These dudes are a perfect blend of black and death metal
I've been fingerpicking bluegrass , classical and flamenco for 30 years, Belphagor is one of two black metal bands I listen to. They are very musical and a big fan of the guitarist for his perfect tone and signature artifical harmonic/bend thing that I can recognize a mile away

Saw these guys in montreal 2 or 3 years ago , there was about 1/10 of the capacity of people there , could not beleive it , that was sad to see , you could see the band trying to give their best knowing there was practically nobody at the show. Felt really bad for them.

All Devil worshiping aside... These guys are on extremely talented levels artistically and over the top accurate musicians. I've seen these guys live in los angeles at the whiskey. It was one of the most mind blowing experiences seeing these guys shred in front of your eyes.
there is only one way I would go see these guys "shred", they hit the stage chewing on lit sticks of dynamite, halfway through their opening number all of their heads explode covering the stage with brainmatter then a real band from austria, Sir Psyko And His Monsters, comes out and plays a set on top of their corpses

Damn, I never knew. I always thought it was such a great melody in this death metal song.
I'm ever so slightly disappointed that these guys didn't create that otherworldly evil riff, but not surprised it was lifted from a great composer.

A couple of years ago I went to a Deicide concert and Belphegor opened for them. Didn't really know about them so I just sat around the bar area to wait for Deicide. They started playing and I was like Holy Shit! Actually after I left the concert I was thinking of this band more than the one I originally went to see.

I used to listen to this song only on the full album, and when I played it the album instantly appeared into my mind . Masterpiece, as always. Belphegor is the first extreme metal band I have ever listened to, and it is one of my favourite 3 bands.

Helmuth will regain his voice as I'm sure he has faith in himself. I get hopefull when I hear the newer live stuff. He's a beast. I miss hearing those brutal ranges on albums and live sets alike, and I look forward to hearing it back at 110% and I know that I will. Belphegor goes down as one of my favourite blackened death metal bands. Their brutality is unmatched. It's a unique sound that I cannot find anywhere else. May your horns reign forever high.
