GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD / YOU ALL IN MY HEART 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I do not even think Suffocation realises how good they are...
They're huge artists and unbelievably courageous individuals. Streets should be renamed in their honor, as far as I'm concerned at least.
What is good about underground metal is these bands are all humble bout their talents.
Et Dieu créa Dieu, à l'image de Dieu, et par humilité, il l'appela Homme...
@@nr655321 wouldn't mind if we get Hand Chop Avenue for starters
@@tatonghudas 👋🏼
I'm black and I've been listening to Death Metal since 1995.
First Death Metal album:
Suffocation - Pierced From Within
DM/UBDM forever!!
best album right there, that was my first one too!
OK, but what does your skin color have to do with this?
@@SWAATSFan well if you are black, then most of the time people won't assume that you are into this kind of heavy music, I had to experience this a lot. The metal scene is still plagued with stereotypical thinking and prejudice, PoC are rarely represented in this scene as well as women. So what does it matter to you, when a brother is celebrating a critically acclaimed Death Metal act, which two of the founding members are PoC and literally invented modern metal styles like blast beats, slamming riffs and breakdowns? Of course people like us feel connected this way, but probably hard to understand, if you are not a minority
@@WeavileWest I understand exactly where you are coming from! I am black too . Luckily I have never had an issue .
@@WeavileWest preach
I always liked how Derek Boyer holds his bass in a vertical position, it almost looks as if he's in a symphonic orchestra
He's fucking badass as hell
They are an abhorrently gorgeous orchestra of the dark side of existence - This exact lineup could quite possibly be one the best group of artists ever in Metal period!
I love it, he looks so fuckin evil !
I've heard, he played double bass as a kid. Which would pretty much explain it.
this gotta be the best band in the world , seriously who else does that at 2:25 to 2:49 that is the mos insane , sophisticated and sexiest breakdown I ever heard.
They are really good at breakdowns i mean look at the breakdown in "pierced from within" i've never heard such thing in my life. It's insane
Suffocation, you will always be one of my favorite death metal bands ever.
My Death Metal Big 4 is:
4. Suffocation
3. Immolation
2. Morbid Angel
1. Death
@@jaimuzyka3177 Cannibal Corpse???
@@pantera89 Not a fan of
@@jaimuzyka3177 i understand, but they are in the top 5 for Florida Death Metal....they are pioneers of the Genre....but Suffocation will ALWAYS be no.1 to me.......\m/
@@pantera89 Well, my rank has changed, now it is:
4. Morbid Angel
3. Bloodbath
2. Death
1. Suffocation
"Eat the cheetos in this place" 3:37 xD HAIL FUCKING SUFFO!!!!
THE DARK AGES!!!! i loved that History Channel comercial
This has to be one of the best death metal songs I've ever heard in my life.
What an unbelievably well-planned (and executed) song!
That's Suffoc. The best death metal band
If you say so. All I can say is that some of their songs (among which "to weep once more", "bind torture", "breeding the spawn", "Images Of Purgatory", "sullen days", "thrones of blood", to name a few) are so beautifully put together that they seem surprising even if I've already heard them a few hundred times.
@@nr655321 they are one of the few bands I put on the top that doesn't lose the sense of musical elegance while pounding your kneecaps with a sledge hammer at a blistering speed with the force of a collapsing sun... lol
love all their albums
Suffocation are brutal this song stomps
Mike Smith is totally Badass
Ardyan Gorust most definitely !
too bad he's not with Suffocation anymore :(
i know that feel :(
He’s amazing. Every hit is like a slam with a blood-soaked boot.
@@danmoth5126 because it is. He was one of the old guard. The real deal who could do the shit without triggers, with hits that cave skulls in.
Underrated album in my opinion
All of their albums are superb and idc what anyone says!
Band with the sickest breakdowns!!!
Timeless...
LYRICS :
A calamitous future
Warning cries of inhuman terror
As time elapses
A period of purification draws near
Those who survive
Will endure endless
Dark periods of spaces and time
Visionary, profound
The wounds of all
Have become one
Rise to power
Ominous games of slaughter
A future yet to unfold
Fire and swords shall sweep the land
The end of time, this unnumbered
The terrible judge
Will judge his people
Indigenous events plague
Indigenous events plague
First light of wisdom
The 4th world will end
And the 5th will begin
Cataclysmic…
this album and souls to deny are incredible..
Brunetto46 yup, crazy how they’re the least mentioned, I’ve seen them twice and they never played anything from souls :(
Both good albums, not a lot of people talk about how good Souls to Deny was though
Damn I love that riff at 1:19 and when it comes back later two more times. It's like he slid into that riff and said, "Fuck it! Let's play it again two more times.".
That breakdown at 1:50 is just pure filthy.
Everything about this is pure art - the video included.
1:50 it's so groovy you can sing along to it, that's what i love about suffocation
Suffocation are my favourite death metal band
LOL this song is actually about the 4th world we live in at themoment , and sing about the last catalcysmic event which can be concidered as the big flood. Nice you guys. Found you during my research haha :D great ! instant like !
Turns out the great cataclysmic event is COVID-19, a bioweapon designed to destroy Hong Kong that was released by accident before it could be field tested in Tibet. So fitting that man should be undone by his own arrogance and incompetence...
SUFFOCATION RULES EVER!!🤟🤟🤟
VIDA LONGA AO SUFFOCATION
Suffocation, one the early death metal purveyors still kick the shit out of most newer death metal bands!
HAIL SUFFOCATION!!!
I saw them live at the donkey, it was sick!!!!!!!!!! I talked to most of them, they're really respectful to thier fans! I got a signed copy of blood oath, and a signed poster :D
sad to see only hobbs and boyer are in the band from this lineup. mike smith and mullen were not replaceable imo. they with hobbs made suffocation what it was.
pumped to see these guys for the 5th time tomorrow. Suffocation is my favorite live band. fucking flawless everytime.
Seen them 3 times on their first 3 album tours. And they were great all 3 times. The third time I fell a sleep seeing them it was great.
Suffocation is awesome... they are just totally fuckin awesome...
my question is, why are we fighting when suffocation is playing? we should bow down and hail these legends!
This song is absolutely iconic!
Forever hail frank .... one of the mightiest voices of the genre.
This song is fucking phenomenal, hail Suffocation...
My fav death metal band ! No. 1 death metal band to be precise!! I love always whatever they do!! God bless Suffocation!!
Sick breakdown.
holy shit .this is one of my favorite songs in the album.................... THIS IS AWOSOME!
This song melted my face. Then the album ate it.
The most technical band in the world.
I dunno. Within a specific era or genre I would say yes, but Arsis, when it's about true deathmetal, but I feel what you say
They are technical......but with a PURPOSE and not to just showcase how many notes and scales etc they can play like other bands do. Their technicality is TO make the SONG amazing and not 'show off'.
I can't believe I'll be seeing them live in 2 days... I am ready!
+maurismind With Nile?
How was the show?
Júlio Salotti That was with Nile indeed! Sufffocation were amazing, they got me from the first second they started playing, such a crazy set, great stage presence from the whole band, etc. Frank wasn't there, but the vocalist who was filling in did an amazing job, sounded brutal as hell. Guy was there too, thankful to have seen him as he left the band recently. I headbanged soooo much, they played hit after hit and when they closed with Infecting the Crypts I thought I had no more energy but they got me moving even more violently, such a great time!
Nile were boring in comparison, though I quite like them I wasn't a fan of their setlist. I got to see Nile again this year though, with Melechesh, and that second time Nile played Unas Slayer of the Gods
Sounds really amazing.
maurismind Dang! Seems like it was awesome! And I'm glad you got to see Nile again and liked it better this time! =]
Now I gotta pray for the elders gods to let them come down to Brazil so I can watch their shows!
@the16th6toothson You absolutely correct.. you have to listen to this album at least 10 times more than you regularly listen to a techinical death metal album.. then you get it!
Yeah you are totally right, that riff is really catchy, they sure still are able to create som really great riffs
Fuck me, Suffocation is the best death metal band in existence.
Their concert last year with Arch Enemy is an experience I will never forget.
It's so great that they still keep it old school after all of these years. Fucking masters of Death Metal
Suffocation Records are kick-ass when driving!
I remember they played this in Australia and mentioned this would be release few weeks later. Mike has got his hair in this video clip. Was awesome meeting them all.
This album has been growing on me.
I just saw these guys live in Vancouver, absolutely amazing.
This album is the closest they've ever gotten to capturing how brutal they are live, production wise. But nothing beats seeing them in person, everytime I've had the pleasure of seeing them they've played damn near perfect. And Frank is a great frontman, hilarious between songs, intense as a heart attack during
Yeah, you're right, it was the grind/punk scene in the 80's, Napalm and Extreme Noise Terror were the first to label it a "blast" beat.
Agreed! I've seen these guys twice and they have ALWAYS gotten the crowd fucking KILLER. When they called for it, a pit was made. I've seen them segue 3 or 4 songs together and just have constant entire-audience pits. Fucking. Amazing.
damn dont be that angry about those people who don´t know anything about real metal. just chill out and listen to this great song of one of the best bands ever!
Yeah the production on Pierced From Within just made that album really stand out, it fit Suffocation's music amazingly.
I bet when the badass drummer and guitarist headbangs they feel like they're getting slapped in the face by 1000 floppy fucking Slim Jims.. Stay fucking badass Suffocation.
this is awesome. I love old school death metal bands. I play in a small death metal band from florida and it's so disheartening when the only gigs I can get are with scene kids and hardcore bands...
Lives up to the reputation of death metal having amazing songs and cheezy music videos.
Finally broke down and bought this album to be truly appreciated it must be played loud.,,,Suffo fuckin slays and I've seen 'em on stage with Morbid Angel, Behemoth, Cryptopsy, Carcass and most recently on their 20th anniversary tour...Suffo slays live..HAIL THE MIGHTY SUFFOCATION!!
@Ozterkvlt I think it's a good idea. It gives a rest to all that videos where the only thing you see is the dudes of the bands with ocassional flashes of "Zidjan", "Pearl", "Marshall" or "LTD" and if they are daring enough, you'll probably get to see random footage of a concert.
heavy heavy heavy
This song/band kicks butt. The guitar riffs and drums are so brutal.
I saw these guys about 2 years back when they played with Decapitated, Fear Factory, and Hypocrisy, and these guys fucking tore it up like no other I have seen! Their drummer is probably one of the best ever in death metal.
After all this years respect from Belgium
Simply epic.
3:51 Sick fucking breakdown
Some would say I talk shit (and should get shot) but Blood Oath is something like Prog/Tech/Brutal Death Metal
Their best album after return! And best sounding
Always hit the spot perfectly!!
My bros from STRONG ISLAND NY ! ! THIS SONG MAKES ME HAPPY :)
the growl at 1:02 is pretty much a win!
Best song of Blood Oath... and cool video.
The last minute of the song reminds me of Morbid Angel.
Adri Tunggono pretty much the whole Dismal Dream song reminds me of Morbid Angel
Morbid Angel deals with mystical things. Suffocation is more metabolic.
exactly what i was thinking. not at all a bad thing!
Suffocation and morbid angel are both bands with a death metal sound that sometimes leaps into black metal, those blast beats are very similar to darkthrone's blast beats, except that suffocation's don't crush the whole guitar sound in the tracks with plates.
Both great bands!
They're better than Morbid Angel.
"And after little Jimmy listened real metal like suffocation, he started to be a REAL MAN"
classick death metal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This song ruled when they played it in Sydney.
soooo awesome best riff @ 2:28
melts my face
SUFFOCATION!!! RULES!!!
The riffs are insane 🔥🔥🔥
Best death drummer ever!!!
great stuff, one of the best metal bands around.
Suffocation fucking rules... Great old band...! Hail...
2:26 BRUTALITY
Frank Mullen is one of the best fucking frontmen ever. The way he interacts with the crowd at live shows is fucking awesome. Long live Suffocation!
best...song.....ever...!!!!!
Most DM videos like this one have that sort of "grimy" filter to them and it sort of ruins in, especially with the effects at 1:23 where Frank is shouting at the camera, but I think they pulled it off really well, esp. with the pastel(?) art in-between band shots.
tl;dr Suffocation rules
When intellect and ability meet.
🤘🏼
Such a killer fuckin' track with awesome animation. One of the best Death Metal band ever.
this is how death metal was, is , will be, and always should be.
God that bassist had got such a nice tone to his sound i fucking love it
HAIL ALL OLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL BANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THEIR BEST ALBUM!!!
До сих пор не видел и не слышал ничего более охуительного!
Wow, this video is actually one of the few underground metal videos that I like! Nice choice, really nice choice. Love the animation.
Perfect!!U made my day..metalchick here from manila phil
@ohsnapmyballs: As I Lay Crying does not deserve to mentioned in the same breath as the Mighty Suffocation
SUFFO RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
don't forget as well, this is one of their more recent albums. these guys have been going 20 years +. where are you?nowhere
YES....
best death metal band ever, next to obituary.
that guitar riff that that dude does is pretty sick
Holy fuck that song is awesome!!! Suffocation is death metal at it's most brutal!!!
