Beautiful car incredibly stunning. Every component is like a work of art. The aesthetics totally outdo anything you will find in a modern car. Thank you for sharing!
I’m an African American so U know I love Cadillacs 😆 Seriously speaking this was like a history lesson for me. Cadillac has always been light years ahead of the curve in technological advances in the automobile industry. To see the headlights turning in the same direction that the driver is turning, in 1931 gives me goosebumps. I’ve owned three Cadillacs myself, & I loved all three of them. Here’s the best part...ALL AMERICAN! 👍🏿
Mark, that car is magnificent in every way. Actually saying it’s a car is unjustified, it is a phenomenal piece of art. You did a great job. Hope to see a segment showing that V16, that has to be amazing also.
🍁💙🇨🇦Absolute gem of a restoration… the colour is superb. An extremely classy look. Much respect indeed to all who worked on the car to bring it to Concourse level. A stunning ride to be enjoyed. A thrill of a lifetime.🇨🇦🍻
Lucky guy you to own that car. It took me 3 Yrs 7 months to rebuild a 1937 Plymouth. Took me over a yr to talk this lady to sell it to me. 2200 it cost me. Went back when I finished the car took her for a ride she cried asked what's wrong it was tears of joy to see her again and was proud of my work to have her looking good. Another fine car is a 1937 Buick this man owned when I was 13 Yrs old in 1963 my God what a beautiful car that was as nice as your Cadillac. Well made car. Yes got to ride in her once what a smooth riding car. Thanks on showing. Happy New Year.
Beautiful restoration of an amazing car, would love to see a feature on the Speedwell. Cadillac certainly was the standard of the world in the classic era.
A friend of mine owned a V16 1930’s Cadi. It purred like a kitten. I’m happy to see you show yours off. It’s almost the pinnacle of the era. Duseenburg , Packard, and Mormond, get recognition.
What a truly amazing car & video my friend. Cadillac has truly stood the test of time, & is respected worldwide. American engineering at its finest. I learned something here today. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏿
This is what real cars look like. An outstanding working piece of art. This car is gorgeous. You are a very lucky guy. Thanks for sharing your treasure.
I agree the front end is among the most beautiful of cars from that time. The car itself is nothing short of a work of art. The horn is the coolest I've ever heard. I'm in love.
This man, Mark Clayton, is the most perfectionist restorer of ANY American Automobile from 1900 thru the present, top to bottom, inside out.. Thanks, Mark !
Mark, that is just magnificent. Your attention to details is amazing. Sorry to hear about the chrome shop. I personally have not had this happen, but a friend of mine in Dayton Ohio went through the same kind of mess. I guess it comes with the territory. Thanks for the great video. Can't wait for the next one. Take care.
I got up close to one of these 1930's V-16 Cadillac covertables at the 2017 Lime Rock Historic races. There was a Concourse d'Elegance that had some beauties, but the best was the green on black Caddy.
Good evening. Haven't seen a video from you lately, always enjoy your interesting videos and facts. Must be real busy in the shop. Thanks for all the great videos, you take care.
Thanks very much. I have built a 1937 Cord Westchester sedan in 181 days. I have also filmed the whole thing including the history of the Auburn Automobile Co. It will be going to edit in a month or two and then hopefully out for viewing in the spring. Unfortunately RUclips is a platform that will drive me into bankruptcy. Thus these series will be available on my website and we will also be bringing all the restorations to you there. There are no sponsors, thus it is a paid site. I will be posting a sample of the material we are producing on here in a day or two.
Jack's Auto Ranch in Wisconsin... They have cars back to 1912. Maybe you could get your parts there your tools. There are some other junk yards in that area, I don't recall the name of them a whole bunch of old cars in them, it might not hurt to research. Beautiful automobile I wish you well in your search.
Thanks. We will be releasing a new video every week. We will also be bringing to you all the people who make this magic happen on these cars. Stay tuned.
Very cool car, loved hearing about and seeing all the features, only thing is I wish it was a little longer with a little more detail. As with everything good we always want more. Thanks for showing it.
@@claytoresto I watched it. Interesting! I noted the bore X stroke being the same as the 302 Chevy (if my memory serves), which would make it a 600+ cube motor. Were any torque estimates made in those days? That's where I bet it would really shine.
Love your work and videos! An episode of "I Love Lucy" had Fred Mertz' convertible Cadillac featured in a story line. It had the wooden spoke wheels. Can't remember if the year was even mentioned. It was the episode where Ricky was getting a new Pontiac iirc.
“One of the best looking front ends of any car from 1930-1931”? Quite the accolade! Nice review, shame about not actually hearing the V16 engine though
I loooveeeedd the turning lights with the wheels. That is TECHNOLOGY and INNOVATION. Amazing.
And also the Tucker Torpedo with its single headlight in the middle that moved as you turned the wheel.
Just off the top of my head, I think Tucker had them too.
Also the Tucker had this feature in the center light mounted between the two primary headlights.
Beautiful car incredibly stunning. Every component is like a work of art. The aesthetics totally outdo anything you will find in a modern car. Thank you for sharing!

calling it magnificent is an insult. it is beyond magnificent. no words to describe it other than beyond magnificent.

Beautiful automobile. Please consider showing the engine in your future videos. Thanks
Yes also would love to hear the sound from that v16
Great explanation of car and compartments, accessories, etc. Great video.
No look at the engine. One of most unique engines in automotive history. No look.
It is in another video on my channel.
one feature you missed the v16 itself
I have other video's on my channel where the car is running and driving.
Another great job!!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😖

I just found your videos and liked all the information you have on this Cadillac. I’m hoping other videos are similar to this one ☝️.
Magnificent car you give good presentations, would of liked to see the motor..
Magnificent!
In1931 that got a lot of respect.......still does
Amazing beautiful Restored excellent jobs. I love it a very big fan of this 1930 to 1940 model👍
I love the old tires on old cars.
Jack's Auto Ranch in Wisconsin...

I got the Cadillac CT6 commercial when I watch this video.
All I can say is excellent, very well done ...
Absolutely gorgeous
Beautiful Car 👍
Incredible masterpiece I would liked to see the engine.
A classic among classics.
fantastick work
Nice. Upvote/subscribe. But I would have liked to have seen more about the engine, which was really what I clicked to see.
There is a video on my channel that shows the engine and another one where we get it out and run against a 1934 Packard.
@@claytoresto I watched it. Interesting! I noted the bore X stroke being the same as the 302 Chevy (if my memory serves), which would make it a 600+ cube motor. Were any torque estimates made in those days? That's where I bet it would really shine.
Your Video presentation is First Rate! If I owned that Cad, I would drive it sometimes, but rather spend time kicking in the back and be driven around!
I get a hard on looking at this car
*Happiness is; Bathing in the light.*
"Let the Sunshine In."
Could show it starting and at idle?
Very good
Love your work and videos!

That caddy was featured on one of hemming magazines it's been restored think was a 1916 . Classic car magazine maybe 3 yrs ago .
Muy Hermoso Auto !👍
Fantastic.
Majestic!! 👀👍
Very nice.. car..👍👍👍
Thank you 👍
That is a beautiful car!
my fave. BUT '31? Don't know if I would tool around town in such opulence back then. A broken-down T would be much more street-appropriate!
Beautiful automobile! was that a courtesy light between the two compartments on the run board?
Beautiful!
That's old timey, Leon !
Your logo interesty resembles fantasy of flight. Any association to Mr. Weeks?
This and the Duesenburg from the same year are beautiful cars.
There also was a 16 cylinder Marmon with 2 OHC engine ! Would love to see a review of this car!
beautiful
amazing car... every american luxury car should look like that in the 30s.
Is this pretty fast when you get up to 50? Does it have enormous torque and power?
The Best !
Qué belleza, una obra de arte
*you should show the V16 engine*
What a magnificent car, so much better than the junk they have been making for the last 20 years.
“One of the best looking front ends of any car from 1930-1931”? Quite the accolade! Nice review, shame about not actually hearing the V16 engine though
