I'm a solo player as well. I never do pvp unless it's an fps shooter. I love mmorpg's like WoW. Just haven't played one in years. I'm strictly a casual console player now as I'm up in years now and don't have alot of game time now. But I'm definitely gonna play until I hit that wall.
If you're a casual, p2w is a nonfactor. Reach your goals on your own time. I'm less concerned with p2w and more with time gated paywall games which I'm not seeing so far.
Same here brother. I recently played the other October release and Amazon Games sister game "New World". Just que for dungs with pugs and have fun, life skill and explore the world. Maybe buy a house. My only worry is there are no life skills in T&L iirc there is a barebones fishing minigame where you cook food for buffs ala most MMO's thats it. Just like to say to anyone listening just have fun upto level 50 then decide if you want to really invest and don't worry about the leaderboards leave that to the greasy sweatlords who live that swipe cc life 😂

It’s funny how you said you don’t like the fact you need friends to do better endgame content cuz your not someone who plays all day(no life eating Cheetos) even tho you pretty much play all day lol 😂
Something to note is to make sure that you research the weapon combo you will be using and experiment before around level 20 because switching weapons becomes a chore later on after you've spent all those resources that become hard to come by at later levels.
In regards to the seemless switching between Tab-target and Action, Guild Wars 2 had that implemented long before. Which you can toggle between both mode with a toggle-key. Most likely the fact that NC-Soft has their hands in both GW2 and T&L.

I got it shut off not to tab to the next target. Guess what another enemy gets close to the guy I’m attacking, it targets that instead. I have to constantly swap back to the guy I’m fighting. Pisses me off. I had to put it down. Not sure when I’ll pick it back up.

How is pvp balanced? For example, in Final Fantasy 14 even if you could buy entire sets and plvl, stats and items are still equalized in pvp. in ESO champion points can be locked in most pvp modes. Is there something like that here?
I loved wow raids and dungeons, spent years in bdo where everything was damn solo which for me defeated the purpose of playing an MMO, so I'm down for needing a group to progress even if I lean more towards casual

Game does everything worse than any established MMO. it feels like a mobile game and i had no choice but to skip all dialogue and anything world building because it was straight up garbage. I think its just a backdrop for getting to pvp. So i guess maybe it will be for a niche audience or which is fine. Lots of people play games like that in their libraries. ( GTFO is probably my niche game) Anywho just one man's take. Nothing wrong with PVP mmos

Which is something people do all the time. It’s 2024, on-screen translations and applications are literally everywhere. I’ve played Chinese games for years and don’t know the language. When I get stuck, I use my on-screen translator app-problem solved. This includes using emulators like MUMU Player.

@@xz4409 Game is f2p as of today 7PM CET in Europe (10AM Pacific Time), I down own a PS5, bought a PC after PS4 so if the PSN situation is the same as back then then yeah, you don't need PS Plus. Game is completely free to play although I would suggest you to buy the first battle pass cause it's a very good help for the initial gear enhancement and it's only 10$... after that you can keep playing without spending a dime and you'll be completely fine, don't listen to the doomers that say you need to sell your house to win in this game, it's total bullshit...
You can NOT level all weapons in this game... You really should pick 2 and focus on those. Swapping weapons is OK early (green and maybe even blue), but swapping after purple will be very difficult. The reason is you get almost all your growth materials from the main quest... and then they are drip fed to you over time via dailies. Swapping weapons after you hit purple will put you way behind. You'd be better off making a whole new character for the different weapons, and you are limited to only 2 characters.

Early days, it looks pretty impressive for a new MMO although I'd like to see how well it stands against ESO when it gets out of beta.

there are open world Raids that require whole alliances to compete for them with pvp, with good mechanics etc, and there are also guild Raids.
