I’m getting back on trail next weekend and going all the way to Durango from Spring Creek. 22/23 had me so nervous! After watching your videos I feel a bit better! Thanks for the tips. Happy trails.
Thank you, Jenn! That's truly the highest compliment! You are going to love that stretch of the trail! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you plan your adventure!
So motivating! I have followed your videos closely as on Sunday. June 17th, I will be making my own attempt on the Colorado Trail. Thank you for all of your advice and motivational videos!!
Haha! I think I might need to make a "cheat sheet" for people when I finish the series. Thought about making it on a bandana. Is this your first time headed from Denver to Durango? Pretty sure you're gonna crush it even without my videos.
I really hope they help people. The CT is such a special space. I want people to feel comfortable and confident when they go out there. Have you dialed in your camera rig for the trip yet? I’m hoping to learn more about this soon.
@@OutsideComfortZone I think I'm pretty much settled on photo gear. Taking a Sony a7R3 with only 1 lens, a 16-35mm that should be good for landscapes and milky way. Not taking anything telephoto. Also taking a DJI Mini2 and a GoPro H9. Whole lotta weight !
Absolutely! In the past, I’ve sent a box to the Raven’s Rest, but I’m not sure it’ll be open this year. That said, there is a small grocery store in Lake City that should have everything you need unless you have a specific dietary restriction. 🙌🏼
Haha! Don't let the rides and stuff stress you out. Most folks in Colorado are pretty ready to help a hiker out. You headed outside somewhere this weekend, Buckley?
You wouldn’t be the first, but there are also so many killer campsites along that stretch that I’d try to camp just before treeline going up or just past the saddle in the middle. But I won’t judge you regardless.
It's getting super close! I don't feel ready just yet! I have a poor-man's pad Thai recipe I've tried to film three different times and the camera keeps glitching out or the put tips over. I'm going to call it cursed pad thai! haha! Hopefully the video will come out this week. How's the rest of the prep coming along for you?
@@OutsideComfortZone slow going. I think I’ve got the resupply towns determined and now need to start packing boxes. Still have more to dehydrate. You?
Surprisingly, despite most dog's literal nature, she's an abstract artist working with mixed media in the post-postmodern moment of new sincerity. But she still has a one-track mind: "Cheese and belly rubs, cheese and belly rubs, cheese and belly rubs."

Thank you, Joseph! I can’t wait to hear how your adventure turns out!
That's a fine looking group of hikers!
That was a pretty stellar summer, to be sure. Looking forward to crushing a couple miles in the next few weeks!
Lots of great info! Going to need to watch them all again and write notes. :-)

@@OutsideComfortZone Great idea Snackbox! Id buy one. I’m also rewatching and asking notes in the data book.

@@OutsideComfortZone Your vidoes are helping me immensely! Upping my "comfort zone" for doing this! :-)
lols! ....Dad jokes. 😎 Thanks for the video!
Haha! That ketchup joke was the best dad joke I’ve heard in a long time 😂
Great job as always. Ketchup joke was on point.
Haha! Thanks, MotM! I saw that this week and thought it was hilarious. You huntin' sheds anywhere good this weekend?
@@OutsideComfortZone I am hoping to get out a little on Saturday morning. Probably somewhere pretty close to home.
Any day in the woods is worth the trip. Looking forward to seeing your next video, my friend.
Where did you send your resupply in Lake City? Thanks for all the videos.

@@OutsideComfortZone thanks for the quick reply! Again the videos have been great helping put the finishing touches on the plan for this year.
@@LucasHiker glad to hear they’ve helped! Lemme know if I can help with anything else as you dial in your plans!
Man, all the logistics and rides just make me stressed. Haha. This sounds like a pretty decent section though!

Don't ever apologize .... lol. Do you think it will be bad form to slack pack over the ten mile range section (hwy 9--copper)???

Time is getting closer. Working toward that one month celebration. Do you have any favorite dehydrated recipes to share?

About the same. I’m going to roll with grocery stores this year but I still need to dial in my gear setup.
Ummm...did you give her some snacks? Dogs are pretty literal. Snack Box is a box of snacks...for her.
