I saw only one branch here in Zamboanga city
This channel should be recognized by Netflix frazer you sre underrated i like yur documentaries and editing
You truly create great videos👍
I LOVE your channel so far!!!! Please keep doing these!
Learn from Sanders, if you have a business that you treat like your own child, don't let other people buy it, despite the first owner swears of not changing KFC, he doesn't care if the second owner changes anything
Nice to know there is a place to get the true original chicken, over at Claudia Sanders’ Dinner House.
I think there are a lot of flaws in the timeline. His second restaurant failed when he was 65 and he had nothing. Then he goes on a trip and gets someone to franchise in 1952. That would make him 62. That’s doesn’t line up. The whole video has this.
It is told sort of weird and a bit out of order, but as far as I can tell the dates are mostly right.
Excellent video, thank you!
Thanks for renaming this video, I was never going to click on it until you actually explained it's a lawsuit. Good job.
Here in Canada they vastly reduced the salt content in the gravy, you just gotta add a little bit more to get back to the OG stuff
Canastan
4:29 Haha "hot biscuits", you put the wrong image for biscuits, he would have served the big fluffy bread style ones as Americans know them, not a small cookie style biscuit like you would in the UK
Sanders is a good example that as long as you are alive, you still have a shot at success in your life, even if that success finds you in your old age, the key is consistency and never giving up.
did you forget to add the fact that the Kentucky State was suing them, so they no longer can use "Kentucky" in their brand name?
Did not know that.
Hope Kentucky state wins it.
@@nishantshetty84 wtf why? Isn't the chicken from Kentucky? Sounds like they are suing because margins are low in this bear bullish economy with ever growing interest rates
Maybe they will rebrand as Kentuckey Fried Chicken
False. that article is under the repository of lost legends (TRoLL for short) meaning it is simply a hoax.
Phenomenal editing.
Wow unbelievable....... This needs to be a movie ✌
Your editing is second to none. Brilliant.
Such great content keep it up!
Damn bro he an og 90s kid and his passion commitment and drive just motivated me
I can't wait for the founder of RUclips to sue RUclips for accepting ads money from scamers
Godly editing and the flow was great

This channel is a blessing. Keep up the amazing work
Anyone else realize that all successful people have a tragic and horrible backstory?
I love the music in the background after each chapter
I never thought the founder of kfc was such a badass
F’ing awesome videos man, I love your narrations. Please keep them coming!
Holy shit. What a hard headed man. I heard he was a character, but I would be a piece of shit too if I had to go through that.

I am about to tell my age but I remember those KFC commercials with Colonel Sanders in it as a small child in the late 1970's-early 1980's just before he died. You should be able to find them all over the internet.
Just imagine the bullet didn't hit the manager and actually shot Colonel, the timeline would be different
For those wondering, Claudia Sanders Dinner House is in Shelbyville, KY. From what I hear, it’s amazing!
This guy is a living inspiration
Hate to be the first.. but he died years ago.
He was such a persevering man. Truly a great one.
KFC Prestige Holdings made over $810 million dollars in sales this year in Trinidad, yet this is the first time I have ever heard about the company getting sued. What gives?
Wauw this was very inspiring!!Goes to show you are not ever to old to reach your goals and enjoy it!!
thank you fr this great video!!
